How can you ignore these two words in this verse to say that the millenial reign is in heaven:
Their souls are already in heaven but their bodies are still on earth. Their bodies come to life on earth.

Not ignoring LIFE at all.Souls UNDER and ALTAR in heaven? which alter?

I am not ignoring it, when jesus returns all who have died in the tribulation and not received the mark will be resurrected and taken to heaven.

all who have not accepted christ will die at the brightness o fhis coming. Johns lets us know for 100% sure, that those who have been through the tribulation will be alive and resurrected when jesus comes
---francis on 2/24/10

Mark, this is my view of last day events:

Time of trouble -> jesus return during time of trouble Daniel 12
resurrectionof the righteous and the living in christ immortalized Daniel 12, 1 thess 4.
all caught up to meet him in the air.

the unrighteous are killed by the brightness of his ocming. 2 these 2 v8

Judgment in heaven 1000 years which includes all that are saved, even those who have gone through the tribulation.

1000 year later evil dead are raises -> new jerusalem coming down-> evil dead and satan attack ( amarmagedon) -> fire from heaven -> new Jerusalem comes to earth-> tabanacle of God with man forever Rev 20-22
---francis on 2/24/10

Francis:

I tried to post this before. The way you are reading the version of Daniel 7:22 is faulty.

Look at this version (NASB):

Dan 7:22 "until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom"

The actual judgment is not given to the saints to make at this moment, instead it is made for them in their favor.

Also, please remember who the subject of these verses is, the Little Horn or the AC. The Beast is judged before the millenial reign of Christ, Rev 19:20 and before the rest of the world is judged.
---Mark_Eaton on 2/24/10

My understanding is the same as the apostle paul:

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Before the saints posses the kingdom there is a judgment. Paul's understanding comes from Daniel

Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
---francis on 2/24/10

Francis:

Your understanding of Daniel 7 is faulty.

The fourth kingdom gives way to the millenial kingdom of Jesus in this vision just as it did in Daniel 2.

Dan 7:18 "But the saints of the Highest One will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, for all ages to come."

and again

Dan 7:27 "27'Then the sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One, His kingdom will be an verlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him."
---Mark_Eaton on 2/23/10

Francis:

How can you ignore these two words in this verse to say that the millenial reign is in heaven:

Rev 20:4-5 "...and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand, and they came to LIFE and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to LIFE until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection"

Their souls are already in heaven but their bodies are still on earth. Their bodies come to life on earth.
---Mark_Eaton on 2/23/10

Now while the bible tells about the saints sitting as judges, only in one passage does it say how long.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and JUDGMENT was given unto them: ... and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

1000 years reigning with christ as judges.
The rest of revelation talks about the 2nd resurection, and the NJ coming down.

To be sure that this takes place in hevaen see this next text:

Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and JUDGMENT was given to the saints of the most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

The Judgment is given BEFORE the saints possessed the kingdom. I.E before they come back to earth.
---Francis on 2/23/10

Mark Eaton. I am happy to explain

There is an assumption that "reign" refers to 'rule"

They reign with him not as rulers over men, but as judges.

We both agree that all judgment is given to Jesus, and that jesus will sit in judgement.

The bible also says that the saints will sit as judges.

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?

Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Matthew 19:28 ... the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

In context, it takes place in heaven, and has to do with Judgment.
---francis on 2/11/10

Please explain how you deduce this.

No one rules in heaven except Him who sits on the Throne.

We have seen the throne room over and over and over in Scripture. Ezekiel, Isaiah, Revelation. In every case, God is ruling in heaven.

Zech 14:9 "And the LORD will be king over all the earth, in that day the LORD will be the only one, and His name the only one"

Another place where you are told that Jesus will be the ruler over all the earth.
---Mark_Eaton on 2/23/10

francis - Rev.6:9-10 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

To the Adventist they have to believe that since the souls cried with a loud voice, there is not such thing as soul sleep for the dead. Bear in mind these saints were murdered and their bodies went to the grave.
---Lee1538 on 2/11/10

This is the only bible reference to 1000 years ( millinium)

Revelation 20:4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years

In context, it takes place in heaven, and has to do with Judgment.

