to be homest I could care less, and that applies to the ark of the covenant,or any other thing.I found jesus christ 35 years ago,and I have no interest,or need of anything else.

Looks like some folks just like to "anti" comment to get a rise out of others. Reminds me of elementary school....the less you react to the taunters the less interested they become in messing with you to get a rise.

I thank the lord so much for the peace he allows to reside in my heart and mind. May the good lord have mercy on ALL of us!

Gabby: Yes and no. Yes, the original Ark of the Covenant is in heaven - where it's always been. The one on earth was a copy. Moses directed its construction as per the vision given him. It was hidden (some say by Jeremiah) before the Babylonian invasion of Jerusalem. It has yet to be revealed.

Well said Amazed.

We know there are AntiChristians active on this website, and also those who pick and choose what sections of Scripture they are prepared to believe. They are luke-warm and of them Jesus says 'So because you are luke-warm -neither hot not cold- I am about to spit you out of my mouth', Rev. 3:16.

"It also reminds me of the PBS program that definitely proves? that the 10 plagues of Egypt were natural disasters."

You really do not believe the Bible do you? Why are you here?

Mat 15:9
But in vain they do worship me,
teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mat 12:33
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good,
or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt:
for the tree is known by his fruit.

Stop mixing the Word of God with man's words.
Choose who you will serve ! Rev 3:16

Just imagine the 10 plagues of Egypt were natural disasters and Moses accurately predicted them all, and in the right order.

I wonder what the statistical chance of that happening accidentally is? None?

I wonder how a natural disaster brought about the death of the first born son in every family, down to the first born of cattle?

Were PBS eye-witnesses or are they maybe somewhat antiBiblical?

The Ark of Noah was found years ago by (now deceased) Ron Wyatt. Google him.

Anything PBS produces will have a decidedly anti-God slant.

Rebecca:

Thank you. The point of this thread is silly.

What you said reminded me of the parable Jesus taught about Lazarus and the rich man. At the end Jesus finally told the rich man "if they did not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they are not going to be persuaded even by someone who comes back from the dead.". The same is true about the Ark. It also reminds me of the PBS program that definitely proves that the 10 plagues of Egypt were natural disasters.

What difference would it make if one did find some of the remains? People would still not believe it if they actually found some pieces of the Ark. People are always looking for tangible evidence that God exists. If they only knew that faith can't be found in pieces of wood or money, etc. If one doesn't have faith that God exists then they simply won't believe or can't believe. If I had a piece of the Ark in my possession it wouldn't make me any closer to God or to heaven.

That's my point--there are SEVERAL whos and whens. Only one where.
---katavasia on 4/29/09

Saying it is so does not make it so.

Who - specifically?
When - specifically?
Where - specifically?

"Common knowledge" means nothing when it come to such things. Look at the things that are being said on the Are You Afraid of the End Times blog. Things that are presented as fact but are patently ridiculous.

Lots of people believe that there was a UFO coverup at area 52. "Everybody knows that." they say. Well, no they don't.

Actually, Bruce, it was old news bEFORE the TV show about the Ark.

But if our faith is based on historical facts (as we believe), should it surprise us that there could be physical traces of the events of the Bible?

Many people have seen what they believe to be Noah's ark on an inaccesible peak of Ararat.

That's my point--there are SEVERAL whos and whens. Only one where.

Personal opinion, based only on logic and not the Bible, (since it doesn't state anything on this issue), nor science. It would seem to me that if I was on a ship for a long period of time, and when I did arrieve on land it was water logged and no dry wood to be found. Therfore, I would burn the wood that the ship was made of since it would be dryer than the wood on land. Bottom line: no ship to be found. (Assumming they burned it all.)

Katavasia,
"This is old news. There have been several TV shows on the subject."

As there have been shows about the Shroud of Turin, the Holy Grail, the Ark of the covenant, Alien autopsy, Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, Nostradamus, etc. etc. etc.

TV is "info-tainment" with a smattering of truth tossed in. Even news broadcasts are heavily biased (or John Stewart would be out of business) and designed to sensationalize (if it bleeds it leads.)

Just because it is "on TV" means little these days.

If you are going to make a case for the discovery of the Ark, you should be able to say who found it, when they found it and exactly where it lies.
---Bruce5656 on 4/29/09

The Arch CANEVER BE FOUND, because Noach and his children used the wood for houses firewood bedds etc. nobody ever imagined how the world looked like after the flood. it took some time before creation regenerated into its original shape. when No ghot drunk on the new vine it must have been Years since the flood. put these questions where did No find fire wood on the mountain ararat. right after the flood, how many usuable trees will be left?

** According to Archologists, Noah's Ark has already been discovered.

Realy?

Where?
When?
By whom? **

The traditional location on a peak in the range of Ararat in Armenia has been known for centuries.

Satellite pictures exist of a large artifact, apparently a seagoing vessel, in the ice on the top.

This is old news. There have been several TV shows on the subject.

Will the Garden of Eden be found -- will the Ark of the Covenant be found -- will Noah's Ark be found, etc.? Perhaps, somewhere over the rainbow. Tell your friend it's best to seek God's Truth & don't be overly concerned about anything else.

Mima, I believe the Bible. I read it everyday and I am a believer. But I don't take it all literally. Moreover, the Bible itself does not require that we take it all literally. God bless.

The discovery of Noah's Ark will only strenghthen the believer and distance the unbeliever, it will most likely change very few minds. When the seas start to boil and the mountains bow down, then you will see a few converts.

This statement by JohnnyB,

Noah's Ark has already been found. You won't hear about it on the news, because then all the atheists would have to admit that they are wrong.

There's already enough evidence about where it is to say that something resembling Noah's ark has been found.

But whether it really is or is not makes no difference to my faith.

What does it actually matter, mima? Can you tell us that?
