you must realize that jesus has won the war,the battles that go on now are for our salvation, and growth thru and by what he did.

"Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen,...said unto me, Fear not: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me,..... and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come." Dan.10:5,12,13,20.
Nothing has changed, opposers, without and within, are still attempting to hinder our Father's message to us, to deter the understanding and enlightenment meant to be receive thereby.

Cluny,It does appear that Peter recieved a rebuke by Jesus. And yes Peter's choice of words to Jesus may not have found favor with Jesus but I will never think that Jesus would have spoken such childish, moral degrading words to his own apostle friend.Name calling is very uncompassionate towards another and do you really think our creator accused Peter of being possessed with an evil personality where Peter's will to choose his own words was stripped from his mind?Something other than what was percieved by the writer at that moment was happening such as Jesus' authoritive command that Satan be stripped of his command.

I beg to differ, by thats not Biblical!
Sorry, but the Heavens havnt melted with a feverant heat and the stars havnt fell as if they were rippened figs, AND no place could be found in Heaven, This is when Satan is bound to the Earth and not allowed to go to & fro as he does to this day!

All that hasnt happened yet, Man, dont you understand whats coming?

Soon, not only the Earth will shake, But the heavens, and a fear shall befall man and many a mans hearts will fail them!
Watch & Pray...

\\ The war in heaven is over and has been since the moment Jesus stated "get thee behind me Satan".\\

Jesus was actually talking to Peter, but HEY, when does context mean anything in American Christianity, especially pop-evangelicalism?

Yes angels and demons battle today, especially for human souls.
---Leslie on 8/21/09

the battle against demons and the powers of authority is mainly fought by the church.

The war in heaven is over and has been since the moment Jesus stated "get thee behind me Satan".
Spiritual warfare is not about doing battle as humans.
