Favorite Prayer Request

In John 16:13-15 Three times Jesus said the Holy Spirit will disclose to us what is to come. This is one of my favorite and daily prayer requests. Based on these scriptures I ask for daily wisdom. What is one of your favorite prayer requests?

Pastor Jim,you are welcome and I feel very humble to know what I said has given you such hope there are other Christians like me out there,if you mean who love and obey God,I sure do. It is such a blessing to me that you told me that. I believe its God's love for us,our love for him,and our love for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ which makes any Christian, who will allow love to guide actions,a better person. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. What resides within shows without. God Bless

DARLENE,

Just wanted to also let you know that your post have given me hope. Knowing there Christains like you out there.

I better stop there. Don"t want to take away from the rewards that are waiting for you from the Big Guy upstairs, by giving out too much praise down here.

But thanks!

Here is a prayer that I have never prayed for myself, actually I failed to pray this prayer because of lack of knowledge. So here is this prayer.

Father I come before you in the name of your son and my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ to make petition of you.
Father I asked you by your Holy Spirit to make me aware, and more knowledgeable of the character and the integrity and power that exists within your son and how all the righteousness of your son applies to me and gives me the opportunity as well as the confidence to ask that your son by his righteousness work through me. Thank you for the privilege of praying AMEN.

I believe our lack of accomplishment for the Lord is because of our ignorance of the lord's attributes!!!

Lord Jesus, let each beleiver manifest your Spirit every day, up to the completion of the age, in you I pray, a-men.

My prayer is for God, to change a lot of hearts and bring light to those who are in darkness who are lost here on line so they can understand the Truth, in order for them to make a true confession of faith. I know that only the Spirit can bring light to God's Word. Without the light, people continue lost. If they could walk to the light on their own, they would not need the Spirit. But they love darkness rather then light.

Pastor Jim,thank you for the agreement and kind words, thats very good of you to let me know what you think. I must say though the wisdom has come from God. I feel sure you already know that. As we go through life with God he uses our life experiences to teach us what draws us nearer to him in every way, thus gaining insight-understanding and wisdom as we go,guided every day, washing our lives by His Word. God Bless

we can be one only in the Kingdom of God! When Christ is King in His church, there will be no other great name in the Church history or in the present, but the name of JESUS! that's part of Matt.6:10 prayer. Very awesome!

The prayer I pray God in Jesus Name is that he will give me wisdom, knowledge, understanding and God's truth. Asking for God's truth is seeking to know his meaning for all of the Bible verses, not being bound in man's traditions,or living by what denominational beliefs dictate or by what people think. Another prayer I pray is for God to show me his will, his plan, and his purpose for me. Those two prayers are Spiritual and life growth prayers as God leads and guides me into the fullness of his desire for me and my service to him and his Kingdom.

One thing I always pray for is Jesus' prayer in Matthew 6:10 - "May your kingdom come, your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." the LORD wants to bring down heaven on earth! Praise God.

My favorite prayer is when I awake in the morn & just before I go to sleep. I look out the window and say "Thank you for the day you have given me. Please bless (whoever is having a problem they need help with.) Please help me with (whatever problem I'm having.) AMEN."

My favorite prayer request is when I realize I messed up and say, "lord have mercy on me, for I am black but comely."

My second is: Lord, I come before your throne to receive Grace and Mercy AGAIN. Then I continue the prayer.

I once heard a very anointed man of God say, "I'm not up here teaching you because I'm anointed, it's because I'm needy."

I thought that was humbling and that humbled me to pieces.

My No.1 prayer request is, "May God's will be done", whether it is for others or myself. I believe God's will and plan is the (maximum) best that anyone can have Matt.6:10, 26:42, Jer.29:11, Ps.32:8, Deut.8:15-18, Ex.13:21-22.

"Things to come" can include things of the Holy Spirit that are coming, right now, in our daily lives with Jesus. I pray for God to make me submissive to Him the way He has me sensitive and submissive to Him, all the time, and that I am concentrating on Him and intimate with Him, worshiping Him in His love, all the time, discovering what He has me doing, and doing this in sharing with all the others who are in the Holy Spirit intimate and submissive to Him, how He rules us in His peace. "And let the peace of God rule in your heats, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful." (Colssians 3:15) And so, I need much correction to be pure and pleasant and caring for all people.

My favorite prayer is about salvation for someone. I have a strange feeling, a strange knowing that these prayers will always be answered affirmatively. For example Jody's praying for her mother's salvation I firmly believe will be answered. And while I pray about many things I can never pray with the certainty and assurance of a affirmative answer such as I have when I pray for an individua'sl salvation. Interestingly enough many times I have been drawn to pray for an individual who I do not know at all. Most time this has occurred in church but sometimes outside of church also.

Salvation for some older family members and for many/all others.
