Yes Dr Cluny that's why I post concerning the very same activity based on researching the evidence where the victims claim to be in a sleep like state when the feeling of being apprehended against their own will and feeling that they cannot talk Mmmmmmmmmm science trying to explain demonic activity is more valid than a person who experienced the same activity for years and over came it. Keep reading heresies I'll believe in the name of the messiah Yeshuah and claim healing time and time again
---Carla on 10/5/15|
\\The activity you describe is exactly as you have described however those who think this is the worlds definition of sleep pralasis have not got one shread of experience of demons.\\
I've had experiences with demons and I've had experiences with sleep paralysis (please note the proper spelling).
The two are NOT the same at all.
Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 9/29/15|
As Cluny said it isn't a demon. They don't leave so easily.
Just say Jesus in your mind over and over and you Will wake up.
I had those experiences couple of times and it is VERY SCARY.
BUT JESUS' NAME HAS POWER.
Even your body relaxes when you think of HIS NAME.

The activity you describe is exactly as you have described however those who think this is the worlds definition of sleep pralasis have not got one shread of experience of demons. Demons leave when you acknowledge the Most Highs sons name in hebrew his name in English means nothing to them thats why it is
insffective. I have rebuked them recently in Yeshuah name and they
leave. I used to say in jesus name
and it was a fight to get them to
leave. Hope this helps Xx

\\The same demon visits my dreams. I've never seen this demon but in my dreams it's usually a strong demonic presence in a house and when I try to confront the demon in jesus name, something happens where I can't speak. \\
This is called sleep paralysis.
It's what frequently happens when you are only slightly awake. It's not a demon.
Glory to Jesus Christ!

The same demon visits my dreams. I've never seen this demon but in my dreams it's usually a strong demonic presence in a house and when I try to confront the demon in jesus name, something happens where I can't speak. The demon somehow has the power to block me from calling upon the lord while I'm in my dream. That has caused great stress that usually results in me waking up.

I seriously doubt Chris is around 5 years later still waiting on responses.

---LindaH on 9/11/13|
Know this and remember I told you so.
It is apparent that Dentists use the vulnerability of patients whilst they are asleep, cases have proved with DNA sexual activity, while the patient has been unaware.
It's not rocket science, when you awake you are unaware, easy target for spirits to possess you if you are not spiritually aware, unsaved people have told me they experienced these things and so has Christians, I am a living testimony of both awaking and about to fall asleep, this is evident in the theory of sleep paralysis.
Do your research and stop badgering people with your own disbelief.
---Carla on 9/11/13|
Chris, it was only a dream. Why try to make it more then it is? What do you mean when you say you knew it was domonic activity? What was the demon doing that made you feel there was activity going on? If it is a dream, why take is so serious? Everyone has dreams, at least everyone I know. And not everyone has the same dreams. Do you wear a smoking patch? I hear some times those dreams seem very real. The drug in the patch is very powerful when you are asleep. I have not heard in Scripture where we are told that those under grace have to worry about dreams of demons or what to do about them. I don't believe Jesus called a demon out of someones dream. Maybe it happened but I have read it.
---Mark_V. on 9/11/13|
Its fine that we experience different things according to the spirits that operate in the night or day. I am just pleased that not all people deny their existence but to provide sound scripture for those who experience these things and are able to get help.
I didn't like my experiences, but in them it made me fear no-one or nothing hidden or in darkness. I pray that you get the help you need to rid you of these activities, It takes on-going prayer and fasting, where two or three are gathered Christ is with you. So join a group collectively there is strength...and free yourself soon X
Peace be with you.
---Carla on 9/9/13|
Cluny, I agree with what you said when you said,
"Yes, alcohol and other drugs and even some prescription medicines can interfere with normal sleep." This one brother who use to smoke, starting using the patch, and he said his dreams were so awesome, real and complete and never had any parts missing as most dreams do. He would remember things for days. He said it took three days after he stopped the patch that the dreams started to go back to normal, not complete and he would not remember what he dreamed most of the time, like most people.
---Mark_V. on 9/5/13|
I don't know. I do know demons can take your breath away, and all you can do is WAIT on the Lord. God can strengthen you through them, [demonic influences]. God will not take away everything that's unpleasant in one's life. NO!
---catherine on 9/4/13|
I cannot disagree with Atheist, you can do something with an unbeliever its one who says they are called yet operate in a different spirit is what you cannot work with.
One who confuses the word of God by contradicting believers and the witnesses of many who are saved and experience demonic activity.
Just because it is not your experience, it spells ignorance if you cannot read and see the answers are all the same. The only thing that a liar can do is repeat different stories.
When you tell the truth you don't need to go back, the words will always be the same.
They only thing wrong with the paralysis story is that no one knows why, how or what is doing this?
---Carla on 9/4/13|
Kathy-I have experienced this same demonic issue in the past-IT IS NOT A DREAM!! The name of Jesus will cause this demon to flee but will return, It's purpose is to instill fear and terror. Speak to the demon in the name of Jesus -command its demonic assignment to be broken in Jesus' name and to never return. Command it to go to Jesus for Him to command it where to go. Repent for fear-ask God to replace wherever fear resides in you with His perfect love. Seek Him in all things!!!

