John usa, what is better to do then to discuss the things of God? What would you rather be doing then been here or another website that discuss's God's Word? Maybe something is more important to you. I was wondering what.

We're people at loose ends, with few places to assert our views.

Cheer up ole sun. Out of the thousands that waste their time....perhaps you could turn it into not a waste of time with a scripture. You may never know....but sow. The end of the row and season may be near.

Law of averages tells me there is a sheep in the mix somewhere. He/she may lost, hungry or scared in the trap of some wolf puffy.
Ezekiel 34:11
For thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
Psalm 119:176
I have gone astray like a lost sheep, seek thy servant, for I do not forget thy commandments.

To learn, to make me think about my beliefs and, yes, to change my mind when its warranted.

Pro 27:17 (RSV)Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. I'm retired. I wish I could find more discussion like this in my church or community.

I'm not here to teach or preach. But I enjoy putting my thoughts into writing.

I'm interested in what other Christians believe. And I love God's Word. These discussions always send me into the Word.

These aren't really blogs, they are discussion boards. If we had something better to do, we probably wouldn't be here. That's my feeling. We're people at loose ends, with few places to assert our views.

Why blog here? To point scripturally that the "gospel" of so called preacher/teachers is "Their" gospel...for their own puffy most cases.

Quote related scriptural wintess two or two thousand and watch them gnash their teeth.
Or mention a prophet. Learn by their sign. Backsign. They run.

Matthew 10:6
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Heb 8:8,Jer 31:31.

I comment because the things that people say reveal what is in their hearts. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. What they say reveals what they know of God's word and what they are manufacturing in their own minds and calling it God's word. What you believe is what you get is what Jesus said. Paul said to let them be accursed that followed their opinions of God's word and not it's meaning.
God called me to an internet ministry, to try to awaken people to the truth of his word. The reason is that Judgement is beginning in the House of the Lord and he is sending fire to try it and purge it of sin.

To share the truth from Christ, the only real one salvation for mankind: for some he is the precious cornerstone, and for others he is a stumbling stone and rock of offense.

wow, what great comments here. I like Cluny's also. Although, for me I would say, I want to stimulate others thinking and stimulate my own.

I often wondered that about you too, Ralph...

JOKING.... sorry, I couldnt resist..
---NurseRobert on 8/8/09

The Lord tells us that after salvation there are works appointed for us to do. I am convinced sharing the gospel is the most important of these works. The second, as I see it, is defending the truth of His word, and His Word against wolves who would lead people away from the Truth into darkness.

What joy it is to do both!

I like to learn what others believe and are being taught....and check it out with scripture.
---Donna66 on 8/7/09

To offer the wisdom and knowledge I have of the Lord Jesus Christ to share with others so that we all may grow up in the knowledge of Him.

I also love learning from others. I have learned alot from some of the posters here. I am open to scripture based opinions and to what the Bible says about things.

For example. When someone asked do you know what it means to be made in His image. I thought that meant when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior we become a new creation. Well that's true, but I learned to be made in His image means we are born with a body and soul and he breathed His spirit into our being thus we are body, soul and spirit.

I mainly blog for educational reasons. I believe that I am different in my perspectives about social and educational issues, from many mainline conservative believers. I have learned that many people have never met a believer who holds my views on some issues.

I love the Lord Jesus and am devoted to serving Him with my life. I blog to educate those who might say otherwise.
---Trish9863 on 8/5/09

Much as Mary already said, I enjoy debating issues (hopefully politely). Ideally, doing so will be an educational experience for myself and others.

When others post things that seem wrong to me, I ask them to provide evidence for their claims. If they have no evidence, this may be an indication to them to re-examine their claims (and, more importantly, for others to recognize that they are merely unsubstantiated opinions.)

If they DO provide evidence, it may be an indication that I need to re-examine my own beliefs and opinions, and I'm perfectly willing to admit when I'm wrong about something. In this way, everybody wins (as long as each person's desire to teach and learn is greater than his own ego).
---StrongAxe on 8/5/09

It's a way to determine if your views have faults, which everyone's views do have faults.
---stephen on 8/4/09

Well, I find that God has me satisfied and caring to share what I can. But I am always concerned that I could be trying to just put someone down, make myself look good, be like you're ignorant and I'm the one to straighten you out. These possibilities nag me, so I pray for God to correct me and make sure I give what He wants. How He is judging my participation and would critique each item after I did it > this would be "interesting" for us to read (o:

I feel the challenge, that I can pray and God can have me write what He knows applies to each person posting a question. Not to give just a generalized answer, or only theoretical.

Hi, I enjoy debating issues (politely) with people I will likely never meet, it's safe and fun and can be a real learning experience too :)
