It seems Obama will have the tax payer support abortions again. So Sad..
---calhoon on 11/11/08|
Hi y'all, I would just love to see a President put his own country FIRST! Hasn't happened for so long I don't know if such a man exists anymore (although now with Obama maybe) but it would sure be nice!

America, the world is watching us on this important election . Experience vs. Change, Change and Hope vs. The same old mentality.. United Vs. Division!
Some people have not grown beyond their nose and selfish interest. We are neither white, black nor Brown we are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. America Wake Up what has racism done for us? The whole world is watching what we do, whether we have grown beyond these disease called racism. In this election neither race nor single issues should be what we vote on but who will best deliver for us. Always ask yourself who is for you not who you are for.
George Bush has Isolated us, has damaged our reputation, crippled our economy, and McCain has the same mentality. We NEED CHANGED!

Complete honesty. An end to our involvement in wars or military actions unless attacked.Jobs for everyone willing and able to work.Good healthcare for everyone. The possibility for a good education for everyone who wants it.I don't want much do I? But you did ask the question.
---shirley on 9/24/08|
"How about simply looking at the best person for the job?" What's your criteria for doing that Ralph? Is it character or skin color?
There's certainly a plethora of ethnic diversity in the world, but only one hueman race Ralph. Your affirmative action comment is racially off-color.
If you had objectively read what I said you would know I intend to vote for the person who shows the strength of character I believe best represents the goals & aspirations of "we the people". Unfortunately, we live in a culture that historically, rather than being color blind, has been satanically blinded by skin color.
As for your judgmental name calling, I'm first & foremost Christian-American. Growup Ralph! :)
---Leon on 9/21/08|
Leon, it's Liberals like yourself who continue to classify and group people by skin color and ethnicity. I thought we were to be colorblind. You guys are all obsessed with quotas and affirmative action based on race, etc.
How about simply looking for the best person for the job? You find somebody like that and it won't matter what they look like, except maybe to you.
---ralph7477 on 9/21/08|
Hi Ralph, yes it is infuriating when people rip off the system, some of us truly are on disability for a good reason, including myself.
---Mary on 9/20/08|
I want to see ethnic diversity finally break the "racial class ceiling" in the U.S. presidency. There has been forty-three (times 2 if you count the U.S. VPs) "white male" presidents. I want to see an America where African-American, Hispanic, Native American, Asian American, Anglo-Americans, etc., male & female, can all reach the top executive position without regard of one's race. That in itself would be a paramount change to the current "whites only" status quo presidency. America, growup!
Christians who are yet up to your necks in "racial" prejudice, would do well to go back to Genesis 1-3, read & understand God made one race of people, i.e., hueman beings.

I just saw a Judge Judy where one of the defendants happened to be collecting years of Social Security payments for a supposed disability. Turned out that her "disability" was a fear of leaving the house and going out in pubic or some such nonsense. She went on to testify that she paid all of her bills in person because she didn't have a bank account.
So all of us taxpayers can be comforted in the knowledge that this poor disabled person, somebody who can somehow manage to travel around to the phone company, electric company, cable company, etc to pay her bills, and who mustered up the courage to appear on a TV show, is being subsidized for her horrible fear of leaving the house.
Sarah Palin/Judge Judy for President/VP

You make some good points Grant--granted :D Sorry--had to say that :D Anyway, though, I assume you don't lump people on disability into that "stealing" category? I hope not, many of us have no choice and are very thankful for the blessings of disability and social security. I did work for many years and paid plenty of taxes into Social Security so I try to remember that when I feel ashamed for being unable to work anymore. My disability is mostly mental and it caused me endless pain while trying to succeed at COUNTLESS jobs.

I would like to see the president encourage us to stop using the government to steal from our neighbor. For some reason, we have all decided that we can ask the govenrment to steal from our neighbor and give us free education, free health care, free food, free housing, etc., etc. etc. I still believe in "thou shalt not steal". I also believe that if we want to be charitable and help a neighbor out with any of the above, that god would be happy with that. But, I can't see god being happy if I "rob peter to pay paul". If I charitably help a neighbor, I show my love for my neighbor and this helps bond us together. If by force of government we take from some to give to others, no bond is created and love is lost.

If Obama is elected then I hope to see very few changes.

I would like to see FREE education for every American throughout all levels. This would enable those who truly want to pull themselves out of poverty to do so. It would also raise the standard of living tremendously here.
---SusieB on 9/2/08|
Actually the best thing that the next President could do for education is to abolish the Department of Education. The President of the United States has no business getting involved with local education systems.
The country functioned quite nicely for 200 years without a Dept. of Education and today's students aren't nearly as well educated as prior generations.
---ralph7477 on 9/2/08|
Likely, his foolish character is going to dictate this country as much as he turns out to not be a puppet of players already in power ... like how Bill Clinton backed right down from his promise to OK open gays in the military. I don't know how much Obama, for instance, would discover himself being controlled versus having say and control. So, the change I'd *like* to see is that whoever gets in will discover becoming honest and informed, then doing what he can realistically be expected to do. "nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3) "And we will be friends in prayer FOR whoever gets in (o: " 1 Timothy 2:1-3 > OUR job description (o:

We shall start with scripture>>>"how can you be true to your country if you are not true to your God"? The world is going to become messier, this is a fact. So we need someone in the whitehouse who is born-again and can ofcourse get their instructions from the one, true, God..Jesus Christ. Only true warrior. I just do not know what else to add. Have a good week everyone.

Good cheap healthcare for all.The end of the war.Plenty of jobs for those willing and able to work at a decent wage.

the nation to quit becoming a nation of laws. it already controls the people way to much. take responsibility for you and your own for their needs and quit depending on the government to take care of you. is why the country is the way it is now.
---john on 9/1/08|
As an elementary school teacher, I'd like to see the next president do something about the educational system in our country. NCLB is NOT getting things done. In fact, NCLB is huring more than it is helping.
---Bobby3 on 9/1/08|
Great answers so far!! AMEN!
---Mary on 9/1/08|
Changes I'd like to see made are to stop illegal immigration, support the boarder patrol, increase SS benefits to meet inflation, win the war in the Middle East, send illegals home and stop paying illegals health bills and other forms of government back programs.

I would like to see a pull out of troops in Iraq, an emphasis on getting our economy back on track, with employment opportunities for everyone in this country. I would also like to see "No Child Left Behind" funded so that schools can meet the obligations the law insists on and children can be adequately prepared for their responsibilities in our society when they become adults.
