Out Of The Book Of Life

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. What exactly is "his part" that is going to be taken away?

Then, Revelations talks of two distinct groups. Those who are of the 144,000 from Jewish bloodlines (way back) and then a further Great Multitude which is uncountable of the ones who went through the tribulation and fulfilled the conditions. This is just a rough designation. Probably there are other categories of people.

YES---frances you are correct. But the way to salvation after the rapture is very hard on your neck, and also would result in a terrible headache. But anyway I agree and stand corrected.
---mima on 9/10/08

This is a reply to Mima who said that those who are not raptured will worship the antichrist. No, not necessarily so. If you have not believed in Christ for Salvation, and have not been raptured, or for some other (did not know Jesus Christ, were deceived by a religion etc) then you will go on through the tribulation and if you do what Matthew 25 talks of, you will see there are instructions there as to how to earn your salvation because the era of salvation by grace will be over.

The Greek word is "meros", which means "share" or "partnership". You see God gave us the Comission which is to Go preach the gospel, and the true gospel is repentance onto salvation, as stated in Luke 24:47. But many are preaching different gospels instead of the true gospel. Lit. Gk: "Truly I testify together, everyone hearing these words the prophecy of this Bibliou, If anyone add to these things, God he will add upon him the plagues that are written in this Biblio: and if anyone take away from the words of Bibliou which this prophecy, God he will take away the share of him from his Blessing the Life, and out of the city which holy, and of the things which are written in this Biblio." Rev.22:18,19.

Revelation 3:5

"and I will not blot his name out of the book of life".

Hebrews 5:14
"But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their faculties trained by practice to distinguish GOOD FROM EVIL."

Having a mind/desire for peaceful coexistence and being just is when the Holy Spirit (guarantee) will dwell within your heart [and mind].

Many are called, but not all will walk by the spirit.

The institutions (church buidings, etc.) of Christianity are very PARTISAN (like clubs/groups, you have to follow THEIR rules, brand names). The Lord said partisanship is insincere...

Philippians 1:17

"the former proclaim Christ out of partisanship, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment".
---more_excellent_way on 9/9/08

In institutional Christianity, we are taught the habit of 'INTERPRETING' all information that we ever hear or read. The result is that we misunderstand the original message. The Lord said that we should simply "understand" instead of interpret...
Ephesians 5:17
"Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is".

Romans 11:25
"Lest you be wise in your own conceits"

What I wrote before is actually incompatible with the institutional teachings of Christianity.

Hebrews 11:6 explains that "faith for" faith means that we should have 2 types of faith...

1) faith that God exists.
2) faith that He is loving and kind.

"Renewal of the mind" means to 'think differently' (attitudes change, paradigm shift in thinking, different reference point), not a simple "personality" change, a new [peaceful and just] NATURE.

When we accept/acknowledge Jesus as Saviour, God's spirit is available and we will begin to learn the "word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15), but in order to mature spiritually (GUARANTEE of remaining in the book of life), we must learn to have a new NATURE (peaceful AND just spirit,...holy).

Right/wrong are part of a CODE of morality, but God wants us to also understand (have knowkedge of) GOOD/EVIL (the tree eaten of in the Garden of Eden). Evil is anything that prevents peaceful coexistence "good").

Spiritually, the sin laws used to condemn/oppress all humanity, but Jesus came in order to fulfill and complete the sin laws so the laws would no longer spiritually condemn us (they are now ENDED/"finished" for we who are IN Jesus) so that now we can be rejoined to Jesus in daily life and reunited with God in the holy city.

The sin laws are the laws (requirements) of PERFECTION (and they always will be). No person can be PERFECT, or even thought of (deemed) as perfect (the ABSOLUTE of GOOD), we can only "practice goodness", so Jesus RE-deemed us by ending the spiritual CONDEMNATION caused by the sin laws ("abolishing" them for those that are IN Him). The sin laws still condemn those outside of Jesus.

We must have a present heaven in our heart AND MIND to qualify for entrance into the "new heaven" (Rev. 21:1)...
"new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed"

NO ONE is GOOD/PERFECT but God alone.
1 Corinthians 13:10
"when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away"

The NEW testament/covenant is based on the Holy Spirit (love) living in us.

That the O.T. must be studied is a FALLACY. The O.T. can sometimes be interesting, BUT THAT'S ALL. Mankind simply wants to be puffed up 'scholars' and build a 'money empire'. We must live under the PERFECT law (James 1:25 and 2:12) and learn to clearly separate (with God's sword) between good and evil.

