How many here denies the words of Christ?

Mat 7:22 MANY MANY MANY (NOT A FEW) will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not PROPHESIED in thy name? and in thy name have CAST OUT devils? and in THY NAME done MANY wonderful WORKS?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: >>> DEPART << from me, ye that work LAWLESSNESS.

Did their mighty works of Faith save MANY?

No

What is the evidence you've are connected to the power of the cross and the power of the Holy Spirit?

Your faith connected to Him, so you are enpowered to keep His commandments!
Or else you maybe surprised to hear from Father depart from me I never knew you!

MarkV: Devil doctrines 4/6

In other words, the seed is the "Father's Word/words" Cain knew.
But Cain did not care to ACTUALLY DO it. So Father rejected Cain!
Father accepted Abel because Abel did Father's words= instructions, teachings.

We can see through Abel's actions, His Word known even in Genesis before codified, at Mt. Sinai!

From the beginning it has always been about DOING Father's words, instructions.

A FEW ILLUSTRATIONS of righteous men >> DOING << the Word/ Father's instructions:

Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Moses, Paul, Apostles.
Friend these men did either the Rema or Logos word, or both, of the Father.
---Paul9594 on 1/30/10

MarkV: doctrines 5/6

We see the Word of the Father is still the Seed until this day, per Christs lips, Luke 8:11

So then, likewise, what is the Seed of the devil from the beginning, at the fall, until this day?

The Seed of the devil the devils words, make up the devils doctrines, which are not of Fathers words/instructions, teachings!!

Are there many who will be rejected like Cain for not doing Fathers words, instructions, teachings, with faith in Christ?

Is there anything knew under the sun?

No, no nothing knew under the sun, so today MANY hear/read Fathers words but dont care to DO it. Many throw Christs words in the trash, wipe their noses with them and throw THEM in the trash!

MarkV:

I'm not done with my answer to your question.

I have not responded to the answer to my question.

I may have time this weekend to finish my response.

I have to lay a foundation first in order for my answer to make more sense.

I'm not done.

Who just sounded like this fellow?

Luke 11:11: The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12: I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Paul, I want to take back what I said, "you are reading the devils doctrines" I am terribly sorry for making that very stupid comment to you. You didn't deserve that, others do. I completely disagree with what you believe, but that was uncall for. Please forgive me. With all the comments I get from others, I am beginning to sound like them and I am sorry for that, I don't ever want to be like them. I apologize for my comments. Have a great weekend.

THIS chapter is EXACTLY the characteristics of one who is of the faith of Abraham! NO keeping the LAW by faith is ever mentioned here!
---kathr4453 on

First I really enjoyed your post.

Second, could we say that the law is kept because of LOVE and that LOVE is produced because we have the same faith as Abraham?

I ask because Jesus calls it the LAW of LOVE.

What are your thoughts?
---miche3754 on 1/29/10

Paul, you did a lot of talking and didn't answer the question. You sounded like one of those preachers from the word of faith. What happened in Genesis only tells us there is two seeds. What you haven't answered is how do you know the answers were the devils doctrines? Where did you read these doctrines? Paul, you do not follow Jesus Christ under the New Covenant of Grace, you are reading devils doctrines, and you are still under the Law since every answer you give is from the Old Testament Covenant not the New Covenant.
---MarkV. on 1/29/10

MarkV: 3/6

How do we know Cain knew right way to do sin offering? As Abel knew?

Gen 4:7 >>> If thou "DOES" well, <<< shall it not be lifted up? And if thou "DOES NOT" well, sin coucheth at the door

Father said: if thou "DOES" well. This proofs Cain could "DO" offering well. Father would not personally tell Cain >> if thou "DOES" well, if Cain did not know instructions for sin offering!

Abel's sin offering matches Lev. 4:32-35 showing Torah was, before CODIFIED, WRITTEN! Surprised?

Did the apostasy teach u, the Law was only for Moses' time?

So seed "Father's word" Cain knew, but his will did not care to ACTUALLY DO it. Father rejected Cain!
---Paul9594 on 1/28/10

MarkV: Devil doctrines 1/6
Paul, how do you know they are the devils doctrines? I know they are not found in Scripture////

Loving Father teaches this from the beginning, at the fall! This is why Father said: meditate on my Law day and night, Joshua 1:8.