1 Corinthians 6:2
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
---francis on 2/11/10

//For r-catholocism The mother apostate church(the first trin-church) with her daughters churches(All Man-mades)got those lies from here,

Apparently you fail to realize that Adventism came out of the other Protestant religions, so what does that make your denomination? A grand daughter or step child, possibly even illegimate?

Samuel
For r-catholocism The mother apostate church(the first trin-church) with her daughters churches(All Man-mades)got those lies from here, 2nd Cor.11 v's 14-15 ends up here Rev.17 v'4-6 then to the lake of fire. They Are such Good people but, so spiritually darkened because of idol worship & the such like.

jerry6593: "There will be none left alive on the earth after Jesus' coming."

I suggest re-reading Revelation especially about the number of human deaths.
---Steveng on 2/6/10

jerry6593, you also may want to read Zechariah 12-14. There will be many alive when Jesus comes( when He stands upon the Mount of Olives) to set up His Earthly Kingdom for 1000 years.

steveng: "There will still be a multitude of people living at this time. They will populate the earth."

There will be none left alive on the earth after Jesus' coming. His brightness kills them.

2Th 2:8 .... the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

There shall be a new heaven and a new earth. At the sound of the trumpet, when Jesus returns the second time, the dead in Christ shall rise and the living in Christ shall be caught up with those dead. These are the ones who will populate heaven. This is the first resurrection.

There will still be a multitude of people living at this time. They will populate the earth. Christ will reign on earth for a thousand years. At this time, and after Satan is let loose for a short time, all the other dead shall rise (who didn't rise at the first resurrection) and be judged from the book of life - according to their works. Praise God for being a good judge.

Blessed are those that rise at the first resurrection.
---Steveng on 2/5/10

at the end of the 1000 years there is another war,so this happens upon the earth, just go and read the plain meaning of the text in a good bible and study the word till it begins to make sense, pray for discernment..
---richard on 2/5/10

The people who live during the millenium are THE SAINTS, who will judge the world during 1000 years (see 1 Cor 6: 2-3 and Rev 20: 4-6).
Where do they come from? They are either from the righteous living at Christ's return or from the righteous dead, resurrected at the first resurrection. (see 1 Thes 4:16-17)
Are they saved yet? Yes they are. That gives them the right/ privilege to judge the world, which means to AUDIT God's judgment, ulimately leaving no doubt in anyone's mind that God has been completely fair.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Only ONE event is mentioned during this 1000 years: JUDGMENT

References to this include: 1 corithians: 6 verse 2, and Daniel 7:22

This is not a reign of power on earth, it is judgment in heaven. This is a reign on 1000 years of judgment in heaven.

It happens before the saints inherit earth

\\you assign "hatred" because you no longer have any scripture to share\\

And you think you do, Rhonda?

I've not seen you quote ONE verse on any of these blogs, whereas I've quoted plenty, and still do where appropriate.
---Cluny on 12/18/09

I do not blame lies being started by the RCC. I blame satan. Those men and women who worked with him to create religons not just one of works righteouness and easy believism where by those who are wicked become the representives or Vicars of GOD.

There are many great Christians who have been Roman Catholic and I enjoy some of their writings. But the system is wrong.

Today those who refuse to follow the Bible because they do not want to are to blame for their choice.
---Samuel on 12/18/09

There is no earthly millennium after Christ returns.

We are NOW living in the "thousand years" between Christ's first and second comings, when Satan is bound--that is, limited in power, not rendered inoperative.
---Cluny on 12/7/09
Cluny, where do you see anyone who has been beheaded sitting on the throne reigning and ruling with Jesus Christ?

Nowhere does scripture say there is 1000 years between Christ's first and second coming.

