There are a lot of people in this world who have gifts from god... There are people who confuse these people with being evil, however some are god loving people who god chose to have these gifts... It is documented that during the Salem witch trials a lot of people were falsely accused... The witch propaganda has out done its self.. Yes there are bad witches so to speak, who practice black magic.. There are also good christian people with gifts and are targeted.. People who have dreams that come true are called witches so to speak.. Just because you do not understand something completely does not give the right to label.

laura: "I don't doubt that many people practice certain forms of witchcraft, but I don't believe that the hocus pocus / voodoo doll witches are out there."

They are as real as the sun rises in the east. Voodoo is as real as Satan himself. Maybe far and few between in civilized countries, but in other countries they are abundant - more openly in the West Indies and Louisiana, USA. Most of the time the victims believe in the curse so much that they bring the curse upon themselves. But sometimes, Satan does have his hands in it.

I am more concerned if there are any real Christians in the world. Witches will go to hell if they do not repent. And fake Christians will be right there with them.
---Exzucuh on 11/30/09

I don't doubt that many people practice certain forms of witchcraft, but I don't believe that the hocus pocus / voodoo doll witches are out there. I liked how Arthur Miller put it when he was writing the Crucible. He said that he didn't doubt that people were practicing witchcraft, but by no means did he believe that people were putting pins into dolls to stab other townspeople with them.

katavasia: "It seems that the only way fanny would know so much about if witches were real, or the illuminati, or conspiracy, would be if she were involved up to the neck in such nasty things herself."

Another way is if she had a revelation from God about such matters. But knowing frances as I do, she is paranoid by reading all this stuff and believes in all she reads being wise in her own eyes. She also puts herself on a pedestal thinking she knows things most others don't. What she doesn't know is that she is part of the conspiracy because she is spreading rumors.

But knowing such things is not necessary and knowing prophecy is that christians are only to be aware that they are being fulfilled - even today.
---Steveng on 11/25/09

katavasia,

You are a very judgmental person. Nasty is a very good adjective to describe your attitude. Why are you so rude? Do you hate yourself?

This is the World Wide Christian Network, ChristiaNet.. Do you claim to be a christian? If so, You are surely not following the concept of "lead by example" or the infamous "Do unto others as you would have then do unto you".. You get my point.. If others of us are going to hell for our beliefs, I feel postive we will see you there.

Of course! The enemy counterfeits all of God's gifts and moves through people to do his work just as God does.

a witch is simply a pagan priestess (high priestess) ...paganism is term used to describe all religions outside of Holy Word of God ...typically worship of anything other than God ...like earth or general "spirituality" ....God HATES all heathen practices these are traditions of men

...some claim they are "good witches" doing good things for themselves and world ...others align with occult practices and satanic rituals

either way a "christian witch" is not a possibility ...if one practices this heathen "religion" then coming into Gods Truth they would understand through Gods Word and repent from this man made religion
---Rhonda on 5/9/09

Interestingly, King Saul was also paranoid & in his rebellion against God turned to witchcraft.

King Solomon was absolutely right. There is nothing new under the sun then & now (today).

Yes, the world is full of witches!

**Katty, the reason I know about the illuminati is because GOD revealed it to me on a specific date in 2004, while I was ironning and watching the CNN news.**

fanny, the reason I believe you are paranoid is that God revealed it to me the first time I read one of your postings.
---katavasia on 5/8/09

LOL......Now I get it! Katty is katavasia! That is so hilarious. Anyone else wondering why someone who calls themselves a Christian does not realize that movies are not real. They are pretend!

Betty, thanks for your support. Katty, the reason I know about the illuminati is because GOD revealed it to me on a specific date in 2004, while I was ironning and watching the CNN news. I can understand why Katty thinks I must be a member, this is because all the information is extremely well covered up in disinformation like Hollywood's Da Vinci Code and the new one Angels and Demons. However many hundreds if not thousands have had their eyes opened and no doubt have had their views censored from websites. But God's Holy Spirit of Truth is waking people up en masse and now the illuminati are in a panic that they won't achieve their 90 per cent cut in population by the date they had in mind.