You been taught to do away with His Law/teaching and instructions?
Is it any wonder many cannot discern the devils teachings?

Gen 3:15 and I will put ENMITY between thee and the woman, and between >>> THY SEED <<< and her seed <<<

Just what is her Seed of the Woman? What is the thy seed of the DEVIL?

There are ONLY 2 SEEDS, as taught by the Torah!

Have you been taught different by the apostasy?
---Paul9594 on 1/28/10

MarkV: 2/6
First, just what is her Seed of the Woman? Gen. 3:15.
And what is the thy seed? Of the DEVIL.

The Seed of the Woman is the Word of the Father. How do we know? Per Christ's lips!

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed >> IS << THE WORD <<< of God.

The Word of the Father either Rema or Logos bears in fruit.

True Seed is never been a physical seed, but the Rema, the spoken word of the Father or the logos, the written Word of the Father within a mans heart.

True seed seen, by repetitive illustration,
First illustration: Abel by faith (Hebr 11:4) did sacrifice according to Fathers teachings. Cain did not!
---Paul9594 on 1/28/10

Interesting conversation.

Romans 4 says, :Those who are of the Faith of Abraham are counted as the seed. This is a very PROFOUND statement..!.

WHAT kind of Faith exactly did Abraham have?

Follow Christ, actually means having the faith of Abraham. Because we Follow Jesus EXAMPLE of being obedient unto death.(No LAW ever commanded one to be obedient unto death (even God asking Abraham to sacrifice Isaac) Faith is more than the ability to believe, Faith is OUR WILL to obey.

Hebrews 11 GIVES A list of those in the Hall of FAITH revealing this truth.

THIS chapter is EXACTLY the characteristics of one who is of the faith of Abraham! NO keeping the LAW by faith is ever mentioned here!
---kathr4453 on 1/27/10

Paul, the answer is no. We should follow Jesus Christ example. Now it is your turn? Answer the question.
---MarkV. on 1/27/10

MarkV:

If you answer this question then I will answer yours.

Should we follow Abrahams faith example? Yes or no?

To Whosoever Has An Ear To Hear?

Brethren, Jesus didn't advice us to follow anything or anyone else but the Way, Truth & Life. Christ said to pick up your cross and follow Him, and this is only accomplish by Faith. To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin b/c whatsoever is not of Faith is sin : and without Faith it is impossible to do the Good which Pleases God !!

Paul, you should not need my advice to follow Christ. You should be doing it if you are born of the Spirit. You sure don't need my help. All I could do was to give you the Truth, and let God take care of the rest. But since you stop hearing, the Truth I give, it will not make a difference in your life, unless, and here is the big catch, "God brings you to His knees and orders for you to listen, and you will listen" Otherwise advice doesn't help.

MarkV:

U said:
Paul, I don't advice you to do anything.///

U dont advise me to follow after Christs, Abrahams example?

It is bad to follow their example?

Is it not GOOD for you to advise me and others, to follow Christs, Abrahams example?

Is not true we are to be Christ like?

But you will not advise me or others to be Christ like?

Did you know that:
To him therefore that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James 4:17
---Paul9594 on 1/25/10

What should I say, because he has revealed himself to me?
He has proven to me he is? Because I know he loves me?
No!

Because, I know in time, he will reveal himself to you!
Because, I know he will prove he is, to you!
But, above all, I know his great love for you!

In my life, I have heard so many talks about god.
But I always hear a kind of mistrust in their words.
Some here try to tell you, things were preordain by God.

It is so written in the bible. Isnt it?

But, this basically kills freewill. I tell you no, it doesnt!
You cant understand how this can be.
If I tell you, you will not believe!
---TheSeg on 1/24/10

Paul, I don't advice you to do anything. What I say means nothing to you anyway. So, no. Paul, you have already made up your mind and the reason you are here on line is to state what you feel everyone should be doing. What you say. By closing your mind already on what you believe, no amount of Truth revealed to you can help you. Your hearing has closed. I believe Shawn T, posted something very important,
"Unless a person can Hear, they shall not Believe let-alone Understand the Gospel when its shared with them b/c it's spiritually discerned and shall appear as foolishness unto him : for the natural man receiveth not nor can he know the things of the Spirit of God."

