God Finds Us Jobs

At church, I was told that God finds us jobs. If that is true, then why do Christians lose theirs jobs? Is it because they are sinning or something?

I know that there are many things that are going on in the world today. God has all things on earth in his hands, and yes, even jobs. Earth has NO sorrow that heaven can not heal. We walk by faith, not by sight and God will not let the wicket prosper! Is God not a keeper of his word? God will see us through. All we have to do is keep his word and put our faith and deeds to work.
Don't let the evil one put an illusion over your eyes. We are not a victom of our circumstances. Keep the faith! Don't tell your self how big the strom is! Tell your storm how big God is! Stay strong and know what gate post your leaning on!

You know the expression, "Guns don't kill people, People kill people"? Well, "God doesn't fire people, People fire people".
A job isn't the work of god or the concern of god. How you *live* and give of yourself while at a job, or unemployeed, is the business of god.

But God intends for us to work and provide for ourselves and our own. In the bible it tells us this. God will provide for us but we must do our part as well. Some people and churches teach so many wrong things and confuse people. This is why we need to know the truth for ourselves.

Maybe because they are lazy and instead of working want to worship God all day. lol j/k

Everyone loses their jobs, not just Christians. Look at Joseph, who was fired because his master thought that he had slept with his wife. He was still in God's favor, even when he was in jail.

Look at it this way, if you get fired from your job, maybe God has something bigger and better in store for you.

Thank you so much my dear friend.Just to start with i thank God for allowing me to contribute to this question. My personal conviction towards this is not that christian loss their jobs because they are sinner but because the devil is against the people of God.
Secondly the devil knows that when christians are working they will stand with the work of God and also support the needy people in the church of christ.
I believe this is one of the major reasons why christians sometimes loss their jobs.

When I was looking for a job in 1991, I stood on the word, "I am the Lord Thy God who teaches you how to profit, who leads you in the way in which you should go."

Then I sent out many many resumes, went on alot of job interviews, even walked around a building seven times and anointed it with oil because it was the job I wanted, but God didn't want me to have that one. Instead, I got a higher position working for the Executive VP, next in line to be President of a multi-million dollar managed care company.

We lose jobs because we are living on earth where nothing is perfect. "Satan prowls about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour." The thief cometh to steal, kill and destroy."

God helps people get jobs he doesn't find people jobs. God helps those who helps themselves. Meaning God won't help a person find a job if they sit on their rump all day long. If they apply themselves and go out and look for a job and ask God to help them find one, then God will indeed help them.

Sometimes that may be the case, but sometimes it happens because of earthly reasons. Sometimes it is because God thinks you would be better off elsewhere. Try asking God why. Wait for His answer.

i think that god does care about us and does provide for us through whatever means He desires to work through. I recently lost my job. Was I sinning? not to my knowledge. I really liked my job too. But for whatever reason, the economy or such, I am without work. it is not easy. I am a middle aged div. woman. God is providing all I need tho. he is wonderful and He said We will never see the Righteous begging for bread.
I am fully trusting Him. No matter what We need he is able and willing to PROVIDE it to us! PLT!

The answer is NO! Unfortunately, bad things happens to Christians as well as unbelievers. Infact, the Bible says that "troubles are pretty much equal our among believers as well as unbelievers". However, if God is on your side, He will help you become victoriously. Unbelievers do not have this assurance. One more thing: Unbelievers only have what's in this life, [and, do I feel sorry for you]! Unbelievers, really do not have a future. Believers, has a future in the Kingdom of God. DON'T GIVE UP, CHRISTIANS, THE BLOOD BOUGHT ONES....Stay close to God, Stay in prayer, if you to want to make it, in this life, and INTO the next life. VERY IMPORTANT. Never put your faith in man. God has spoken.

Let me say that God is not a job provider,or hunter. As your creator his job is to offer salvation thru his son ,and through life change you into as much as possible jesus. Now God will use your job, your talents, your experiences to do this, along with the people around you.But Again he doesn,t provide any specific job for anyone,Other than that of being a believer.with that comes all those jobs listed in scripture.faith,teachers,etc.God dont care if you dig ditches ,or are president.sinners burn and believers go to heaven.

The Bible clearly states that the rain will fall on the just and the unjust. If God finds a Christian one job, he can find them another one. It has nothing to do with sinning. It has all to do with the economy. Although there are times that we lose things that the Lord has given us because we do not use them properly.

Christians lose their jobs, because of three things:(1) God may have them there for a season, or (2) they are not suppost to be there, or (3) to promote them to a higher place. God does provide jobs for people. I have been praying lately for God to take me out of every place He does not want me in, and plant me in every place He wants me in. I have also been praying before and after every job interview I get, that God would show me if He wants me there or not - if He wants me there, to give me the job, if He doesn't want me there to take away the opportunity for the job. This way, I can know that I am always in God's perfect will for my life.

God finds us jobs?

Tell that to the millions of Christians in undeveloped countries living in garbage slums. Millions do not even have clean water to drink let alone a source of income.

This concept of God providing all the money we need doesn't play very well in Ethiopia, Somalia, Congo etc. Yet these are people that are full of the joy of the Lord (are you listening Eloy?) and happy as can be.

Most of the time, we need a change and the only way we will move is if we loose something important to us. But, with every ending there is a new beginning. The secret is just trust in God, He knows what is going on with us and sees beyond our space in time. So let Him be God and rejoice in all things.

It's true that God finds us jobs ... things to do for Him

God has given me many jobs, for God and for people. None of them are paid.

I am very confident that the maker of the Universe is qualified enough to find me a job. By the same token, I am also very confident that he can take that job away just as easily. Why and when he decides to perform either function is a mystery to me. All I can do is try my best at either my job or my interview, God will take care of the rest.