I know that witches are real because I have met one on many occasions. Her "religion" and her temple have been well publicized in the Las Vegas newspaper. Just do a search for "Wicca" of that paper and you will see how real she is. Her "assistant" who went into the prison services with her is an educator in one of the colleges there.
---SusieB on 5/7/09

**Find out. Prove it all wrong if you can, katty.**

Who is katty?

Oh, well. Birds of a feather ...
---katavasia on 5/7/09

katavasia- Who is fanny? Do you mean Frances? If so, why don't you just call her Frances? (4-30-09) katavasia, you're being vicious to say the only way people know about those things is to be involved in them themselves. You probably believe the world is round, but have you proven it? Witches are real. Don't find out the hard way. Do not sin and they cannot harm you. Demons are the power behind witchcraft. The Illuminati is real, and its agenda is real. Find out. Prove it all wrong if you can, katty.

** katvasia: According to two different dictionaries I referenced ater reading your comment indicates you are wrong.**

Dictionaries by and large these days are DESCRIPTIVE, rather than perscriptive, and tell how a word actually gets used, even if its a solecism.

katvasia: According to two different dictionaries I referenced ater reading your comment indicates you are wrong. And even if I didn't reference the dictionaries, I have to reach the same conclusion, that you are wrong regardless of what you friend may say. (It's really not that important when you evaluated the seriouness of the question.) He told me he had been a warlock, and that is the end of it for me. Your friend says there is no usage of that term, so that ends it for you.

**A few years ago, a North American gentleman from NY, came as a summer missionary to our mission. He was a Christian, but had been a warlock before that. (A warlock is a male witch.) He stated that Satan can lead a person to do things just like the Lord can lead us. He could look into the eyes of a person and tell if they were "closet" witches or warlocks. He further stated that our preconceived ideas of witches keeps the Christian from recognizing them.**

Someone I know who was into sorcery and such but repented said that NOBODY in the craft uses the term 'warlock'.

"Yes", to give you a bottom line answer, witches do exist today - we just don't recognize them. A few years ago, a North American gentleman from NY, came as a summer missionary to our mission. I've come to the conclusion that frances008 is actually an operative of the masonic-witchcraft-illuminati conspiracy.

She says so many outlandish things about it that nobody will believe that such really exists.

That's her mission--to confuse and spread disinformation and hide their true workings.

Can she disprove this?

**Actually, the divorce rate today is higher than when "Cinderella" was created.**

Don't forget that Cinderalla is a tale going back to the ancient Egyptians.

It was the subject of an opera by G. Rossini: La Cenerentola.

Be careful of modern fairy tales because they changed the rules. Suddenly practicing magic became okay, even good, and encourage children to look into the occult crafts. The old fairy stories are great. In fact I think fairy stories help you to accept the possibility of God. After all if magic is possible, who can outdo God with his miracles? A training in the fact that sometimes rules of nature can be broken, and people can turn into monsters or princes before your eyes, seem a necessary step in the acceptance of spiritual realms that we cannot see, but do exist.

Two movies that I liked were "Cinderella" and "Wizard Of Oz". While these movies were good to watch as a young kid, I learned that adult life doesn't work like that. These are movies with witchcraft.

Many girls grow up with the idea that they are going to be "Cinderella" and find a Prince Charming who comes to rescue them. Actually, the divorce rate today is higher than when "Cinderella" was created.

"Wizard Of Oz" is clearly where a MAN is trying to play GOD. Not good.

**Fairy tales can teach us a lot about the world. It was a sad day when television took over that story-telling role, because all you get from television is deception.**

And fairy tales NEVER contain deception, do they?

Maybe fanny gets her information from modern fairy tales. As we all know, everything on the internet and in print is always 100% true.
---katavasia on 5/1/09

I did not see Wizard of Oz until I was an adult as it was always shown on Sunday nights and I was in church.

