"What is the most important thing in the world for you?"

Jesus answered this question for me in His prayer for those who would follow Him, "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
That we, as His disciples "be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of [our] mind, that [we] may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" as He conforms us to the image of His Son, in the midst of a lost, corrupt and evil world.
Jhn 17:15-17>Rom 12:2

steveng, I am not able to receive your falsehood. Jesus is coming back sooner then he originally desired. "And except those days should be shortened, there would no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened." Matthew 24:22. Jesus tells the exact time and what to look for when he comes, and he will come back when the enemy thinks not. You do not understand the simplest basic truths of Scripture, namely, that there is only one God? "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one." I know and am also able to answer every question accurately that you may pose about the content and meanings of Scripture, but you will not accept them until you accept Christ for your only God and one and only Salvation.

Eloy: "steveng, There are not 3 Gods, but only 1, Jesus is the Father."

This must truly be a mystery to you who does not read the bible in it's entirety. There is only one God, yes, but three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. When Jesus said that the Father and I are one, these are concerning attributes. It must really confuse you when Jesus separates himself with the Father like when he said about the second coming that "only my father knows." And also when it is written when "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit" are written in the same sentence.

After all that is written is fulfilled, Jesus will take over all creation. Take over all creation from whom?

.steveng, There are not 3 Gods, but only 1, Jesus is the Father. Jesus says clearly: "I and Father are one. And he that sees me sees him that sent me. He that has seen me has seen the Father, therefore how say you, Show us the Father? Believe me that I in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me because of the very miracles' sake. I am the Alpha and the Omega, Beginning and Ultimate, says the Lord, which from being, and which to being, and which coming, The Almighty. For if you all believe not that I AM, you all will die in your sins." John 10:30+ 12:45+ 14:9,11+ Revelation 1:8+ John 8:24.

Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

God Bless

Eloy: "steveng, "And WITHOUT CONTROVERSY great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH,"

I'm not doubting that God was manifested in the flesh. What I am saying is that God the Father is more important. If it were not so, you would be calling Jesus a liar. Only God the Father know when Jesus will return.

The question says "Most important thing in this world" Jesus is in Heaven- But Our alegiance to Him by following HIS PRECEPTS is what He wants and this is IMHO the most important. Our actions to His will.

To me, it's important that I am in good terms with my wife, family, friends and everyone I deal with.

To do that one has to have Love - Love is the road that leads to Christ so it automatically leads us to heaven.

steveng, "And WITHOUT CONTROVERSY great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, JUSTIFIED IN THE SPIRIT, SEEN OF ANGELS, PREACHED TO THE GENTILES, BELIEVED IN WORLD, ELEVATED UP WITH GLORY." I Timothy 3:16.

Eloy: "Jesus is most important, he is all in all."

On the contrary, God the Father is most important. Jesus taught us how to pray beginning with "Our Father..." He also said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the FATHER except through me." (John 14:6) When we pray to the Father, we pray in Jesus' name because Jesus is the mediator between people and the Father. Did jesus perform all his miracles or did God perform them through Jesus? Jesus said, "...no matter what you ask the Father in my name he might give it to you." Also read: John 4:23-24, Matthew 4,10,

If Jesus was pointing to the Father, isn't the Father the most important?

To pray for the lost and dying world. Many people are dying lost without the Lord. And it seems people just doesn't care. As long as their life is great fooy on the rest of the world. People are fighting over the silliest things, haven't talked to their neighbor because of what happened umteen years ago. And that will cause them to go to hell, no matter how much they go to church. If a person doesn't love their neighbor as thyself, they can't say they have the love of God in their heart/life. It shows when a person has something hidden in their closet and trying to be Christ-like. When a person has compassion toward others and pray for their souls, that is when they can say they are living like Christ.

The most important "thing" to me is my relationship with God through Jesus,my Spiritual walk as a Child of God. That relationship defines all my relationships on this earth because I walk in the Love of God with Jesus. God's love gives me the qualities I exhibit upon this Earth,by sharing that with others,I show the meaning of who I am.

Jesus is most important, he is all in all.

I wonder, how many of you see and understand what Steveng said?

Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Mat 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Most of the posts are of a selfish nature - I, I, I, my, my, my.

The most important things are the two commandments spoken of by Jesus: one, to love your God with all your heart, mind, soul and spirit and, two, to love your neighbors. The most improtant is to love God.

The most important things to me!

You know and trust, the lord is your savior, it is done.

You know and trust in your heart, no matter what you see, hear or think he will not let you die.

You do not confound his word to yourself or others.

You don't point out sins to others, this is up to him.

You are a sinner until he himself tells you otherwise.

You forgive your brothers even if they kill you.

Above all love God, know he loves you.
Amen!

The truth is elusive!
May my lord bless, teach and keep you!

The most important thing in the world to me or anybody should be: receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We can and do accomplish various things in life but if we fail to do this one thing we are doomed for this life and beyond. Living without Christ is a sad way to live. Very damaging and really holds no meaning and purpose.

To keep my eyes on Jesus. Obey Him in everything. To full-fill the call of God on my life. Making Satan unhappy and God happy. Stay in prayer.

Most important thing is praying with someone. In order to leave the I hope so, I'm trying, I'm doing the best I can, mentality behind and come to a realization that the word of God is certain and can certainly be depended upon.
