Eric, first, please know that no offense, nor any attempt to undermine your belief is intended in this inquiry, I am simply curious. If you view "God" as an impersonal deity, which primarily defines a Spinozist, how do you establish a personal relationship with Him/"it"? Or is this of any importance to you in your concept?
---Josef on 6/29/09

Anne, please read the article on Spinoza on the Wikipedia. It represents his views well. Thanks.
---eric1968 on 6/23/09

Eric~ Thanks, and could your please expand on your Snipozist beliefs.
---Anne on 6/23/09

Anne, no, I am a Spinozist.

Romans 8:16-17 "The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.".

You will know. No questions about it. If you do not have surety, ask God for true salvation and surety.

eric~ Are you an atheist? Just curious...I've read several of your answers and you seem to have no great enthusiasm for the Lord, the Bible etc. Perhaps you love God, but it's the 'Christians' you ponder?

eric1968---Heaven is a place I can experience the full glory of Jesus and worship him without distraction. JESUS is the appeal.

eternal life with the One that exemplifies love.
John 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life
Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

What book and verse is that in again?

Did you accept Jesus Christ into your life?
---Ed on 6/16/09

Peter Tells Us Exactly what we should do to be saved. Acts 2:38- Un-saved people are asking saved people, WHAT SHALL WE DO? If you follow the teachings of the apostles in the book of Acts you will be right on target. Acts is the only book in the Bible that gives word for word instructions on how to be saved. The other books in the New Testament (excluding Rev.) are written to already Saved Churches on how to stay saved. You cannot add or take away from the Gospel. Galations 1:8-9. If it is in the Bible obey it, if it is not in the Bible do not follow it. God does not make mistakes, Man does. Follow Gods word, NOT MANS, your salvation depends on it.

"Pharisee, I didn't make that statement."

You're right, you implied by what you said and I wanted to see where you were coming from. Peace 2 U, thanks.
---Pharisee on 6/13/09

I have a hope and assurance according to the Word of God. If we do things God's Way,endure to the end, remain faithful and heaven, will be ours one day.
We cannot do what we want to do,when and how we want to do it and expect God to understand. No! The Way is laid out in God's Word(bible)If we try to do anything differently, we are labeled a thief.
We must be born again(salvation)baptized and filled with God's Spirit.
---Robyn on 6/13/09

Pharisee, I didn't make that statement.
But since you asked.
Psl 37.29 "The righteous will inherit the LAND and dwell in it forever"
Psl.115.16 "The highest heavens belong to the LORD ,but the earth he has given to man"
God put man on earth to populate and care for it,He hasn't changed his mind..this is our environment, not the stratosphere
Angels already live there, and some that Jesus will take with Him to Co-rule for 1,000 years! (I'm not righteous enough for that crew)
Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth! What? you don't like God's creation??? I do!

Mima, What scripture says being "saved" means going to heaven????
---1st_cliff on 6/13/09

I will go to heaven because God says I'll go. Three times in his word he says, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Permit me to call before you,
"Lord Jesus
thank you for coming into my life, forgive me my sins and save my soul, I here now call on your name for my salvation."
You have read my call and to say that I'm not going to heaven now would be to make God a liar!!!
So based on God's Word and truthfulness I'm going to heaven.
---mima on 6/13/09

Entirely, God chose me while I was still his enemy, manifested himself to me repeatedly until I sought his irresistible love for me, and when I sought him with all my heart he confirmed that love and assurance followed as I walked with him.

Some people believe God because a preacher beat em up with his word, I believe God because God beat me up with his word. OK maybe beating up isn't the right choice of words here, in any case, God's grace breaks us down to accept him.

"How Do You Know For Sure You Are Going To Heaven?"

I was taken to heaven, as an heighten state of awareness that transcends the sensual, when the Father raised Jesus from the dead and opened my mind to His indwelling presence.

By the word He inspired, He "hath quickened 'us', (His Chosen) together with Christ," and "raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:" Eph 2:5,6