Katavasia speaks total hogwash. Fairy tales can teach us a lot about the world. It was a sad day when television took over that story-telling role, because all you get from television is deception. Fairy tales tell us so many truths about the world. Children learn to be wary of evil, through fairy tales. As for fairy tales being used by Kat to persuade you (psychology trick) that witches are not real, I know first hand that witches are real. I found out before the invention of the internet. But the internet will easily show you that witches exist. Last night I found an on-line invitation to a course on witchcraft near Portsmouth for 2009 costing 400 pounds. You can do it through correspondence if you cannot get there!!!
---frances008 on 4/29/09

When I was a child and first saw Wizard of Oz, Glinda was obviously really a fairy, and I knew that fairies were a subset of angels.

I read all sorts of such stories and tall tales as a child, and I knew that they had NOTHING to do with reality and did not affect my faith in Jesus at all.

Even scary vampire movies (at least at the time) taught the power of Christ Crucified over evil.
---katavasia on 4/29/09

Do you remember the movie the Wizard of Oz? Why does the world commend movies like this and they win Oscar's for these evil movies? Is it really because the light shined into the world and the world loved darkness more than light?

I think there are people who believe they are witches and believe they hold special power, but they are demonic people being totally driven by evil spirits.

People who have insecurity issues, sometimes need or want an identity, so they call themselves something. A witch is one of them. Wiccan is another.

So yes there are witches today, but it's satanic and stay away from them.

Continuing on the wicca witch at the prison. After my husband witnessed to her, she complained to the Chaplain. Chaplain spoke to my husband about it and said he should not do it as it was a violation of her religious freedom. Chaplain was a "oneness" minister who had revivals at that prison which only included "oneness" preachers. Shortly after this happened, the state took control of the prison which was privately ran, but buildings were owned by the state. Chaplain was transferred to another facility in another state. Praise the Lord!

** Yes, definitely. They are both local, in your community, and running things in governments, the legal services, police, church etc. ... They use mathematics, but a special (mysterious) type of maths, so that nobody understands it. **

I don't know how how fanny knows so much about the inner workings of witchcraft, but this verse came to mind:

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

If you see any witches, just ignore them. They have no power over you that you don't give them.
---JohnnyB on 4/27/09

Yes, definitely. They are both local, in your community, and running things in governments, the legal services, police, church etc. They are Satan worshippers Some claim to be white witches and will say nice things about Jesus. The Bible condemns all forms of the 'craft'. Freemasonry is part of the Satan Worshipping community.

Because we associate witchcraft with herbal medicine, we are misinformed, it is more to do with high level misinformation concerning 'science', pharmaceuticals, food technology, and almost everything else. They use mathematics, but a special (mysterious) type of maths, so that nobody understands it.

Herbalists are just herbalists.

There are most definantly witches today. Some of them are involved with Wicca, a sect of Satanism. They will say that they do not worship Satan, but they do. All of them do belong to a sect of Satanism, and worship Satan.

No doubt if you can imagine it someone is doing it somewhere. Whether that be witchcraft or any thing else.

The human condition aside from God:

Romans 1:28-32, "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient, Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:"
---Bruce5656 on 4/27/09

Yes.

The "devil" will use every channel possible to hinder our working for the Lord. This might even include our Christian friends, colleagues, family members, etc.

I am very wary, or cautious, about people who claim to "know all the answers". Psychologists, even in the Christian churches, can be one of those groups of people that I am watchful about.

Think about all the times that our attention has been turned away from doing the Lord's work because so-and-so said something about this-and-that. Gossip? Back-biting? Lies?
---Auegie on 4/27/09

We have encountered the "head witch" for the Wicca group as we entered a women's prison on many occasions. She wears a dress with occult figures all over it, covered with a cloak. When my husband witnessed to her about the saving grace of Jesus Christ and said she needed to get born again, she opened her cloak to "flash" her pentagram at him. The program materials are in the chapel closet. She would wait until our service had started to bring a couple of the inmates in to get their supplies. My husband continued his preaching, emphasing hell for false prophets. They stopped disrupting our service after they realized he was going to continue preaching.
---SusieB on 4/27/09

What do you mean by this question?

If you mean, "Are there practicioners of wicca, santera, sorcery, satanism, or similar religions?" the answer is yes.

If you mean, "Are there people who have powers to cast spells that make themselves invisible, fly through the air, or have other supernatural powers?" then the answer is no, but doubtless there are deluded people who think they can do so.
