The substances that make angels have bodily form are unknown .Paul did say of a more enduring substance in heaven.I wonder what heavens element chart looks like ,if there is one?

In the resurrection we will be "as the angels which are in heaven. Neither can [we] die any more (from age or disease is implied): for [we] are equal (physically) unto the angels, and are the children (offsprings) of God. [Even] now are we the sons of God, [but] it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him," We know Jesus died a young man, therefore we can logically 'presume' -as in taking for granted as being true in the absence of proof to the contrary- that we will also appear physically young and vibrant. We are also informed that the body of the resurrection will be incorruptible. Aging is an organic process of a mortal -as one subject to die of natural causes.

God did not author sin.

In truth it was man that brought sin into the world! We as men are to blame for sin!

Ro5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

BryanG: I never suggested any such thing!
Sin is part of "free will" Anyone can choose to sin or not!
Satan "chose" to sin and anyone else who follows/followed him!
God wants those who choose loyalty not one who has no other choice, like a robot!
If you have no other choice but to do good then you're no better than a machine!

So what are you saying, 1st cliff, that Jesus created sin? My God is incapable of sin! The bible tells us that Satan is the father of all lies! Sin didn't originate from the Lord, but from the devil! Satan took what God had and twisted it for evil! God didn't create murder, or adultury, or blasphemy, or anything else that goes against His Word! God doesn't contradict Himself! Sin is the lie! Satan is the father of all lies! Anything that is not of God is from Satan! So, that is why i believe Satan came up with sin! Had it existed before Satan, then Jesus would've destroyed it long before we ever came into the picture!

Bryan, You talk like satan invented sin..he's just the instigator
---1st_cliff on 2/8/09

Jesus came that He might destroy the works of Satan, which is sin. Once we're perfected on the day of the Lord, we will no longer be able to sin. God will not have another Satan!
---Bryan on 2/6/09

John, Where do you get the idea that you will not be "able" to sin?? You think God is taking away your free will??

Even angels sinned and they are higher than man!

"And at that time will Michael stand up, the great prince which stands watch over the children of your people. And many of those who sleep in the ground of dust will awake: some to life everlasting, and some to shame, to horror everlasting. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ will rise first: Then we which are remaining alive will be raptured up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so will we always be with the Lord." Daniel 12:1,2+ I Thessalonians 4:16,17.

Our resurrected bodies will be better than Adam's because Adam's was able to sin and ours will not be.

Mima

1 Cor. 15:43 shares that we're sown a natural body & raised a spiritual body.

1stCliff, you may be right. Who knows for sure. Not a point worth arguing anyway. God bless!

JohnnyB, Adam's body was perfect, what's "better" than perfect?

Man was never meant to live a celestial life.earth is and always will be "home"

"behold I create a... NEW earth"

Because Jesus promised to take a few with Him to "reign as Kings and Priests for 1,000 yrs" every man jack on earth says "hey that's me I'm going..." Well guess what? He's the one doing the "selecting"!

If you don't like a beautiful new earth of Edenic splendor...then tough!

JohnnyB: The immediate "change" with A & E's bodies was spiritual death, i.e., they became INGLORIOUSLY NAKED. No longer perfect beings, physical death gradually overcame them. Before sin A & E would've lived forever because their bodies were incorruptible & imperishable.

Mima: I believe all old & NT believers will be "changed" into His (Jesus') likeness. The Bible shows, after His resurrection, Jesus transcended time & space, i.e., appeared & disappeared, walked thru walls, was physical in appearance, ate natural food, & was pain free. We get just a Bible sneak preview of what the resurrected body is able to do...a vast difference between being a caterpillar (worm) & a butterfly.

Adam's body had to live on earth. It was a physical human body. Nowhere is it written that Adam's body changed in any way after he and Eve at the fruit. It just says that now they will die. So our resurrection body will be more wonderful than Adam's.

Paul has much to say about the resurrection body in 1 Cor 15. From what Paul says, the resurrection body will be physical and incorruptible.
---Bobby3 on 2/5/09

Mima, A perfect one like Adam had!