Lee1538,MarkV:

We are not into Judaism, Christianity, nor of the mixing of the two. Neither do I follow the precepts of men of any type which contradict, subtract, add
to Christ's Word, words.

We are of Faith AND Obedience to the ONLY SEED: The Word of The Father, from Genesis to Revelation.( In their original written forms: HE-brew).

We WALK AFTER THE FULL EXAMPLES OF CHRIST AND Abraham, of Faith to believe the Word of The Father, weather of Rema or Logos,(even as Abraham Genesis 15:6). We also walk after the full example of OBEDEINCE OF Christ and Abraham (GENESIS 26.)

Do you advise me NOT to follow these examples?

Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

But there is no one alive that totally observes the law for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23.

Scripture also states:

Ga 3:11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for The righteous shall live by faith.

And if you are truly a child of the promise given to Abraham, you live by faith, not by the law which was but a guardian until Christ came that we could be justified by faith. (3:24)
---Lee1538 on 1/23/10

For one big thing creation itself proves there has to be a God Creator. You don't get order out of disorder. Also I believed in God as a child before I made the creation decision. Before I was old enough to understand about order.Being raised in a cult that only recognizes Jesus as a great teacher, the wayshower.(I'm not speaking of the somewhat uneducated hippie type cult) this group was mostly college educated and really considered themselves much more educated and knowledgeable than most people) anyway I had a dream in a time of distress and Jesus put His hand on me and I realized He was God.

To Whosoever Has An Ear To Hear?

Brethren, Our Faith unto Salvation comes from Spiritually Hearing God's Word(Rom.10:17) : not to be mistaken for physically hearing it.

Unless a person can Hear, they shall not Believe let-alone Understand the Gospel when its shared with them b/c it's spiritually discerned and shall appear as foolishness unto him : for the natural man receiveth not nor can he know the things of the Spirit of God.

What does the Phrase UNCHANGING GOD mean to you?

In the OT all believers were required to keep the sabbath:

Isaiah 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I [am] a dry tree.

Isaiah 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose [the things] that please me, and take hold of my covenant,

Why would that change in the NT?
It is the same Law that God has placed inour hearts.

Jason, I believed in the "reality" of God even before I was saved, because it made much more sense to me to think/believe that the world as we know it was created by a Supreme Being than to think that a bunch if inanimate material could "form itself into living organisms". I have seen PLENTY of rocks and things, but, I've never seen any of them make a living creature out of themselves. SInce Jesus Christ came into my life I can honestly say that I KNOW there is a God and HE lives in my heart.

Jason: I believe in God because of the evidence of His operation in the natural world and because of His supernatural operation in my own life. MarkV//Paul, that is what you are teaching the Old Law.

And that is where his problem lies, he uses the word of Jesus that pertain to the Old Covenant dispensation, not being able to rightfully handle the word of truth.

Galatians 4:4-5 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.

And that is why he rarely quotes any Scripture found in the epistles, especially Romans, Hebrews or Galatians-- scripture that rejects his Judaizing viewpoints.

God is the most reliable and dependable being that I have ever known. HE keeps HIS words and HIS promises. HE is also my best friend and Master at the same time. HE does not pretend nor deceive. He does not joke. What He says is what HE means. HE does not make mistakes or judge wrongly. HE is perfect. HE does not punish anyone in error or over-punishes. HE is the most-loving being and the most powerful at the same time. HE is all-knowing, all-hearing and all-understanding.
HE is everywhere. HE is very merciful. HE can allow some who do not know HIM to talk some level of bad things against HIM without judging them harshly because HE knows all about their ignorance.

Paul9594 //Those who have believed and accepted Jesus as Lord & Savior are those who have consented to His words. Your incorrrect,
---
You are wrong as usual as you do not not understand what it is to believe and to accept Christ into your life because you are spiritually blind and do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior. Your gospel is one of salvation by works.

James 2:10 states you will be accountable for all the law if you break any one point.

However, if you become one that is born of His Spirit, it will be that spirit that will work within you "for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them". Eph. 2:10
---Lee1538 on 1/21/10

Paul, that is what you are teaching the Old Law. You kept saying why don't you follow what Jesus said, and that is what people have been telling you for a long time and you never mentioned the commandments Christ asked us to obey. You kept going to the Commandments and laws God gave Israel. You are still in the Old Covenant and want everyone to belong to it. But Paul, you have to come out of the Old Covenant to get in the New Covenant of Grace. That is why when you want to answer you always go back to the Old Testament. You are doing what the Judaizers were doing. You want to stay stuck in the Old Covenant.