I have had this happen to me 4 times now, in the last 2 yrs.Plus many other nites having a feeling of something happening in my throat. First and second time I was just held down in bed, like pressure on my shoulders. The third time 2 weeks ago ,I woke having hard time breathing with a bad dream of a demon like fat man in a bath tub, I was paralysis also till I screamed Jesus name, and it all ended. Last nite I was having a hard time breathing and another Bad dream with Demons ( can't remember that part) But when I scream Jesus name ..I HEARD! the demons on my back, (I sleep on my side,) in bed with me SCREAM a horrifying, growling sound, for several seconds and then it left my bed. This is not just a sleeping problem.

diana, you dont think that jesus is sufficient.
Oh but we who serve the soon coming King know, very few but WE KNOW, who we have believed and we know who we have trusted and we have experienced this fright at night when demons counjoured up by society looking for lost ones( deceased) and having done so left the spirit to wonder too and fro some lost without a resting place to bother the living.
We know that there were a 3rd of heaven that were cast out amongst satan, whom also wonders up and down back and forth, looking for those to devour, possess and confuse with depression and sicknesses. And we Know that ONLY through the name of Jesus that demons HAVE TO FLEE.
Jesus casted them out and we do the same.

I know sleeping and having dreams is hard for Christians to understand, but google the subjects---it may help.
---atheist on 5/24/11|
I think this may be because you have not entrusted much of your living into the Lord Jesus' hand or your dependence level on that name is not strong enough. If most of your decisions are self-made though you believe in Jesus, this may happen.
---Adetunji on 5/23/11|
I've had dreams that are like this too, and if I can get it out, I fumbled a word, and I could feel such a great amount of mockery and laughter from the demons over it.
I think it could be because the demon is trying to stifle us from calling out to Jesus, and perhaps sometimes it could be fear, but my bet is on the first one.

I have had the same experience many times. Sometimes I would be asleep and the demon would wake me up, then I would pray and ask the Lord to help me. At first I thought it may be an angel, like when Daniel fell down afraid, but during a nasty sexual dream I fought it and when I woke up the demon was in the room and I could sense that it was angry. On other occasions I have woke up and could feel the demon kissing me, quite creepy. This happened for a long time until I got advise to rebuke the devil audibly, which I did. I am not sure why this was alowed to happen to me, but it definately makes you have a desire to stay close to the Lord.

I had a dream that i was hiding something behind my back so my mom wouldn't see what it was, and I ended up against the corner of two walls. then two grey corpse-like arms came out of the wall and grabed me, pulling me into the wall. then i was floating in space or something. All around me was the colors red, white and orange and grey specks like stars. the atmospher is hard to discribe. it felt kind of humid but it was neither warm nor cool. It felt weird to breath to, like i had swallowed a bunch of dust. it was like a tickle-scratchy feeling. then, out of nowere was this floating platform with gold tiles and a podium.... I can't for the life of me remember what else there was to it or what i did, but what do you think?

