I have seen this doctine being abuse not only by individuals, but by churches that tend to look the other way as the Wife is being abused. Basically condoning it. That why I listed Gen3:16 on my post.
The Qoram (Islam) allows you to beat your wife 4 times a day and even gives instruction on how to beat her. Yet the Feminist back Islam. Go figure. |

Many women have been and are still being abused by thinking they have to be completely obedient to everything their husbands say. This is not the spirit of obedience. It is being a doormat.
Many husbands do not know how to love their wives as Christ loved the Church. This is what is commanded of a husband. But God would not have a wife take physical or mental abuse from any man.
A wife can be submissive to her husband in spirit, but not be an object of his abuse.

It is an arrangement of God, not of man. The wife will receive the maximum benefit that God put in marriage for her if she agrees with & follows God's arrangement. BUT let me stress this, a lady must seek from God the man that God wills for her before the stated maximum benefit can be received. Please we should not blame God if we submit to a different man whom God has not chosen for us. |

Because scripture recommends doing so. Also, because it promotes order in the home and the family, as well as peace and balance. It can relieve stress and can enhance a marriage. A wife submitting to her husband is a display of trust, confidence and support. For some, it is a voluntary expression of love. |

to submit in the Greek means, to stand under or support. it is not the same word as children obey your parents. a wife should support and uplift her husband,as jesus supported and uplifted his father.it is not a license to blindly follow someone who isn't following Christ himself! |

"What are the reasons that the wife submits to the husband?"