Paul, anyone not following Christ commandments that includes you, are not His. Jesus taught that the central demand of God's law is to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength" And this is the first Commandment. And second, like it, is this, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" There is no other commandment greater than these" Thus the essence of all sin is the failure to love God. That is the primary violation. And the essence of sin is most clearly seen in unbelief. This is found in John 16:8 where Jesus said He would send the Holy Spirit who would "convict the world of sin..because they do not believe in Me"

why do I believe in God?

God has chosen those who will be saved even before the foundation of the earth (Eph. 1:4) and as such He makes Himself known to us.

As such, He involves Himself even in the very details of our lives.

And little coincidences often happen.

One morning a co-worker of mine spotted a fish-cross lapel pin she wanted to have as a gift to her husband. The man told her he got it from an ad in Yankee magazine but could not find the magazine it was in.

I wandered down to the nearest men's room and upon sitting on the throne, I noticed someone had left there a Yankee magazine. Upon opening it, I found the ad she was looking for. She really went wild when I handed it to her.

The reasons why we believein god are:

1: because as children we were told to, and so as adults we continue to do so.

2:having nver seen God, having never seen jesus, we believe that the prophecies of the Bible are true, and this gives us much evidence that God must also be real and true.

The prophecies of the bible are varied. They tell which nations will succeed which and how.

3: Other biblical truths which arescientific in nature.

When men believed that the earth was flat, the bible said it was round.

When men believed that air has no mass, the bible said it did.

The bible was the first to speak about ocean currents and trade wind.

I heard a Pastor preaching about the saving power of Jesus Christ and why he was born, why he walked on earth and why he died. Since the time, I accepted Jesus as Lord, my spirit became new and I saw that I was dying and on my way to eternal separation from God. I began to meditate on the word of God, day and night and everything about me (my bad ways, thoughts about myself, others and God) were changed. I began to use the word of God to determine how I should carry out my life and my life has changed tremendously. I know God is real because I took the word (Holy Bible) applied it and God is working his nature in me everyday. God works through People and he works in US to make us more like him. I love the Lord, not just like him.

I learned to go to church, about how healing comes from God and all the positive things God does for us,his children through love, faith, and believing. Through following the words/teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ I have come to know God though unseen. He is the BEST being I have ever known. He relates with me according to HIS instructions in HIS word The Holy Bible. HE is dependable, faithful to inferior beings like man(me), leads, guides peacefully and safely. Knowing God through the Lord Jesus Christ has helped to remove a lot of earthly fears, human-pride and worries that used to dominate my heart/life & rob me of peace in the past. Words are not just enough to totally describe what GOD has been to me.

Brother Bob, your words are my words. I cannot see how, without God having love on me first, I could ever have confessed Jesus as Lord. I thank Him for coming into my life by His Spirit. I deserved nothing but damnation. As you, only God could deliver me from the sinful lifestyle I led and changed my heart, mind and priorities. I am another Christian with the same testimony as you brother. I'm glad I met you through this site, and a wonderful New year to you and family, blessings brother,

jason,I believe in God,because of his son jesus.I believe for many reasons now but I was persuaded by the deaths of all the 12 apostles. All were executed for their faith in jesus, they died professing he rose from the dead, most men will die for the truth, but I dont know one that would die for a lie. This fact of history convinced me.

Because I see the world in the horrible shape its in and know this couldnt possibly be all there is to life. Life is void of purpose without God. So much so that we are at each others throats constantly. Envying one another for the happiness the other person carries, even to the point that some will take away life.

Our purpose is something science is trying to find without faith. They form theories, then prove themselves wrong... over and over again.

Some people choose to keep their hope in science. I choose to have mine in Jesus Christ. To me the Bible explains the condition of the world perfectly and offers hope for everyone. When we open our hearts to this truth, we have no need to envy one another anymore.

Because nothing else in this world could give a wretched sinner like me a Savior who imputed His righteousness to me, a Holy Spirit to help and teach me how to be a child of God, and the gospel of good news which shows me what God the Father expects from His children. Only God could deliver me from the sinful lifestyle I led and change my heart, mind, and priorities. I've met many Christians with the same testimony. I also see God's splendor and glory every day in His beautiful creations.