I had those dreams too,it can only come through direct personal involvement with the occult..don't worry, just claim "the blood of Jesus" and "the word of God"..but do look for a Christian who understands these things to help you because confessing, renouncing and dealing with this is best done with help from another Christian..also it helps to get things off your chest which cannot be tackled alone.A good Pastor/church leader is best!God bless!

The dream might mean something, try to write everything down that went on in the dream and pray to God to reveal what it means.
---JoelV. on 12/24/09|
Do not wait again until the incident happens before calling on the Lord. You can pray during the day before you sleep that God should help/make you overcome that evil power if it re-appears while you sleep. Confess anything you can remember that you(family) might have done contrary to God's instruction in the past and ask God for forgiveness. If there is something known but not confessed, Satan will use this against you before God & the Lord Jesus will not intervene when you call. Confession to Christ clears whatever gives Satan right to torment you. If you know that your close-relations have been doing specific-evil things before, you have to dissociate yourself in prayer from all consequences of the actions.
---Adetunji on 12/23/09|
The reason why Jesus' name isn't 'working' is because you are fighting a battle against the spiritual world with flesh. Next time don't only say it with your mouth, say it deep in your belly where your spirit/soul is.

I think that Jesus knows you were trying to call upon him. Like when a parent can "feel" when there is something not quite right happening to his or her child who is elsewhere. This experience you have had, although terrifying, could actually help you to grow spiritually. It sounds like a test. I think Jesus tested you to see if you would humble yourself to call on him in a time of need. You should feel reassured that your first instinct was to call opon God!

I have these dreams too! I yell at them and use the name of Jesus, but they won't go away. It was so bad that I was screaming and whimpering in my sleep. Sometimes I see them. Sometimes, it is like a haunting where I can't see them but feel their presence. I know what they are. In the bible, it says that we have the authority to use Jesus's name against demons. But, it isn't working.

Some dreams are more than just dreams. I had a dream one night about something evil floating at the bottom of my bed. I kept thinking the entire time, "I need to help my children". I stared at her eye to eye but she struggled to move towards me. She finally was able to when I took my eyes off her. I woke up as she came forward. In the morning, I dismissed it as just a dream. Three months later my youngest tells me he saw a woman in our hallway and she just disappeared. He described the exact same thing I saw. Now our home is suddenly haunted.

The point here is not that a man/woman is tempted of the devil because of the lusts but one of whether you believe that dreams are responsible for demons attacking Christians/non Christians during the night.
The blog was posted about demon activity and it expelled into the opinion of others claiming these people have either hidden sins or lusts not known to them which inevitability causing these dreams.
The blog EXPLAINED that these were possibly demonic attacks. NOW is that possible?
I say yes because I have had them and they are not caused by eating at night or any other manner of evil in my life.
Those are separate matters not everything comes into play through Lust/food.

During the Millenial reign of Christ, when Satan is in the pit, and yet there is rebellion in the hearts of men, where are the evil thoughts coming from them?
The scriptures you quoted speaks of the evil thoughts/imaginings of man. It does not say that Satan is the source of those thoughts.
Once sin enetered the world, and man became a sinner, the natural state of man is to think/do evil. Psm 14 and 53, Rom. 3:12
Jer. 17:9, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked..."
James says James 1:14, "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust (internal source - evil human nature), and enticed (external source - things seen, heard, etc)."
---Bruce5656 on 12/19/08|

Bruce5656: "The concept that the mind is "the devil's playground" is wholy unsupported by scripture."
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts. The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. Isaiah 65:2, Jeremiah 18:8,

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things, thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

The mind is a very strange, but very powerful, organ. and it's also Satan's playground. More people today are dreaming than anytime in history. why is that? It's because our brains are deluged with all kinds of information from TV, radio, ipods, computers, etc. Our fives senses also collect thousands of pieces of information every minute.
Have you ever had a feeling that someone tapped you on the shoulder, or maybe heard someone call out your name, or you saw something from the corner of your eye, but when you turned around no one was there? What goes through your head when you hear spooky sounds or music? It's Satan playing with your mind. The same way in dreams.
Pray to God before you go to bed to keep you safe and sound.

