The Bible can be compared to food. YOu must read and study the Word of GOD. Start reading Mark and the letters of the New Testament except Revelation. Some letters are only a couple of Paragaraphs. After this read Genesis. Now when you get to the begats skip them. Then Exodus, and Deuteronomy then Psalms. Then Isaiah a very important prophet. After this is up to you. To maintaim get either a one year Bible or a daily scripture guide.

Water is the HOLY SPIRIT which you need to pray for daily. Switch what you listen too by finding Christian music you enjoy.

Prayer is compared to breathing. This does not always mean kneeling but talking to GOD all the time.

Lastly tell others you love JESUS. That is exercize.

"How does a person begin the journey to Christianity after being in the world for a long time?"

Through the Father's faith, that was manifest in you when you acknowledged, confess and embraced the gift of His salvation. Set your course in life yielding to the superimposed confidence of knowing that Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith, and that the good work He has initiated within you, He will bring to completion. To quote a ancient proverb "The journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step". Start walking and trust the Father with each step.

Keep your forgiving up-to-date (o: Keep having hope for yourself, no matter what, and trust God to take you how He wants you to go > for me, personally, this means being quiet and seeing what God does with me, even moment by moment. It's like a movie. You can trust a movie to take you where you do not know where it will go with your emotions and how you see the characters in the movie. So, surely at each moment we can surrender ourselves to God in His love and perfect and pleasant and gentle peace, and see where You take us at each moment, and enjoy You. But we are here to FIRST be pleasing to You.

Everyone on earth has the ability to believe something (faith), but our faith is supposed to be borne out of LOVE for our true heritage (God is LOVE). We are to have a "faith FOR FAITH" (Romans 1:17, Hebrews 11:6). Contrary to popular belief, we should "walk by the SPIRIT" (Galatians 5:16 and 25).

First firmly establish your love for God, not hypocritically seeking the approval of man, nor self servingly to fulfill your own wishes, but sincerely that you may draw near to HIM with genuine humility and that He may draw near to you so that you live what is "good and right and true" (Ephesians 5:9).

Live under the "law of liberty" (James 1:25 and 2:12, Ephesians 2:15).

Ancient Chinese proverb say, "Longest journey begin with first step." Seriously though, if you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then you should desire to get better acquainted with your Lord and Master. To do this, start reading your Bible and praying to the Lord for guidance and understanding. Some will argue this point, but, you need to find a good Bible-preaching church to begin fellowshipping with and other believers who have been in the faith for some time to help you know which way to go. If you have received Jesus Christ, then Praise God and welcome to the family.

1) Repent of all of your sins and accept Jesus in your heart as Lord and Savior.
Find a Spirit filled church that is teaching the Word of God.
2) Ask the Pastor to Baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
3) Get a bible, either New International Version or New American Standard Version and start reading the Gospel of Johh, then Matthew, Mark & Luke, then the rest of the New testament.
4) Find out who you are in Christ Jesus. I am the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. I am a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation, a people for God's own possession.
5) Pray every day. talk to God about what's on your heart. Tell him you want to know Him and He will draw nigh unto you.

It is a turning point in the life of a person. It is an intimate relationship with a Person, Jesus Christ. He was the complete God and Man, while He lived in this earth. So after accepting Him as your savior, who saved you from the Hell and placed you in the Heavenlies, through his suffering and death in the cross, not because of our deeds but ONLY of his abundant Grace. There may be temptations, sufferings, setbacks. But in every situation a Christian has to completely trust in our Lord and God, walk according to His Word. He should not think and worry of this world, but wait for the eternal world to come, where we live forever and ever. Keep that hope and trust, you will be not be dismayed. In all your deeds andthinking, please God not man.