I believe in God, but now I know Him intimately.

I began to talk to him when I was 16. I am now 51 and when God started answering my prayers, forgiving me for my sins instead of punishing me which is what I expected, I was blown away at the amount of Love He was pouring out over my life.

I talk to Him and pray and worship Him everyday. He responds to that. When God responds to you, it is awesome.

For you Jason, since you are an athiest, the bible says, "Taste and See if the Lord is good." If I were you, I'd pray, Lord shoe me that you are real, please give me a sign or do something special for me to show me you are alive today." And He will answer you in His time. God Bless you.

I believe in God because He has done so much for me that no other human could possibly do for me. He has brought me out of the deepest despairs and nightmares of my past. I have so much to be greatful for. I can talk to Him anytime I want about anything and never be judged for it and that makes me feel special and very much loved and most of all, I love the peace that I experience when all has turned upside down.

I believe in God becaue when I look around at the order of the universe, the beauty of nature, and he created mankind and just One Salvation plan for mankind. Who could have done it all, but God. And who else answers my prayers and gave me this beautiful day. Only God of course.
---Sissy3396 on 11/15/09

I don't just believe in God. I know Him. And just as I know my children, so I know God.

He first loved me at age 5. I gave my heart to Him and to Jesus then. I wasn't born again until age 11. But all during those years I talked to God as my Father. He heard me. He kept me safe. And He is still my best friend.

How could I deny my own child? So, then, I cannot deny God.

Psalms 14:1,
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."

I was raised as a confirmed atheist. My mother explained to me at an early age that only "stupid" people believed in God and that it was not scientific. However, God had a different direction prepared for me and while still in college, I began exploring unseen powers as in the occult and paranormal. While I do not encourage others to dabble in this area, it was by seeing that there was power (even satanic) beyond me that eventually, the Holy Spirit worked through others to show me the gospel of truth and I came to Jesus Christ. I now understand the power of God and gift of Jesus. God is awesome in the truest sense of the word.

I didn't until I got saved. And then it was, "Wow, there is a God". "Wow, there is a hell". The hell part entered into it, because God flashed hell right infront of me and said, "that is where you are going to go if you do not get forgiveness of ALL your sins"!>>>> Atheist, I am surprise that you don't spell atheist with an capital A. Because you bragging. Now, back to God>>>Everyday God gets me through, everything. When I was lost I could not deal with ANYTHING.

Jason, I believe in God because I am saved. I hope that is the answer you are looking for.

Because Jason, "since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that [moral, finite men] are without excuse. Now hear this, O foolish and senseless [ones], Who have eyes but do not see, Who have ears but do not hear. From the beginning of [the] creation [of man], God made [you] male and female, in His image" Romans 1:20>Jer. 5:21>Mark 10:6>Gen. 1:27
"But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you, And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you. The heavens are telling of the glory of God, And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands." Job 12:7>Psa. 19:1

Why do you not believe in God?
---Eloy on 11/14/09

Because God has shown Himself to be who He says He is. (James 4:1-10)
---Leon on 11/14/09

Well, Jason, it's not only because of what the Bible says, but I experience there is One invisible who shares with me and deals with me the way the Bible says He does . . . sharing peace that is absolutely beautifully wonderful better than any human comfort or pleasure experience I have had, and no one told me about this. And how He has things work and in timing, plus correction to see things wrong with me, that help me be more loving of all people > Matthew 5:46. But is He just an "imaginary friend"? He's better than I would have imagined while so busy with my religious narcissism etc., after being a predatory narcissist before that. Psalm 63:3. He changed me to discover Him.

I have to say I just do, Jason.

Faith is a gift--and it's given to EVERYONE, even you!

None of us could believe in God all on our own.
---Cluny on 11/13/09

I grew up going to church, when I was a young teen I was really big into nature, and star gazing. When I got older the whole idea of a universe creating itself just could not ring true in my mind because there really could be no explainable begining.Even the big bang theory can and never will be able to explain where or even how so much matter came from such a small atom sized object,or how it came into existance. For me a spiritual creator who always existed was logically the only thing that made sense.being outside of time, and space, yet able to create it.then I began to really read and study the bible ,and the witness of all the prophets, and apostles ,and jesus himself.thats why I believe.
