you are very welcome MarkV!

I just want you to understand that YES! God is in control. YES! God knows all! BUT do you understand that he loves you so much that he will do what he says he will do.
I had to learn and understand that.
As long as what you ask him for lines up with his word, he will do it. You got to trust him in all things.
He says he will take care of you, he will. He says if you believe, he will save your whole household, he will. It might take some time, but he will do it!
---ginger on 4/24/12

Peter, I agree with you
Ginger and Eloy very much. I too thank God for so many things. I also know many are in a worse condition then I. I try never to look at the negative side of life, because God's will, will be done, no matter my will and what I want. As we get older our physical condition gets worse. Some with different problems then others. We thank God for every breath we take. And leave everything to Him who knows all things.
---Mark_V. on 4/24/12

Ginger: 'I have been unemployed since 2010!I still have my home and land,'

Good for you. I know that has been for many, including myself when I've been without a job.

But I do not think we can really take that to be for all. I know some Christians who, while having a job (often with a spouse who doesn't) do actually have trouble with money.

I, like you, are very happy with God for providing for me. But I'm not sure that goes for all
---Peter on 4/20/12

"Mankind does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." And one word is hunger, and another hurt, and another pain, and another suffering. Therefore if we are honest, then many of us must confess to the truth that we have gone without, and we have starved and we have been homeless and we had to beg for bread.
---Eloy on 4/20/12

I have been unemployed since 2010!
I still have my home and land, I have not had to go without food, gas in my car to go places, clothes if needed, I have not wanted for anything these past 2 years! Why?
because God says he will provide for all our needs. And he certainly has for me and my family. No we cannot go out and just spend money on what ever, but God has certainly made sure we have not gone without the basic needs and He has even provided a few luxuries like the internet!
praise God!

Char, the trinity is not of the devil as you claim. It is of God, only those from cults would say such things.
Another thing you twist the passages you gave. (Eze. 33:11) Repentance and forgiveness is given to all who will believe. No matter how much God did for Israel they rejected Him even to this day. The gospel goes out to the world, but not many have faith to believe, that comes from God. For God is the Author and finisher of our faith.
(Eph. 1:7) is speaking to believers, the ones he is talking to. This are those Paul mentions in (Eph. 1:4,5) "Just as He chose "us" (the ones he is talking to) in Him before the foundation of the world" He is not speaking of those others who were not chosen.

//He loves darkness rather then the light.//
Mark, this was you and me and everyone else at one time, then we heard and believed, or didn't believe in some cases.
To the guilty(all are guilty) God is offering "the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Eph. 1:7).
Accept or reject, your choice.
If man isn't free to exercise his will, obviously he can't be charged with disobedience
---michael_e on 4/16/12

Michael e, man is free but his will is not. He is free in regards that no one has a gun to his head. The lost do not believe in Him, the reason he is called an unbeliever. He is not a robot, he moves, and sins. He loves darkness rather then the light. He cannot help himself, that is who he is. Yet no one is holding back, he does what he desires. Jesus said to them "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God" (John 8:42) They don't love Him because they are not of the Father. If they were, they would love Christ. Then He said,
"Why do you not understand My speech? (here is the answer) Because you are not able to listen to My word" They are not able, yet they are free.

To the guilty God is offering "the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Eph. 1:7).

If man isn't free to exercise his will, obviously he can't be charged with disobedience.
If a machine maker presses a button that machine, having no will of its own, obeys its maker's will. If the machine fails, that is his fault. It can't disobey, for it has no will of its own.
If this is man's position, what does God mean by "children of disobedience," and what reason would He have to be angry with man?
Man has free will. He is responsible. He has been disobedient. We can't deny God gave the law "that every mouth may be stopped, and ALL the world may become guilty before God" (Rom. 3:19).

Craig said, "The same reason why we all have put it down. It shows that it is Gods intention to save all men.

Your god is not doing a very good job of saving anyone. He is been defeated left and right every single day all through history by sinful creatures and cannot do anything about it.
The God of the Bible, with a big (G) is Almighty, and when He wants to save someone, He saves them. "He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay His hand" (Dan. 4:35). None, means no one.

---If you were not promoting Universal salvation, what was the purpose for you putting that passage down? --- MarkV

The same reason why we all have put it down. It shows that it is Gods intention to save all men. Yet all men will not be saved. What is the obvious conclusion? Its staring you right in the face. Some men will disobey the gospel presented to them. They will resist the will of God (Romans 10:6)(Hebrews 3).