--Rebecca D: *** God himself told Moses that if anyone sins against him he will blot their name out of the book of life. Exodus 32:33. I am not twisting scripture(s). ***

You say your not twisting scriptures BUT Exodus 32:33 says him will I blot out of MY BOOK. (NOT the Book of Life.) BUT MY BOOK!

It's out of context as well. Reading the whole chapter you'll realize that the book that is being spoken of is the scriptures/the book of the living/God's convent promises unto salvation in a messiah, Christ.

It is a warning to all that sin against God. They will be blotted-out, not having the chance of receiving the promises of salvation in Christ because they did not die in faith of what God spoke in His book, the scriptures.

--Timothy: *** So, can there be a possible loss of salvation for a believer? ****

Thank you Timothy for your question because upon answering it I've realized & heard more in the Spirit than I have before.

Upon receiving Christ Jesus, our hearts are sealed with (the Holy Spirit) God's promise UNTO SALVATION. But we do not actually receive salvation unto we are judged by God, on judgment day.

But we are sealed with God's PROMISE and since God CAN NOT lie, the seal can not be broken or removed.

So NO! Once a believer receives salvation (after being judged by God on judgment day) it can not be lost because there is no sin anymore to lose it to.
---Shawn.M.T on 9/8/08

God is unseen (not visible, "invisible nature", Romans 1:20). Words in scripture are "SEEN" and cannot express the unseen (God) sufficiently, so there will always necessarily be many misunderstandings unless we let our MIND be renewed by His spirit (the heart does what the mind tells it to).

God is no respecter of our PERSONalities (personalities are artificial), He only has regard for a person's true NATURE (the kind of person we really are). We must learn to think/live/understand in a spiritual way ("walk by the spirit"), not simply having "faith" (the ability to believe something). We must also have "the GREATEST of these".
---more_excellent_way on 9/9/08

--More Excellent Way: *** "Walk by the SPIRIT", not faith. Learn the "sword of the SPIRIT". Learn the DEPTHS from the SPIRIT (1 Corin. 2:10). ***

I believe I get what you're looking to convey. To renew our minds we must only be led in the Spirit and not by the faiths of men (which we can see).

We renew our minds when we allow the Spirit to guide our lives. This is considered "Walking by Faith".

The Spirit is of the unseen and can't be seen as things of the world are seen. So, we are to always look to use our anointing to keep our hopes alive in the unseen realm which is the essence of the Holy Spirit. This is what faith is:
The substance of things hoped for, the essence of things unseen.

--Frances008: *** Certain privileges, or positions. There is no need to assume that in Heaven we are all equal, in fact that seems definitely not to be the case. ****

Gods is no respecter of person, neither on the earth nor in Heaven!!

It is each person's sins that separates & defines them in the earth but after the last days of judgment and our fleshy body are quickened there will be nothing to discriminate or separate one soul from the next.

We will know who each soul is but we will all exist as one in Christ Jesus.

ShawnM.T, God himself told Moses that if anyone sins against him he will blot their name out of the book of life. Exodus 32:33. I am not twisting scripture(s). This is what the bible says. A person who has backslide on Christ, has lost their first love and God says in order for them to go to heaven, they must repent and do their first works over or else he will come quickly like a thief in the night. (paraphrasing) I don't know why this is so hard to understand, it may be hard to accept but it's isn't hard to understand.
---Rebecca_D on 9/8/08

Just reading that one verse many get it twisted & say " if anyone adds to or takes away from the entire bible God shall take them out of the book of life"....well reading the context he wasn't talking about the entire bible. He was talking about the prophecy in Revelation.

On another note, folks shouldn't take stuff out of context and teach it or add stuff to the context and teach it either. That's where confusion & division comes from.
---Rickey on 9/8/08

Many are called (and their names are in the book of life), but few will be chosen to remain in the book. Only those who decide to have a "FAITH FOR faith" (Romans 1:17) relationship based on "the greatest of these" (1 Corin. 13:13) and TRUST that The Lord did ALL that is necessary (Jesus did the "works", John 6:28, 9:3) for us to enter the "holy city" (afterlife heaven) because they have a present heaven (Rev. 21:1) in their heart and MIND (Rom. 12:2) won't be blotted out,...because they decided to use the annointing and learn what is true from the SPIRIT (1 John 2:27). "Walk by the SPIRIT", not faith. Learn the "sword of the SPIRIT". Learn the DEPTHS from the SPIRIT (1 Corin. 2:10).

I believe that the saved have their names written in the Book of Life, and that God is not going to blot their names out. There are some rewards that might be taken away from such people. Certain privileges, or positions. There is no need to assume that in Heaven we are all equal, in fact that seems definitely not to be the case.

