How Should I Pray
|
|
From your heart. Speak as if you are talking to a friend but in a reverent manner. You are speaking to your Father in Heaven. You should always be sincere and never pray to hurt or harm anyone. You should ask for forgiveness for your sins , so the blood of Jesus will cover you, and keep you safe from the evil one while praying. Praise God and worship Him as this pleases Our Father. If you know scriptures ,pray them during prayer. This is a very powerful way to pray and God will move on your behalf. And always remember to pray in Jesus name. This also gets Our Father's attention and pleases Him. |

Sissy, Praying is so easy! It's just being yourself and talking to the Lord as you would your very best friend. You don't need any books to tell you how. God wants a real genuine relationship with YOU, not you approaching Him through HOW TO books.
That might be ok if a book were named "How to talk to Women", but God is a Person, who wants YOU to know Him intimately and vice versa, with tears, and laughter.
Just tell HIM you don't know how to pray, and would HE teach you! He would more than LOVE hearing that! I promise!
I remember one of my first prayers asking..OK, which one of you am I suppose to pray to. I got my answer! to the Father, through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit! |

Pray then in this way... Our Father who is in Heaven, Hallowed be your name Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us out debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
This is a TEMPLATE on prayer. ALL prayer start with giving the King glory and praise, followed by addressing the Kings affairs. Only after do you give a petition for your needs. The Psalms and all prayer in scripture use this format. |

No one should be dictating to anyone on how to pray. I got so twisted up in this from going to church. And God said, "you had it right the first time". Then I tried to pray like David in the Bible. And God said, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING"? I told Him. And He said, "don't! just keep doing like you've been doing". |

First you should understand this Scripture. First John 5:14-15, " 14-And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15-And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
We are certain that it is not God's will that any should perish. Therefore you can use the above scriptures to pray the lost will be saved. Got doubts ? Give it a try I believe you will be pleasantly surprised!!!! |

You should pray to Jesus honestly and sincerely as a child approaches their Father: and pray for the needs of others and for yourself. |

-- Sissy :
Sister, Christ searches the heart & knows what is the mind of the Spirit to make intercession for the Saints according to the Will of God, and the Spirit itself helps our infirmities with groanings which cannot be uttered b/c we know not what we should pray for as we ought.
Pray with patience for the loins of your mind to be transformed & renewed as your changed Heart has been in Christ which no longer is conformed to the hopes of this world but to the Hopes of Faith by which we're Saved : so as you sojourning here in fear with Hopes to the End for the Grace brought unto us at the Revelation of Christ, you'll be enables to share as Christ has commanded & prove what is that good, acceptable & perfect Will of God. |

Practice praying in Jesus Name for when you awake in the morning, your meals, going to Church, praying for others, blessing, healing & of others, health & of others, forgiveness & to others, your salvation & of others, protection leaving home to your work & at your work-shopping & other even to back home, going to sleep at night. This scripture Colo 3 v 17 applies. Even trin-ministers etc need to take note here, to use The Name Jesus Christ in water baptism, at weddings, at funerals etc. They use & say, in the name of the Fater-Son & of the Holy spirit, using this Is False. The Name of The Lord Is, Jesus Christ which Is according to Colo. 3 v 17. |

"How should I pray?" Sincerely, privately, with forgiveness for others and according to Fathers will. Mat.6:6>Mat.6:9>Mark 11:22 "What should I pray for?" Whatsoever you desire within the confines of His disclosed principles and promises, with this understanding, "What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive [them], and ye shall have [them]." Mark 11:24 Concerning supplications i.e seeking, asking, or entreating our Father, remember the words of Jesus " If you abide in me, and 'My words' abide in you, you shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." But "ask in faith, nothing wavering."Jhn 15:7>James 1:6 |

many pray for a better job,a more understanding spouse,or just to have one,for their family, for things that are important to them, but not necassarily to God. |
