No Crying In Heaven

I may be going home to be with the Lord soon. I have blood clots and cannot be on blood thinners. I'm just curious, what do you think you will do when you see Jesus? I'm a cry-er but there's no tears in heaven, so how can we express our love and appreciation of Him if we can't cry in Heaven?

Crying is a physical reaction of our bodies to a strong emotion.
If our "spiritual body" doesn't shed tears, we will still be able to express ouselves in some satisfying manner, I think.

Donna- when I had a life threatening illness a few years ago, The Lord assured me that He was by my side...and if I died He STILL would be by my side. He always got me through the challenges of life, and when I die He will continue to be my strength then as well.

I'll pray that you are able to continue years enjoying life, serving the Lord Jesus.
But,with the Lord, it's a "win-win" situation either way.

I have often thought about this. I would love to hug Him and thank Him. Never leave His side.

Sorry to hear of your medical condition.I do hope and pray that you will be a recipient of God's healing power.Dont lose faith-press on.But if God should take you, rejoice that u have a mansion in Heaven and I too believe there will be tears of joy, that God will gently wipe away with a smile. But I also know God is still in the miracle working business. He heals-sometimes miraculously, sometimes thru medicine--ultimately in heaven.God bless u and keep u.Judy and the girls.

Donna, Im sorry to hear about you illness as Im sure your family will miss you much, but I also find great joy in the fact that you know you're going to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that if its His will that your passing is come at this time that He will keep you in comfort and full assurance as you go. Good journey to you, my sister in Christ.

I dont know about anyone else but the first thing Im gonna do is run up to Christ and kiss his feet and cry thanking Him for saving my soul. The angels are gonna have to pry me off lol. I absolutely believe there are tears in Heaven as not all tears of those of sorrow. Some are of joy.

The verse I believe your are alluding to mentions death, sorrow, and pain, therefore, I would think, the tears represented in the verse, are tears of sorrow and/or grief, as opposed to the tears associated with laughter and/or Joy.

"so how can we express our love and appreciation of Him if we can't cry in Heaven?"
The same way that our love and appreciation for Him is expressed in this life. The verse does not say one can not cry, simply that the tears will be wiped away.(o:

1st cliff, Jody, eloy, and everyone else, thank you so very much. When they told me I may die, I said, "OKAY." So far, I haven't cried over it down here, but I know when I see Jesus, I am going to cry, fall on my knees and worship Him. Thank you everyone for your love and support and enouragement (((huggss to all of you)))

Donna, I am sorry you are not feeling well. My prayers are that you will remain healthy enough to do so many more things God has in store for you. You be surprise to know that many here will be gone before you are. Some you will never hear from again. I know it is easy for me to say its a whole lot better in heaven, yet in my heart I do not really want to leave yet. But when my time comes I know that my assurance is in Christ just as yours is. Until that time comes, keep the work you are doing going.
I believe the tears that are mentioned in Scripture are meant to explain, that when we get to heaven we will not cry sad tears for our loves ones on earth. We will probably cry when we see Christ. It will be tears of joy.

Growing up in this world of corruption, we've all learned many bad habits and attitudes.

Many people have conformed to this world of corruption and no longer feel uncomfotable in it, but others of us still feel uncomfortable and know how to cry and be sad ("poor in spirit")...

Matthew 5:3
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,...".

The Lord has no use for those who forgot how to cry (tears of "LIVING water", John 7:38).

After Jesus wipes the tears away, there will be no more tears, but the flame in your heart will always remain.

You can praise him:

~King of my life, I love you, Lord of my heart, adore you.
You are majesty, royalty, shepherd of my soul,
and I love you love you love you love you, my God...

~I magnify your name Holy Lord.
I magnify your name Holy Lord.
I magnify your name, magnify your name,
magnify your name Holy Lord...

May God bless your every moment both here and in eternity:). Do not be concerned about expressing feelings on that day as I am sure that God has it all handled. A mystery now but it will be clear. I am sorry to hear that you are ill. You are in my prayers.
---jody on 11/24/09

Donna, I'm so sorry I hadn't realized you were unwell.
The tears will be here from all that know and love you!
The same fate awaits all of us, we just don't know when! Christ is faithful who promised.
Everlasting life is the real life! courage!

Donna, it says that every tear will be wiped away. If there were no crying in heaven, there would be no tears there to wipe away in the first place. So there is crying in heaven. on 11/24/09

God bless you Donna Because you are saved death will be like an open door to you. You will go through and be joined(in knowledge and spirit) with the Lord Jesus Christ. you will take your place among the voices that are praising the Lord Jesus Christ in continual praise. Also you will have open, complete insight to the things of this world. You will understand as God understands and there will be no reason for human tears to be shed. All the bumps in your memory(things that did not go right at the time) will all be smoothed out.

I'm 72 and when I get there I will look you up!! Again God bless you Donna!!

Actually there is a verse that says that God will wipe their tears away. So I think that in order for him to do that they would have to cry first.

Don't worry about it.
