Darlene: Thanks for praying as I prepare to return to the classroom. I teach 7th grade Social Studies in the City of Philadelphia. Many of my students are of immigrant status and all religions. I love my school, a first since I started teaching many years ago.

I will pray for your little guy. He is young and has time to learn the social skills he needs.

Trish,I am still praying for you at school. What grade do you teach? Please pray for my greatgrandson, school has started here and his teacher called to say he got in trouble,he had tried to trip a student, grabbed a girls shoulder and held a boys arm. I don't think he was being mean although I think the teacher did. He plays rough, and his friends, two brothers one about his age,3, and one about 7,nextdoor also play rough. He had said he wants to have lots of friends in school. I think he just doesn't know how to act yet, although told by us he can't be so rough. Frankly I'm somewhat upset, the child he tried to trip was a 5th grader, and I would like to know why a 3 year old,PreK would have contact with a 10 or 11 year old to begin with. God Bless

Trish,I will keep praying for the Big Sister it is hard to make changes for an adult, and much more for a child. Praying for your daughter to have wisdom and you to get organizing done. It is also hard for me to organize so I can relate to you completely. I was planning to go back to college to get the extra classes in Education to certify to teach when I was sidelined by the back injury but I have been a substitue teacher so I saw how rewarding teaching can be but always demanding. God Bless you, guide you and keep you always.

Darlene: I go back to school on Sept. 1. The students do not come back until Sept. 8.

My daughter is doing much better, but is still very tired. Her challenge has been my 2 year old granddaughter, as she was not sleeping well in the time right after the baby was born. Hopefully, they can get a routine going, and Izzy can adjust to the new intruder in her world.

I would appreciate prayer that I be able to get myself organized before the school year. I lack those skills, and struggle.

Trish I was happy to hear your daughter was doing better. How's she now and how's your toe? I had been praying you wouldn't have to have surgery and I am so delighted to hear God answered prayer. Please pray for my GreatGrand children they begin school Monday,24. The girl is 7,in 2nd grade and almost failed in spite of having all A's except in reading. We think she is reading handicapped, her mother was in Special Education because she was although has higher than normal IQ,and her Grandmother was also. The 4 year old boy will start PreK and is a twister, not mean, but with a mind of his own. My daughter asked him "if you know something is bad why do you do it?", he said"Nana I guess my brain is stuck to my fingers and toes".

Thank you for your prayers for my daughter this past weekend. She was discharged from the hospital Sunday evening. She is very tired, and weak, and still needs prayer as she is still on antibiotics.

Also, I saw the orthopedist this afternoon, and I do not need surgery for my broken toe. I just have to keep it taped and wear the boot thingy.

I could use prayer, as since I broke my toe, I am unable to work my hospital job. I have been using that income to catch up on bills, and now won't be able to work for two weeks. Please pray for me to make wise financial decisions.

Trish, you're welcome. It just seems to me you've had more than your share of problems. I am praying for you and your daughter. Hope all turns out well. Yes new babies in a family can be stressful for big sisters, praying for her. God bless.

Darlene, thank you for your prayers and wise thoughts. I had not thought of these incidents as jabs from the enemy. It makes sense now. I am concerned, as I have to start school in two weeks, and really had a rough time last year with attendance. My school district does not care if a person is sick, absences can lead to disciplinary action.

More prayer is needed this weekend. My daughter called me late Saturday to tell me she is in the hospital with an infection, and must be on an IV antibiotic. She has the baby with her, as she is nursing. Also, please pray for my granddaughter. At two, all of this confusion is stressful. Thanks.

Thanks folks for your prayers.

The meeting started badly with a continuation of the accusations of lying.

But wise and measured contributions (mine among them ... I listened to the recording and was amazed as how quietly authoritative I was!) seemed to calm things down.

I will be in a car on a treasure hunt tomorrow with the two accusers (an effort as one of the main defenders to build bridges with them) and hope we can be at peace.

Trish,You will be in my prayers. What a sad accident, you were getting over the other injury a few months ago and now this, things start happening to you again. Well maybe you should think of it like I do my bad back and comfort myself with this thought,"Satan must really be afraid of me when I am well". God Bless You, May God supply all your needs according to his riches in Glory.

I would really appreciate prayer right now. I broke a toe tripping over my dog on Friday. My doctor is concerned it might need surgery, so he referred me to an orthopedist, who I hope to see on Monday. I am concerned because it makes it impossible for me to work my hospital job, and I need that income to pay off some bills.
---Trish9863 on 8/15/09

Please pray for my daughter. She just got on the airplane to fly to another city for continued training by the company she works for. She'll be there until Friday and it can get hectic. She is still recovering from the broken arm she had surgery for several weeks ago. She has a metal plate from the wrist to the elbow, and is doing well but she hasn't been requied to do so much,as she will there.God Bless

Alan: I hope your situation is resolving.

I am home from my trip to Michigan. My grandson is awesome. So is my granddaughter. I miss them terribly. God blessed me with safe travel, as I had to drive in a horrid rainstorm for four hours on the first part of my trip.

I would appreciate prayer as I wrap up my summer of work at the hospital next week, and get my home organized for the coming school year.
---Trish9863 on 8/11/09

Father, I pray for alan of UK, please give him the wisdom and strength to do what needs to be done and Lord please let him do it quickly and efficiently. Bless him Lord with wisdom, understanding and the ability to hear your voice on this. I pray in Jesus name.

I would appreciate prayer.

I am the secretary of the local charitable Club.

A situation has arisen where one member is accusing another of lying

This has so far involved me in at least 30 hours of listening to tapes of past minutes, typing out summaries and so on. All the evidence shows that a certain statement was made in error.

It was hoped to put the matter behind us, but the complainant is insisting on having it recorded as a lie.

I am now going to have to spend another full day in more past research before the next committee meeting which is next week.

There was one. Maybe they took it off since it was started in July.
---SusieB on 8/5/09

Trish ... Yes there was one, it was opened, after someone (I thought you) had suggested a replacement July one, because the first July one had deviated a long way from "Whats up" into political argument.

I remember contributing to it something about my grandaughter, now 4.5 months, who is the best grandaughter ever.

Someone must have written something so offensive that the Moderators decided to close it down and remove it.

My wonderful grandson was born on August 1. He weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces and was 22 inches long. His name is Lincoln Paul.

Thanks for praying. He waited till I got to Michigan so I could be here to help and see him right after he came into the world.

Please pray my daughter get her sleep and my granddaughter be more cooperative with me. She is two and totally discombobulated by all of this.