And satan is not now bound...and more than 1000 years has passed from Christ's first coming!!!!
---kathr4453 on 12/14/09

Does anybody say who the people are, check these scriptures Ex. 19:5,6 zech. 8:22,23

And Rhonda, it must be terrible to live with the burden of hatred your carry. Whatever would you do without that nasty ole Roman Catholic Church to blame truth you don't like on?
*****

yes Cluny of course ...you assign "hatred" because you no longer have any scripture to share and your deception runs much deeper than simply assigning adjectives and assumptions to me "in your truth" ...I am not the one who has subjected my MIND and WILL to a mortal man SERVING a religious institute called RCC ...I subject my mind and will to worship and serve The Father in Heaven through Christ in TRUTH and SPIRIT ...it is why you resort to emotionally charged responses defending your religious building
---Rhonda on 12/13/09

Cluny this statement by ---Steveng sums up what I believe about you. "You're an intelligent sort of person - in a worldly way. All of your posts that I've read shows that you have worldly knowledge. But it's futile to try to define spiritual matters in a worldly way."
---Steveng said it much better than I could.
---mima on 12/11/09

Cluny: "And he also said he saw the SOULS of those killed for Christ--not their sould rejoined to their bodies."

You're an intelligent sort of person - in a worldly way. All of your posts that I've read shows that you have worldly knowledge. But it's futile to try to define spiritual matters in a worldly way.

Do an online KJV bible search for the word "soul." Most of the uses of "soul" simply mean humans as in a living soul as in verse Genesis 2:7.

Remember: John's vision is in the future.
---Steveng on 12/10/09

\\
Revelation isn't as symbolic as most christians believe it is. John wrote what he saw in the language he knew at that time - 2000 years ago.\\

And he also said he saw the SOULS of those killed for Christ--not their sould rejoined to their bodies.

Therefore, this reign takes place NOT on earth but in heaven.

And Rhonda, it must be terrible to live with the burden of hatred your carry. Whatever would you do without that nasty ole Roman Catholic Church to blame truth you don't like on?

Without mixing the metaphors and similes of the "thousand years," read these passages very slowly: Revelation 20:2-7

Revelation isn't as symbolic as most christians believe it is. John wrote what he saw in the language he knew at that time - 2000 years ago. The people in the year 4009 will think our descriptions of aircraft, appliances and wars are symbolic, too. How would John describe a helicoptor if he never saw one? How would you describe a flying vehicle from the year 4009? - if you can imagine one at all.
---Steveng on 12/8/09

Amen Donna

many are deceived by religion to believe Satan is "powerless" yet scripture tells us Satan is the god of this world 2Corin 4:4

forgetting if he were not god of this world he had nothing to tempt Christ with - he was giving all governments of world to Christ because he OWNS them

Gods Kingdom on earth established by Christ in millennium when PROMISE of Christ to return is fulfilled and Christians will REIGN with Him

survivors of tribulation who did not receive salvation and eternal life will live on earth ...for first time the earth will be cleansed of Satan and sin and people will learn to live by Gods Laws without Satan to turn them away ...as described in Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day
---Rhonda on 12/8/09

It's the belief in a literal earthly millennium, along with a pre-trib rapture, that are the novelties that people make up.
*****

yes the MOTHER RCC Rev 17 teaches the millennium is not real because this is the SYSTEM that will deceive the whole world with a false peace

through Europe - uniting under 10 countries to usher in the LAST Holy Roman Empire

many within RCC believe peace on earth will become a reality - and it will under the false Christ before Christ returns

Revelation describes WHOLE world fighting against True Christ ...deceived discredit Gods Holy Word claiming plain descriptions of millennium in Revelation are lies

either believe Gods Holy Word or MORTAL men who claim Gods Word lies
---Rhonda on 12/8/09

"Satan is bound--that is, limited in power, not rendered inoperative..."

Cluny, if satan is bound and has limited power, how come Paul tells us to put on the WHOLE armour of God that you shall be able to stand (against the wiles of the devil).

How come he is called the prince of the power of the air? What about Ephesians 6:12?
Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

"Who are the people that live during the Millennium?"
The overcomer (who refuse to bow a knee to the spurious messiah), the martyr (martyred for their faith in the one true GOD), everyone who lived prior to the first advent of The Christ, and everyone who died without ever hearing the gospel of Christ (as those having had no opportunity to acknowledge or embrace His salvation).
"Where do they come from?"
The resurrected and the living who are changed at the last trump.
"Are they Saved already?"
Only the martyr and the overcomer. The rest will hear the truth during the millennia, and their salvation will be determined by the choice they make during Satan's final deception at the end of that reign.