Char, in your presention of ( 1 Tim. 4:9,10) you seem to be saying God is going to save all men in the world. That's not the case, since many will go to hell (Matt. 25:41,46, Reve. 20:11-15). Yet, the Grk. word translated "especially" must mean that all men enjoy God's salvation in some way like those who believe enjoy His salvation. The simple explanation is that God is the Savior of all men, only in a temporal sense, while of believers in an eternal sense. Pauls point is that while God graciously delivers believers from sin's condemnation and penalty because He was their substitute ( 2 Cor. 5:21) all men experience some earthly benefits from the goodness of God. Paul was not teaching Universal salvation.

The free gift did come upon all men, and it is sufficient to save all men, but only pays the debt they owe to God to those who believe by faith. Not everyone has faith to believe, because not everyone is a child of God, ( His sheep).
"As the Father know Me, even so I know the Father, and "I lay down My life for the sheep" and other sheep I have which are not of this fold, them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice, and there will be one flock and one Shepherd"

If Jesus Christ death on the cross paid for the sins of every single individual, than God is a cruel God for punishing those in hell for something they have been aquitted of. Concerning the wicked, they would love to hear, they don't have to believe in Christ in order to be saved. They can murder all they want, because in the end they will be saved anyway since Christ already paid for their sins, That is just nonsense. Anyone who believes that, could not possibly be saved. Jesus laid down His life for His sheep. And them only. Jesus did not die for all humans. His death was sufficient to save everyone, but His substitution is only for those who will believe, He is the propitation for their sins only. Only their sins have been paid for.

Salvation is by the grace of God through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through his death and shed blood in our place he commended His love and justice to justify mankind. Through resurrection he saves us from eternal damnation and gives hope of redemption and a present salvation. Faith in what Jesus has done on the cross for ALL ensures our salvation today in the dispensation of grace.

There is no Universal salvation. Jesus death is sufficient to save everyone, if they only believed in Christ through faith. Only those known by God from the foundation of the world will be saved, the others God never knew as His.
"Not everyone that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that Day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out demons? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them. (1 of 2) Yes, God provides and through us provides for others. A few years ago a job I was trying for fell through time and again. So I stayed with my old job. At the end of the summer, my co-worker's (a good and faithful woman) back problems worsened. We were able to redesign our jobs so I took the "road" portion of both our jobs and she took the "office" portion which she could do from home. God loves me so much that he punished me. I was homeless for one year to learn my lesson. I tutored in English and only had one student paying me forty dollars a week for two hours. No matter how much I advertised my services, I only had one student. While other tutors in my area had more students than they can handle, God only allowed one student for me to keep me feed and well groomed. If you passed me on the street, you would have never known I was homeless. But during that year, I never blamed God. I always praised him daily.

Exactly one year later, I got an unexpected call from an avionics company to write their manuals - how to operate their products and how to repair them. But I still lead a humbled life.

The manna to feed the people of the Exodus. Just to name a few. there are many ways God can provide (read my next post).

And my God SHALL supply ALL of your needs (not wants) according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus.

Ask and it SHALL be given, seek and you shall find, etc.,

God has been my provider in every area of my life. When I needed strength, He became my strong tower. When I needed money, I asked Him and explained WHY I needed the money, and He provided a nice surprise for me.
He is Jehovah Jirah, the Lord My Provider.

I believe if you are living in the Word of God, obeying it, doing it, speaking it out, loving the Lord with all of your heart, you will reap the benefits of that relationship with God.

Every day, In every breath, heartbeat, thought and movement.

"He is before all things, and by him 'all' things consist." Col 1:17

2 of 2: A few months later, the preacher stops by again to call on the farmer. Lo and behold, it's like a completely different place--the farm house is completely rebuilt and in excellent condition, there are plenty of cattle and other livestock happily munching on feed in well-fenced pens, and the fields are filled with crops planted in neat rows.

"Amazing!" the preacher says. "Look what God and you have accomplished together!"

"Yes, reverend," says the farmer, "but remember what the farm was like when God was working it alone!"

yes- God always gives us what we need--- God may not give us what we want all the time either.
needs and wants are 2 different things.

I tithe with Operation Blessing from the 700 club. I have noticed a huge influx of blessings of the desires of my heart.
God is faithful. Trust in Jesus!

1 of 2: I think this answers the original post:

A farmer purchases an old, run-down, abandoned farm with plans to turn it into a thriving enterprise. The fields are grown over with weeds, the farmhouse is falling apart, and the fences are collapsing all around.

During his first day of work, the town preacher stops by to bless the man's work, saying, "May you and God work together to make this the farm of your dreams!"

Psa 121:1

A Song of degrees.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Psa 121:2
My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

I thoroughly believe and understand where David is coming from.