Leslie ... "ALL the people that had dreams in the Bible, ALL of the dreams had meaning - NOT one dream did not have meaning. Therefore, the Bible is clear that ALL DREAMS HAVE MEANING"
I humbly suggest that all dreams that are reported in the Bible had meaning, and that is why they were reported.
But that does not mean that all dreams have meaning.
Everyone has dreams ... but not all Bible characters have dreams reported in the Bible. So thye must have had unrepoted dreams, which may or may not have meant something.
---alan_of_UK on 12/15/08|
BRUCE5656 - With these illustrations, you still are VERY DECEIVED. ALL the people that had dreams in the Bible, ALL of the dreams had meaning - NOT one dream did not have meaning. Therefore, the Bible is clear that ALL DREAMS HAVE MEANING, even if it may seem like a nonsense dream to you. By the way, your illustration is NOT even correct according to what the subject is.
---Leslie on 12/15/08|
Just because some people had dreams with meaning does not mean that all dreams have meaning.
That makes about as much sense as someone who happened to have purchased a winning lottery ticket insisting that all tickets are winners. (And no I don't buy lottery tickets this is just an illustration.)
The dreams were noted BECAUSE they had meaning that is instructive to us today. I am sure these people had lots of dreams that were not of any particular meaning.
---BRUCE5656 on 12/12/08|
Some people have dreams every night. Some rarely or never.
Some peoples dreams are brief and vague and some are extreemly detailed. Some people dream in color, some in black and white.
Some people have lucid dreaming during which they can direct the outcome of the dream.
There are nightmares that can be accredited to an upset digistive system as noted below. Before I fully wake up in the morning and my bladder is full and hurting I have the most foolish dreams. If I am just napping I dream brief little snippets of what ever. etc etc.
---BRUCE5656 on 12/12/08|
Bruce5656 - Yes, saying makes it so. Read your Bible, don't just go with the world, like you are doing. Many people in the Bible had dreams (Joseph, Pharaoh, Daniel, King Nebuchadnezzar, Jacob, Virgin Mary, and many more). Out of all of these people ALL of their dreams had meaning. Look it up, and you will see.

Bruce5656 and All others - ALL dreams have meaning (go to John Paul Jackson's website). Dreams where demons attack, are a form of Satanic attack on you (NOT schophrina - how ever you spell it). The unseen world is very real, and has power. Pleading the blood of Jesus over you, your house, and your family is the ONLY thing that will stop demons from attacking (including in dreams).

A little over the top?
"HOW YOU (CHRISTIAN) CAN, AND DO, HAVE DEMONS - EVERYONE HAS DEMONS, NO EXCEPTIONS."
That is not "A little over the top." That is out right lies and heresy.
1 John 5:18, "We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."
1 John 4:4, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
These are only two verses of many that expose this lie for what it is.
---Bruce5656 on 12/9/08|
My comments about the website are not directed at you. Please do not take it personaly.
There were, are and always will be false teaachers. Marking the most dangerous of them is their use (or misuse) of scripture. Why do you think we are told that Satan may come as an "angel of light"? He brings his lies with a covering of truth.
There are demons. Some (unsaved) people need deliverance from demons. But to find demons behind every event and occurance in life is just wrong. It fosters a spirit of fear in weak Christians that do not know better.
1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
---Bruce5656 on 12/9/08|
Here is another quote from the website that is pure lies.
"Know this - EVERYONE has demons, ESPECIALLY CHRISTIANS. There is no Scripture that says this. It is just a matter of FACT. There is no Scripture that says you do NOT have demons. Jesus said the demons are living INSIDE of you, not OUTSIDE. Jesus also said the demons call your body their house . Do you live OUTSIDE of your house? Neither do your demons!"
(Emphasis is theirs)
The one truth in that statement is "There is no Scripture that says this."
I'll take scripture over anybody's word, any day. See the scriptures I noted in the post below.