--Mima: **** When your borne your name is placed in the book of life.(you have been given life) and it is from this book that your name can be blotted out off. ****

The Book of Life and the Lamb's Book of Life are one & the same.

Rev.17:8 "they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world"

Sounds like to me NOT every ones name is put in the Book of Life and that God knew beforehand who would receive salvation in Christ.

Why would God put a name in only to blot-it-out or put a name in that, He knew before the foundation of the world, would not receive salvation in the last days? I do not believe He would.
---Shawn.M.T on 9/6/08

--Rebecca D: **** takes scriptures away for whatever reason, will have their name erased/blotted out from the book of life....so they may not tear the scriptures out literally, they pretend those scriptures don't exist. And they deny that some things exist. ****

There's no denying that this does exist & it's in its proper contexts: John 6:39 this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

There is no TWISTING of these words, seeing how they came straight from the mouth of Christ Jesus. So how could the name of any saved soul get blotted out of the Book of Life, if all (souls) which God has given Christ, He WILL LOSE NOT ONE?
---Shawn.M.T on 9/6/08

1)....

I never before tried to understand this verse, but it seems that anyone who has ever conquered the "strong delusion" (the strong delusion is not a future event) in order to have a "more excellent" devotion (1 Corin. 12:31) and walk "BY THE SPIRIT" (Galatians 5:16) instead of faith is definitely destined for the "holy city" and will not be blotted out of the book of life.

There were a few individuals in Sardis who were found worthy to walk with The Lord and received God's promise that they would not be blotted out from THE BOOK OF LIFE.

Once your name is blotted out, can it be written in again? It seems to be a Work in Progress. Your name can be removed at any point. We could lead a good Christian life, relying on Jeus Christ for forgiveness of sins, but not read the Bible and fall into one of the unforgiveable sins, like taking the mark of the beast. It would be too late to repent when we died. Ignorance is a dangerous thing.

This means that if anyone adds to the bible or takes scriptures away for whatever reason, will have their name erased/blotted out from the book of life. So many people do not believe in speaking in tongues, so they may not tear the scriptures out literally, they pretend those scriptures don't exist. And they deny that some things exist. that is the same as saying Christ lied and tongues never happened. When it says God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city, it means just that. He will take him and send him to hell. Every word in the bible means just what it says, you can twist, turn, backwards, God's word is still God's word. That will never change.
---Rebecca_D on 9/5/08

When your borne your name is placed in the book of life.(you have been given life) and it is from this book that your name can be blotted out off. There is another book called the lamb's book of life, which your name is entered into when you receive the Lord Jesus Christ, and from this book(the lamb's book of life) your name can never be erased.
Revelation 13:8
" And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." This takes place at the juncture of the rapture and start of tribulation. People in the lanb's book of life shall be raptured. The rest will worship the Antichrist.

Your names, your lives are in the book of life. All the good! (Wow, were did it go.)
Absolute forgiveness is in the gospel. You have the power to change it. Only you!
Interpreting the gospel for people is one way. I believe he said preach the gospel, not Interpret the gospel. (I hear all kinds of things, not in the gospel.) The HS is the teacher, people dont believe this. They believe they need a man to understand and follow God word!

Man Under God can Stand!

Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Even with this!
God Bless You!

The word "part" as used here means a section, a division, an allotment or share.
Therefore the verse could read, God shall remove the life alloted to him in the book of life, and his share in the division of the Holy city, and from His portion of the promises and rewards that are written in this prophecy.

Well, I believe that if a person has been "joined to the Lord...one spirit with Him" (1 Corinthians 6:17), this has the person in *almighy* union (with God Himself) which cannot be broken. And this union changes the person so he/she can no longer totally reject God (considering Philippians 1:6). But I understand that having "his part" taken out of the Book of Life would mean losing one's salvation. So, I don't understand this. I NOW see > one's name could be written in the Book of Life, but the person hasn't been saved, yet, and cancels this by apostasizing while yet unsaved.
---Bill_bila5659 on 9/5/08

I believe this refers to translators/interpreters of the Bible. Some of them work for Satan, so they mislead many people into possible eternal damnation. I believe their punishment is an eternity in Hell for trying to deceive the People of God. Teachers and pastors may also belong here. They had better make sure they do not intentionally, or unintentionally, mislead people. Though I am sure God will judge whether they actually deserve Hell.
---frances008 on 9/4/08

I believe this person will have no part of the book of life or the holy city. Thus this person will not enter heaven.
