Perhaps the best way for you to guarantee your seat at the Marriage Supper is to have yourself murdered as a martyr.
****

I suppose adding some humor and cute-sy responses adds variety

however martyred people are not guaranteed salvation

there have been many martyred in name of "christianity" who were not TRUE christians

anyone can CLAIM "christianity" and still not have Gods Truth

the marriage of the lamb and wedding supper happen after the FIRST resurrection of those who receive the promise of eternal life and rulership on earth in Gods Kingdom in the millennium

Psalms 111:10 ...the invitation is not a future event it is NOW when one chooses to OBEY

Well, I prayed over this question! In the Bible there are so many scriptures. Some marriage feast were different than others.. So, what can I say? Ha.

The marriage feast with The Lord having on the wedding garment,Mark 16 v 16 - Acts 2 v's 37-41 which Fulfills Matt.28 v's 19-20, Gal.1 v's 8-9 Is the wedding garment. Fear ye not little flock for ye are the fathers good pleasure. Strait is the gate & narrow is the way & be but few to find it.
The man here in Matt.22 v's 11-13 without the w-garment represents All of the Man-made relig-org's churches 2nd Cor.11 v's 14-15. Beginning with r-catholocism the first trin-church The Mother apostate church with idol worship with her offspring churches, even the god allah of the muslams, buddha, hindu's etc. For broad is the way that leadeth to destruction(hell) & many it will be to go in thereat. Good people,so spiritually darkened.

Jesus calls himself the Bridegroom. He gives the Parable of the 10 virgins, 5 who were ready.

In Jeremiah God says, I will betroth you to me.

In Isaiah, it says, For your maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name.

Who was he married too originally.
Who are the 10 virgins?
(10 Nations of Israel Divorced).
Judah/Benj was never divorced. Judah was widowed as were the 10other nations at Christ death. Freeing/cleaning the former....for betrothal.

Donna I think you should read "The Beatitudes". It applies to your spiritual concerns.

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God, but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Titus 3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Pastor Jim: Good council to Donna!

Donna: Very perceptive! Note that ALL of God's people entered into Esther's preparation by fasting and prayer. It is akin to the preparation for the day of atonement, when all the people prepared their hearts for the day of judgement. That day is coming for us as well, and only the virgins with oil in their lamps (those led by the Holy Spirit) will enter in to the wedding feast. I'm not sure that I'm ready either, but I know that God is merciful as well as just, and that he has the power to get me ready - if I am willing to obey.

DONNA YOUR FAITH IS GREAT!!!

Keep on Asking, Keep on Seeking, and Keep on Knocking. It WILL be opened to you.

Matt:7:7 does say "Keep On"
It's Continous.

Also Continue reading Scripture. Take the advice of men with great discernment.

Remember Jobs friends meant well and were faithful, but in the end they were wrong almost dead wrong.

You have only ONE teacher LEARN FROM HIM ONLY!!!

Donna....Maybe you are part of the Bridge yet, but I am! It is a "KNOW SO SALVATION" for me. Otherwise, I would have remained a Mormon and worked my way to heaven.

Has anyone ever studied or heard a expoundatory teaching on the book of Esther?

She takes months to prepare herself to go in to see the King. Her preparation is related to the preparation for the Bride of Christ. Not all Christians are Brides. I'm not even sure I'm one, but I have been seeking the Lord on that.

There is a marriage feast that is going to take place with Jesus, not sure when or where, but I think it's when the new millenium comes.

Much preparation went into Esther before she went into the King with her request.

Matthew 8:8-10 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof:
but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth, and to another, Come, and he cometh, and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

This man knew that faith without works is dead and Jesus praised him for it. Why is the church rebelling against Faith with works?

Revelation 3:3-5
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard,
and hold fast, and repent.
If therefore thou shalt not watch,
I will come on thee as a thief,
and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments,
and they shall walk with me in white:
for they are worthy.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment,
and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,
but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Unless Christians repent in America Judgment will begin in the House of the Lord. He will return for a spotless and Holy church not a church in sin.

James says faith is dead without works.
He says that just to say you believe is no better than the faith that devils have.
There is a difference in being obedient to obey God and doing works to try to save yourself.
One is having faith in your works the other is
having faith in God's commandment and obeying it. God the Father said this is my son. Do what he says.

Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Actually, the Lord showed me something different than Passover and just being born again.

Jesus calls himself the Bridegroom. He gives the Parable of the 10 virgins, 5 who were ready.

In Jeremiah God says, I will betroth you to me.

In Isaiah, it says, For your maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name.

The Holy Spirit had to put the pieces of this puzzle together for me. Wouldn't it make sense if Jesus is the Bridegroom, that we are to become the Bride, notice I didn't say, we ARE the Bride, we ARE TO BECOME the Bride, but how? It's a really neat and profound revelation that the Holy Spirit can and will reveal to you if you ask Him to.

PASSOVER...it relates to the cups they drank.

The 1st. cup - the cup of thanksgiving represents Jesus on the cross suffering, his hands/feet pierced.

The 2nd cup represents the 10 plagues that fell on Egypt to release Israel from her bondage

The 3rd (cup is redemption) of the first-born. Without the shedding of blood there would have been no redemption.

The 4th cup is the cup of praise and celebration which finishes the Passover service.

JESUS DID NOT DRINK THE 4TH CUP.

It is the 4th cup that Jesus said he would not drink until we celebrate anew at the feast in Heaven.

PASSOVER IS ALL ABOUT CHRIST.

It is WHY we should be Celebrating Passover (Gods Holy day) and NOT Easter(Pagan Holy Day)

To be part of the marriage feast, you must be saved, Christian, born again.