Jesus while here on Earth cast out demon everywhere he went.We are left with a powerful gift that sometimes we forget to use it. Pray and pray without ceassing. There are demons that come upon you while you sleep, and demons that come upon you while you are awake. Now there is no way of proving this to a person with out you having had this experience.
However When it happens The strange thing is it happens when you least expect it, very ill, depressed, alone, or anxious. it can happen to unsaved and saved people but I guess it may possibly happen to people who are unaware of this type of activity and more often than not think it is a figment of their imagination.
But.... often times it can be the one off or it can be something that happens often. I have read online Dr's call it sleep paralysis hearing demonic voices is called schizophrenia. Get it?

The reason why you can't call on Jesus' name in your dreams is because Satan has a strong-hold on you. Even in your dreams you are giving Satan power over you. The only power Satan has is, what we give him. Don't give him the power to have such a strong-hold on you, because he will use this to his advantage. Example: if a person has sharp pains in their side, Satan realizes what is going off inside their mind, then he uses that to his advantage, making them think they have a kidney stone, gallbladder attack, etc. When it was just a pain, nothing more. But yet we let our mind wonder over the what if's and give Satan the power over our thoughts.
---Rebecca_D on 12/5/08|
Carla: Search for demon busters online? You've got to be kiddin' me? This man having demonic dreams has nothing to do with searching for demon busters. That is so absurd. If a Christian cannot stand on their own two feet against Satan, and have to call for backup everytime they get attacked, that person won't make it til the end with Christ. For Satan will overtake them. For example: My husband is a Police Officer. If he has to call for backup everytime he pulls a car over for whatever reason, he doesn't have a backbone and he won't get a backbone. Satan attacks us by using our mind, he is very cunning anything we have on our mind, he will use that to his advantage. This man doesn't need to call on GhostBusters.

Not every dream has some "meaning". Few do.

He said this is a dream. We are not responsible for the content of our dreams. A dream about "demonic activity" is no more to be taken serious than any other nightmare type dream. Falling, drowning, finding your self naked in public (yikes) etc.

Not every dream has some "meaning". Few do.

These kinds of dreams could be Satan trying to stop what you are called by God to do. Before you go to bed, pray. Plead the blood of Jesus on you, your family, and your house. Then ask God to take control over your mind, heart, soul, thoughts, and dreams. Also ask God to put a ring of fire and His angels around you, your family, and your house. Satan can NOT cross the bloodline.

To Whosoever has an ear to hear?
1Cor.12:3 no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Through the Word of the Lord the Holy Spirit keeps us in remembrance, along our spiritual journey of our Lord & Savior which teaches & guides us to not be conformed to this world.
Any inability on our part, to not adhear to crying out to the Lord (no matter what state of consciousness we are in at the time) reveals the point at which our minds are at in the renewing process of transformation by the Holy Spirit. It also shows us what we need to repent & pray over in our lives.

Google Demon Busters and use the prayers for the Occult and curses don't be alarmed if you hear strange noises as they either get angry or leave, powerful prayers most of which are a little over the top but well worth using it took half hour to read and there were the strange bang or so but it did the job, try to read the prayers when your alone in the house in your bedroom and close the door reading them out with authority and loud turn the music off the song can be very off putting and have a blessed peaceful nights sleep.

Even though you are not able to call upon the name of the Lord verbally, you can think his name, and call on him with your thoughts. It sounds like you are being demonically attacked at night and going through a spiritual battle. Get into the word, and scriptures. Remember, "Greater is He that is in you, then he that is in the world". Pray every night before going to sleep and get into the word, God is there, and he is greater! I will also pray for you.

You are not trusting in God for your full protection from evil spirits (very common).
Many people only claim that they will fully trust The Lord, but they have more trust in the demons to torment them. God never said that Christians will not have trials and face misfortune. How you react to trials is how you learn what The Lord wants you to.
Unbelievers should fear not knowing Jesus, but once we come to know Him , our love for Him should be made perfect...
1 John 4:18
"perfect love casts out fear" (God is NOT a punisher).
Live under perfect law (no other law, James 1:25 and 2:12).
Learn the "depths of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10).
God did all the "works" (John 6:28, 9:3).

You need to give more information, if I were you (well really if you were me LOL) I'd tell you to get the pastor and elders to lay hands on you an anoint you with oil and pray for you.
You should give more details of the dream (as much as you can remember)and someone here might be able to interpret it. Do follow up, I'm sure you can be helped
