\\Christ told true Christians to remember him at Passover telling us HE is the new symbols\\

And therefore, we can forget Him the rest of the year?
*****

I guess if that's the LIE that is sold in religious christianity and you follow as you mock Gods Holy Passover REJECT ignore and dismiss words of Christ in Luke 22:19 (1Corin 5:7-8)....do in remembrance of me

True Christians live by EVERY word of God and follow examples of Christ Matt 4:4 1Pet 2:21 observing Gods Holy Passover with Christ as the new symbol

religious christianity lives by their pagan fables dismissing ignoring and rejecting Gods Word and commandments to suit their pagan easter traditions of man as Christ WARNS in Mark 7:9

Taking part in church services, testimony service at church, Holy Communion, foot washing services are all in order. Just a good old fashion foot-stomping praise and worship service. Celebrating our Independence. Thank you Jesus for dying on the Cross for me and you! What a wonderful day to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. Spending time with the family, friends, Eat a nice meal together and enjoy the day. All of this would make for a great day of celebration.

I've already explained elsewhere the significance of the word "anamnesis."

Amen Jerry

seeing the resurrection day is a man made religious holiday I will do nothing as well

Christ told true Christians to remember him at Passover telling us HE is the new symbols

interesting how the most HOLY event in scripture is turned into a circus side show by religious christianity the truth is turned upside down with NEW traditions of men Christ WARNS us NOT to partake in Mark 7:6-7 and the true meaning is drowning in their pagan celebrations

francis: "And then there is the foot washing after baptism."

I'm still trying to figure that one out. Seems to me that after one is baptized by full immersion, his feet are pretty well washed. The command to observe foot washing was associated with the Communion Service - not baptism.

\\Nothing. The Bible defines the proper celebration of the resurrection as BAPTISM - and I've already done that. It is not bunnies and eggs, sunrise services, or even Sunday worship.\\

This is why anciently Catechumens were baptized on Holy Saturday night during the Vigil before the Paschal Eucharist.

And as I've mentioned, the Jews had, and still have, DAILY services.

I am Gentile Christian, so I celebrate Passover too. I celebrate The Resurrection EVERY SINGLE day of my life - however on Easter Sunday, I do prepare a special meal for my family and that's what I did.

I also took a walk and waved to everyone saying, "Happy Resurrection Day." People would smile and wave back and say, "same to you."

I have been saying Thank you Jesus every day of my life for going to the cross for me and yesterday I kept thinking how neat it must have been when Jesus conquered death and rose out of that tomb and was resurrected after such a horrible crucifixation.

And then there is the foot washing after baptism.

John 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

While working tonight, I was talking to a resident with end stage Alzheimer (not with, to, she usually just stares off into space, and while she can talk, usually will not.)

I asked her if she was having a nice Easter. Her eyes lit up and she spoke of Jesus and all he has done for her. Deep in the recess of her mind, she knew Jesus was still with her. It uplifted my spirit.

THAT'S why I do what I do.

Take out time to consider that Jesus' resurrection is absolute proof that he satisfied the father with his sacrifice. And made a way you and I can be resurrected also.

We did this past Sunday night at the memorial before Passover. We had our communion of the bread & wine. We do not celebrate Easter because Jesus was Jewish & did everything the week of Passover. We do take note in him being crucified & rising again besides the last supper ,we just donot associate Pagan traditions in a Godly holy week.

Be in fellowship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through prayer, thanksgiving, praise and worship.

Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

THIS IS THE ONLY BIBLICAL WAY
BAPTISM is the symbol for the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The easter celebration is taken from Pagan practice to pacify those who do not know the truth.

We are having Easter dinner at our house after the Greatgrandchildren get out of church, and hunt Easter eggs at my mother's. Then all five generations of us will meet at our house to eat and visit. It probably is an old fashioned Easter but thats ok since we are kinda old fashioned people who take great joy in the family we love being together. That is such a blessing from God,especially still having my Mom with us since she is 92. Have a wonderful Easter everyone. Take time to smell the roses, take time to say a prayer,Take time to rest in Jesus, who is always with you there. God Bless
