I hear that the Israelis have begun evicting Palestinians from Jerusalem.

Sounds like Europe in the Thirties

You want just ONE sign?

We've always had solar flares... also climate variations. Wickedness has always seemed to increase. The same with deception. Name a time when people were were not deceived by false teachers, false messiahs. We've had wars and rumors of wars for hundreds of years.

But now the Gospel has spread to virtually every inhabited area by way of radio and Bible translations. We now have a ten nation union and the real probability of a one world government (as in the tribulation)

The rebirth of Israel in 1948 and world-wide opposition to Israel that we see today, sets the stage for prophesy fulfillment. There is even a movement to re-build the temple in Jerusalem.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears,

Donna, Pat Robertson says at least two wacky things a year. People were convinced that when Hitler, an antichrist, marched across Europe into North Africa and was burning Jews it was the end, others said the same thing after Israel was reconstituted in 1948, and those of us old enough to remember thought nothing could be worse than 1968. Ask your folks.
The truth is we've been in the last days since Pentecost but our best clue is the Temple. When it begins to be restored for the third time its not the end but the beginning of the end. The fact that next to Mecca, Islam's most holy site sits atop Solomon's Temple in an absurd act of defiance, proves rebuilding will not completed without great violence.

The Bible says that one sign of the end times is deception. People would say they are Christ, or of God, and be decieving others. There would be doctrines of demons and damnible (if you listen would damn your soul to Hell) doctrines preached. There would be people claiming Christ (to be Christians) in the church, but would be of the devil (non-Christians, angels of light, wolves in sheeps clothing, and tares in the wheat). We are seeing lots of deception today. This is why it is so important to ask God to open our spiritual eyes and give us the gift of decernment of spirits, so we will not be decieved.

Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree, When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: The fig tree is represented by nation Israel. May 1948 Israel becomes nation again this is the meaning of "putteth forth leaves" 1948. Mark 13: 14 "....flee to the mountains" this means that God commanded us to leave our church bec church become babylon at our time. The worship of beast in Rev. 13:6 means satan inside the church 2 Thes. 2:3-4

As we see Israel being pushed around by the United States and her neighbors(all of whom are determined to have a two state solution to the Palestinian situation) we realized that the bottle of grace of dispensation is about to run out. The time of the Gentiles is fast coming to a close. Any and all actions designed against the state of Israel are definite signs of the end of time as we know it. Many are totally ignorant of the significance of Israel in God's plan for mankind. Some even believe that God has given the present-day church (sic) Israel's place on the clock of time.

Cesar: "According to Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6, one day equals one year when talking about prophecy."

You are confusing the simile of "one day is like a thousand years" pertaining to God's concept of time. You don't believe that God is a chicken, do you? The two verse you wrote are completey different in meaning.

It always seemed somewhat far fetched that the world would end exactly the as we understand Revelation (will ANY "sign" show as we think it will?, Matthew 12:39, Luke 11:30).

"but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah".

Solar flares seem to be a threat to ALL LIFE, global cooling also (the "maunder minimum" is also called "Little Ice Age"). The oceans are getting more acidic and supply only 10% of the fish for market than they used to (polluted).

Swine flu and many other diseases (dengue fever, MRSA, etc.) will likely spread and kill large parts of the global population.

No one knows the exact time of the end, but it looks pretty bad right now.

StevenG: I believe that all erosion of mankind can be traced back to the original sin in the garden. However, I do concede that mankind will notice a escalation of events and if that is what we wish to call the end times then I have no problem with that definition.

TIMOTHY: "When sin entered the world in the garden, man has always lived in the end times."

Since the fall of Adam and Eve, there have always been wars and rumors of wars, pestilance, and earthquakes, but the major difference between the past and the endtimes is the frequency of these happenings. The end times will be like no other time in history after Noah where all the wars, pestilance, and earthquakes will be rolled up into just a few short years.

The 2300 days in Daniel chapter 8 is referring to the amount of time that the small horn would trample the host and desolate the holy place. The small horn in chapter 8 is not the same as the little horn in chapter 7. The small horn in chapter 8 is Antiochus and the little horn in chapter 7 is the AntiChrist. The reign of terror that Antiochus caused would last 2300 days. You must not look only at the time that the temple was desolated, but the verse also says the "host". This host is the people, the army, the defenses.

According to Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6, one day equals one year when talking about prophecy. The book of Daniel has the 2300 day prophecy, and it's important to understand the symbols. For the sake of space, I'm going to tell you that Babylon is represented by gold and the lion, Medo-Persia is the silver, the bear and the ram, Greece is bronze, the leopard, the goat and the king of North, Rome is iron and the beast with horns (Don't take my word for it, go and study/research yourself) The 2300 days shows that we are in the end times, but it's quite extensive so I can't say it here.

There are many signs but the most prominent one is the formation of the nation of Israel and the regathering of the people from many nations to that land. Old Testament prophets predicted this event during the latter times or before the "day of the Lord".

The statement Jesus made in Matthew 24:34 clearly tells us that the signs he had just described are the very last days. These signs will be the signs of the LAST generation.

At Pentecost, in Acts 2, St. Peter quoted the prophecy of Joel, saying, "This is that which was spoke of by the prophet: In the last days I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh..."

In other words, we've been in the last days since Pentecost.

When sin entered the world in the garden, man has always lived in the end times.
---TIMOTHY on 5/7/09

You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, there shall be fammines and earthquakes, but this is just the beginning of the birthpangs. It will be as in the days of Noah where they will be eating and drinking and marrying - there are MANY signs, not just one that tell us we are in the beginning of the birthpangs of the end times.

Pat Robertson said that if Israel gets divided into two nations, which is what the Palestines are heading towards, and if the United States agrees with this, then the wrath of God will be poured out upon the whole earth and I see that day coming soon, alot sooner than we think.
