Great Day Of The Lord

When the Bible speaks of the great day of the Lord such as in Zeph. 1:14, "The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly." What time is referred too? (When will this happen)

"Why jesus must come back, ""

MUST is not a word to use about Jesus.

When discussing the freedom of Jesus we would do well to remember that Jesus's words form a box from which he cannot and will not attempt to escape. Example, Jesus said that he would return again to gather in his own unto himself, therefore we can be absolutely certain that he will return just as he said he would, the big question is when!!!

Immediately after the tribulation of these days. The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light, the stars will FALL from the sky, and the celestial powers will be shaken.>>>And all you people who thinks YOU are so smart and strong, my God is coming on the clouds of heaven, hallelujah, with powers and great glory. And then He is going to bring out His most powerful angels with a loud trumpet and He will gather His elect from all over this whole world. YEA!>>Look over in Matthew 24:28, Wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather. Now go back to Zeph. 1:17. Blood poured out like dust and their flesh like dung. GOD will make a complete, yes a horrifying end of ALL the inhabitants of the EARTH.

Why jesus must come back, i must say, mankind could soon destroy itself, science, now realize, man has the power to erase human life, Bible prochecy shows that as we come to the end of this age, more disasters will stike, like earthquake, shocking weathers, polluted floods, famine, drought, starvation, disease, all will affect the world, God says, i will shake heaven and earth, sea and land, mountains, Islands will move,Why? man is to rebellios,But mercy he has,to send jesus to cut short does horrible punishments,SO THAT JESUS MAY COME AS KING OF ALL KINGS.

What happens is caused by?????

Which (man or God) caused the crucifixion of Jesus?...or was it simply that God foretold of what man does/would do?

What happens in the Tribulation is what God causes not man. God uses these curses and plagues to bring mankind to a point of realization. That is Salvation is Free and mankind cannot provide it for himself. He has used things like this in the past and He will again.

NASA plans to send two spacecraft later this year to explode on the moon and expects it to release 1102 tons of moon fragments and dust into it's atmosphere. In time, this may cause the days to be shortened to 16 hour days...

Revelation 8:12
"and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light was darkened, a third of the day was kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night".

("struck" doesn't have to mean a 'physical impact').

NASA to Strike the Moon with a Double Sledgehammer

Time may be shorter than you think.

When the bible speaks of the great day of the LORD I believe the time being referred to is the judgment day. That is why the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. It will be a day of reckoning for those who would not have given their lives to Jesus Christ as their LORD and SAVIOUR. Malachi 4:1 states that "For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff, and the day that is coming will set them ablaze," says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch."

"The great day of the Lord" (in this verse and elsewhere as well) refers to a day in which God brings judgment/wrath. In this instance, the Lord is directing His wrath toward Judah, who has "turned back from the LORD, and...have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him" (verse 6). Recall that the disobediance of God's people ultimately was the cause of their desolation and exile.

Joel 2:11
And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible, and who can abide it?

Joel 2:31
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.

2 Thessalonians 2
1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,

It's the Day of HIS WRATH!!!!

"The Great Day of the Lord" is the day the Lord returns and no one but our Heavenly Father knows when that day will come.

Just know it is coming and it's coming soon!

So live your life as God Wills you to live and eagerly anticipate the coming of the Lord.
