And if your lamp is full of oil, are you willing to share what you have with those who ran out? Give and it shall be given....
To whom much is given, much is required....
Do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return...
It is more blessed to give than to receive...

If Jesus spoke of those wise virgins and they were selfish, you can guarantee it happens. Not everyone who receives is so willing to give.

Not to worry. If you are truly chosen you will endure. God will see to it. He is so strong, persistent, cannot resist Him. Very persuasive. I love God's POWER. Yes.

Consider this scenario:
Christian with the knife at throat denies Christ in order to live.
Question: will this denial of Christ cost the Christian their salvation?

kathr4453--- How very true. The more trials He brings us through, the greater our faith.

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

I know so many avoid in any way they can trials. However Rev says, Buy of me GOLD tried in the Fire that you may be rich and your nakedness does not show. This verse is toally connected to teh one you bring here 1Pe 1:7!!!

Only by the "POWER" of God, do I stand.

God tests our faith so we can PROVE HIS faithfulness.

Paul said when I am weak...THEN I am Strong.

I therefore will glory in my weakness that the POWER of God will rest upon me.

Even if we falter, HE IS FAITHFUL!

"Will your faith endure as times get darker?"
I look to Jesus, the author and finisher of faith.
Knowing that the privilege and the ability to exercise that faith is of Him.
"Is your lamp full of oil?"
His "word [is 'The'] lamp unto my feet, and ['The'] light unto my path".
That word is always filled with the Inspiration and insight that only He can provide.
"Having done all, are you ready to stand?"
It is Father Who enables me to stand. For as it is written,
"Let him who thinks he stands, take heed lest he fall."
The basis for my beliefs. Hbr 12:2>Psa 119:105>1Cr 10:12, The source, His Spirit.

Mat 26:34-35 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
2Pet 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness
1Cr 1:9 God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1Cr 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Not only will my faith endure, my TRUST in God is enduring also. He is my strength, that is enduring. The Sword of the Spirit is still enduring.

I think my lamp is full of oil, but realized after spending hours in the word over this past weekend, that I wasn't as filled as I would like to be.

YES - ready to stand. Are you ready to wait on the Lord? Trust in Him with ALL of your heart when the tribulation hits? Are you on His side? Aren't you glad you're not enemies with God during these days and the ones to come?
---Donna5535 on 4/19/10

YES!My faith always goes on with God.

My faith is from God. My faith is in God.
Therefore the question becomes will God endured?

Faith has been my stay in life my entire life and I'm 71 years old. As soon as I could learn to pray my Mama taught me how to,not only pray, but trust God. I was only 11 when I gave my life to the Lord and commited to serve God and every year my faith grows stronger not weaker. You see that is the difference in being religious and being a true child of God every day with the Lord God All Mighty gets beter and better. I would never quit my family on Earth and I won't quit my Spiritual family either. I'd never like living like a usual human being without any Spiritual move from God in my life. Faith only dies if the person stops living it.
