The Bible says that God became flesh, the man Christ Jesus, and dwelt among us. "Emmanuel" God with us.
---Eloy on 8/28/09

That Trinitarians worship 3 Gods or 1 God with 3 heads is missinformation spread by deceivers.

Scripture says God is spirit (not man) not inhabiting space or time, does not exist in our terms!

He is not flesh and blood but took upon Himself flesh, in Jesus Christ becoming God with us.

Deceivers are willingly ignorant of this, that as spirit God is everywhere at the one time, with us now but we cannot see, or touch Him unless He reveals Himself. He revealed Himself in Jesus-If you have seen me you have seen the Father. Difficult to comprehend, only because we are very limited creatures, limited by time, knowledge and intellect. But this is what God's word says and we as children of faith should trust what it says.

Lawrence --- You head correctly, but you misunderstood. They are not talking about 3 separate Gods.
---Donna66 on 8/25/09

Donna 66
I'm sorry, but I have heard trin-ministers say on tv & radio even typed out saying, God The Father(This Is Correct), God the son & God the Holy-spirit which Is Incorrect. 3 persons in a god-head Is Also Incorrect. The Father-Son & Holy Ghost Is One & Only One. When God's Word says there's One, only One God & mans says there's 2-3 god's & or persons in a god-head, they Are in the act of commiting spiritual adultery.
---Lawrence on 8/24/09

Lawrence--NO trinitarian church teaches 3 gods! I think you base everything on what you have HEARD from others, about those who believe in the trinity. The scriptures you use to condemn them apply in no way to their beliefs.

All you have pointed out to me is that the scripture speaks in some places of baptism in the name of Jesus... and other places, in the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

To a trinitarian, there is no more conflict there than calling John Paul Jones, "John" today and "John Paul" tomorrow.
---Donna66 on 7/21/09

Larwence, I believe Donna is right concerning the trinity. In the Old Testament Israel was dealing with God the Father. The encarnated Son was not born yet. The Holy Spirit was in action but was not endwelling the believers as it did at the beginning of the church at Pentecost. Then as time went by Jesus came, and He was the first to speak of the Father and Him as One. Jesus then said that later He would send the Comforter (Holy Spirit) after He was gone. Then after Pentecost, the Holy Spirit took part by endwelling believers. The concept of the Trinity was born and believed because the new believers were been baptized now in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. One Godhead. All having their parts to play in this plan.

Donna 66. The Father,Son & The Holy Ghost Is One God,Not two,Not three,(as the trin-ministers say 2-3 god's & or persons in the god-head.) There's Only One God. In Matt 28 v's 19 baptizing them in the name of The Father, the Son,the Holy Ghost, & Jesus Christ Is that Name according to Acts 2 v's 37-41 which Fulfills Matt 28 v's 19-20,Colo 3 v 17. The man constantine who devised the r-catholocism the first trin-church,the trinity doctrine (when this light came to him 2nd Cor, 11 v's 14-15)started this father-son & holy spirit baptism. There is No one found in scriptures that was baptized in the titles. All were baptized in The Name of The Lord & The Name of The Lord Is Jesus Christ.

Anon, it is true that "the Sinner's Prayer" is not found anywhere in the Bible and is a false teaching.

Concerning speaking in tongues, it is written in scripture, but what people have made it to be is a false teaching which was began in Topeka, Kansas, in the year 1901, by the a person by the name of Charles Parham. There is documented hostorical evidence to prove this is a fact. The reason I do know about this comes from doing research.

I attended an independent Baptist church in college and they split completely in two right down the middle over whether translations other than the King James TRANSLATION should be used. (They did NOT support Wycliffe Bible translators attempts to bring the gospel to the 2000 remaining laguages or 4000 tongues in the world.) They also taught that the wine in the Bible was "grape juice", ignoring other verses in the Bible that warned of its effects using the same root word for "wine". They also said that women must not wear pant suits. Some of them have controlling pastors and are cultlike. They also sang 72 stanzas of Just as I Am one Sunday and tried to get me "saved" after I had been a Christian for 10 years.

scripture tells us to be in the world ,but not of the world.God first, wife or husband second, children 3rd,the rest of the people in the world 4th,you last, for he who would be first must be last,or the lowest.

I notice how you say "some of them" aren't getting into worldly stuff. I'd say evaluate each person, each church, not to categorize and then make general judgments. In any group that is promoting that it is right, you might find stuff that is worldly . . . and this present while they are so busy pointing at how others are wrong, and not being at least as careful to make you wise to how they themselves are wrong. There are times when I have discovered how God showed me I was wrong, and people heard about this, right away. And I got His correction . . . as much as I did . . . but I obviously need to do a lot better. So . . . why all these blogs about how someone *else* is wrong? We can learn from how God is correcting *you* (o:

Lawrence-->>God's Church was born on the day of Pentecost according to Acts 2 v's 37-41 Fulfills Matt. 28 v's 19-20,Gal. 1 v's 8-9. Was delivered to the Jewish people First by Apostle Peter, then Apostle Paul brought this very same Salvation message to us gentiles. The trinity people deny this.<<

Really? I'm a Trinitarian and don't deny ANY OF THESE VERSES nor about the Jewish-Peter-Paul-gentiles connection. I've read the scriptures you cited and don't deny them either.

Except I don't see how any of them point out errors in trinitarian belief. II Cor vs 14-15 doesn't relate to belief in the trinity. Neither does Gal 1:8-9. Both these scriptures are used by VARIOUS churches to apply to ANY with whom they disagee.

Cluny. The r-catholic church the first trin-church & their offspring churches, the presby, luth, naz, bapt, metho etc., Is bible prophecy, Rev. 17 v's 4-6 & there is other scriptures. The man constantine when he embraced a type of christianity started the triune god-head theory. The Jewish people didn't try to devide God into 3 god's & or persons. The gentile man constantine did about 300 yr's(church history)aft God's Church was born on the day of Pentecost. God's Church is One God & One God Only. Which started & born on the day of Pentecost according to Acts 2 v's 37-41 which Fulfills Matt. 28 v's 19-20. Gal. 1 v's 8-9. Straight is the gate & narrow is the way, including Holy living.

\\How can you pick and choose what you want to belive about the bible? You either believe everything the bible says or you are in error.
---anon on 7/17/09\\

That means you believe that bats are birds, right?

It's in the Bible.
---Cluny on 7/17/09

I attended a Baptist church for 2 years in the 1970's. Yes, I'm showing my age now.

They believe false doctrines. They do not believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is needed, but that you get the Holy Spirit when you say the sinners prayer, but the problem is: The Sinners Prayer isn't in the bible.

They also do not believe the gift of Tongues is for today. So they believe in the first seven gifts of the Spirit, but not the eighth and ninth. Very stupid theology.

How can you pick and choose what you want to belive about the bible? You either believe everything the bible says or you are in error.

I don't know where you got this idea.

Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Non-Chalcedonian Churches, Lutherans, and classical Anglicans are all strongly Trinitarian.

They all will say that Pentecost is the birthday of the Church.

Worldly churches try to get the youth programs or other church programs to fit with the people, not with Gods word. they try to form the bible classes to fit what people want, not what God or the bible teaches. Wordly churches avoid harsh topics because they donot want to "offend" anyone. Sorry, but God doesn't care to "fit" our mold, we need to follow him, not the other way around & I saw this through some nondenom mega churches & Southern baptist.

The Bible talks about bishops, presbyters (elders), and deacons as three separate orders.

Unless church has this polity, it's simply not Biblical.
