Is Lifestyle Salvation Biblical

Many believe in lifestyle salvation. When asked if they're going to heaven they will say, well I hope so, well I'm trying, I'm living the best I know how, and on and on and on. I believe people who believe that salvation will be granted because their lifestyle are depending on works! Do you agree?

To Whosoever Has An Ear To Hear?

When we 'Sincerely Repent', we're vowing to denied the will of our flesh to Joyously Live in His Will, this is done . If later we're living in sin & rejecting the Spirit, then we didn't Sincerely denied our free will in our initial Repentance : and Jesus ONLY Saves Sincere Repenter & is not deceived.

Just as "We're only able to Love God because He First Loved us", we obediently persist til the end because the Lord's Obedience unto Death Lives in us.

God Judges us according to our will & only when we've sincerely denied it, will His Grace Draws us into Saving Faith in Christ. It's why the Lord said, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have Chosen you" John 15:16.

God's grace doesn't mean it's a 'free ticket' to heaven.

The Bible says:

1. Through following Jesus, and through obedience to the Holy Spirit, we must persist in doing good so He'll give us eternal life. (Rom 2:7) This is GOD working (through us.)

2. We must deny the flesh and instead sow to the Spirit to reap eternal life. Gal6:8,9) (to 'reap' means to eventually gain eternal life IF we remain faithful in following/abiding/obeying Him.)

3. We must endure in Him to the end on the strait and narrow. (Lk.13:24) God's Spirit remains with those who remain in His Spirit. If we choose to sin and not repent, we again are separated rom God until we earnestly repent. If we choose to abide in the Lord he continuously guides us.

Salvation IS a lifestyle.

Salvation is when GOD is doing HIS WORK in OUR LIVES.

It is NOT US doing the work, it is GOD doing HIS work THROUGH us.

Salvation means living in the Spirit and NOT living in the flesh.

Salvation is a day to day experience as we take up our cross each day and let GOD do HIS works in our lives. We deny the flesh/our will and joyously live in His will.

If you are not living to please the Spirit, but are living to please the flesh then you are not abiding in the Lord and need to be saved.

We will REAP eternal life if we SOW to please the SPIRIT. (Gal.6:8,9)

To REAP eternal life means to eventually gain eternal life IF we remain faithful in following/obeying Him.

Matthew 16:19: "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
How can anything be bound on heaven from the earthly that is not Godly? Are we not commanded to live according to God's will? What is his will?
Matthew 16:26-27: "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works."
"Follow me" is with our feet and everything above them?

Yes, of course, they are depending on works. They don't know anything else to depend on!

Most of the world sees God as sort of a divine score-keeper, forever weighing the good against the bad. They can't comprehend the absolute horror of sin. And they have no understanding of redemption through divine Grace. That is why they need the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

HOW DO WE GET TO HEAVEN:

1. By grace, not works (Eph 2:8,9) We don't deserve heaven. It's a miraculous free gift since Jesus died for us rotten sinners.

2. Sincerely ask God in prayer to have mercy on you a sinner (Lk 18:13). Sincere repentance means we'll truly forsake all sin. Jesus ONLY saves those who SINCERELY repent.

3. Deny yourself, take up your cross daily counting your suffering joy as you follow/obey Him (Lk 9:23)

4. God's grace is not a 'free ticket' to heaven. The Bible says:

-We must PERSIST in doing good so He'll give us eternal life. (Rom 2:7)

-We must sow to please the Spirit to REAP eternal life. (Gal 6:8,9)

-We must endure in Him to the end on the strait and narrow. (Lk 13:24)

2)To Whosoever Has An Ear To Hear?

The Body of Christ is a 'Great Team' who humbly & harmoniously works together for Christ sake to Edify the Brethren.

The will of God's Children is that 'His Will Be Done' AMEN. Salvation isn't a 'Reward' but a 'Inheritance' : God's Free Gift to 'Whosoever Ask'(James 4:1-3) to be Born-Again, into the Obedience Unto Death of Christ.

Now shall we sin, being Saved under Grace, God forbid!(Rom.6:15-22) We no longer put our Trust in man made teachings, no matter how nefariously wise, serious or sound it appears. God nor His Elect shall be deceived, because we have a relationship with His indwelling Spirit who Guides, Teaches & keep us in Remembrance of the Truth we're Sealed unto in Christ.

I come from the saved by Grace camp however a man shall be known by his fruit as well. If there is no fruit then you most likely never had his Grace. Works will not save you, but they are certainly a great measuring stick of Grace.

1)To Whosoever Has An Ear To Hear?

We're able to Love God because He First Loved us and it's only through being Drawn by God's Love into the Charity of Loving our Lord, God with all our Heart, Soul & Mind, that we're able to 'Endure'(persevere) all things :FOR Charity never faileth!!

Do not be deceived, it's not of your own strength but the 'Passion of Christ' which has persevered unto Salvation. All Glory goes to God for supplying all the needs of the Chosen Elect through His Riches & Glory in Christ Jesus : Whose strength is made perfect in God's Children's weakness, enabling us to do all things, 'Persevering' in His Obedience Unto Death. (2Cor.12:9-10)

"(John 14:2 1). Never in the Old Testament, the Gospels or the Epistles does God own anyone as a lover of Him except the one who keeps His commandments. Love is something more than sentiment or emotion, it is a principle of action, and it expresses itself in something more than honeyed expressions, namely, by deeds which please the object loved. "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments" (I John 5:3). Oh, my reader, you are deceiving yourself if you think you love God and yet have no deep desire and make no real effort to walk obediently before Him."

mima, iam not sure that most believers feel helpless and literally caught by the society we find ourselves living in.So entrenched in life today are jobs, ecoconomy, money, entertainment, the feeling that a person cant live without being of the world. This deception has taken over, and is responsible for the sunday christian who lives like the devil the other 6 days of the week,or actually begins right after they leave sunday service.

"What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?" (James 2:14) I'd say I must see, here, that if I do not "have works" that God means, here, then faith can not save me. But this means what *God* means, not what wrong humans mean. So, should we hope and try? > Paul says, "Examine yourselves, as to whether you are in the faith," in 2 Corinthians 13:5. So, we are not to try and hope, but *examine*. I'd say, examine about this > "Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4:17) Our assurance is in being perfected in love.

Yes, I believe in lifestyle salvation. However, doing good things, or works, is only part of the story.

In order to be "saved", you need to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins. You will want to serve him as much as possible. That is where the lifestyle salvation comes into play. You will be living for Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior, and want to serve him will ALL of your life.
