Why would a woman who says she is a Christian praise God for a new man in her life when she is living in sin with him?
---KarenD on 5/21/10

You have to ask?

Proverbs 24:32
Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

What's Up May?
-----Blog Question.

What up in May?
Prayer for all of you with affliction and trouble. My GOD bless you through whatever experience you are going through. May he bless you through whatever experiences you have gone through.

Psalm 106:44
Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:

Job 36:15
He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
---Trav on 5/18/10

Trish, you are right. It does seem that God allows us to go through hard things to later bring us to a greater understanding of God in our lives, to later witness to others what we went through. Through my own separation in 1990 and the works He did in our lives to bring us back together, my wife and I were able to go to many conferences for couples to speak on how God came into our lives. At one conference in Gilroy Ca. there was about 100 couples. When I begin speaking about what happen to us, many began crying. I was shocked to see the impact our testimony had on all of them who were already having trouble in their marriage. After prayer the man made a new committment to their wives. Hugging and crying together.
---MarkV. on 5/18/10

MarkV,

I have mentioned a few things in my life. I have also had to endure hurricanes, floods, and one earthquake, but nothing shakes you as hard as abuse and neglect.

Everybody focuses on deception in the Garden of Eden. People often dismiss the abuse of God's Word and the neglect of each other that ensued. I contend that this is the beginning roots of abuse. That is, taking one's sin and putting them on another.

It is hard for abuse victims to communicate, so most live in a silent prison often repeating the same egregious behavior.

I thank God that you have also found our Savior or shall I say He found us.

Thank you for being a broken vessel for the Lord. I pray for you too.

This is my first year to have any plants growing outside. One of my peonies, Attar Of Roses, has a large red rose on it, really cool. And when I watered the sweet cicely in the garden, also called garden myrrh, I could smell the scent of licorice from it, that is really cool. And I seen a little itsy bitsy baby praying mantis in the large part of sweet cicely out at my back door, really cute.

Mark and Joseph, God allows our trials for a reason. Why one person's trials would be one way, while another's another way is all for a reason. I believe it has to do with allowing us to minister to people who suffer similar trials, all for His glory. I have been through mine, and now minister to all sorts of women who have been similarly treated and are now struggling. In God's world, nothing is wasted, not even our trials.
---Trish9863 on 5/18/10

Aka, I do not know how I could take what happen to you personally. I'm sorry you went through all you did. And by the way, you can vent anything here on this blog. I went through a lot but nothing like you. My mom would leave my sister and I in peoples houses for months. People abused us when we were with them. It was hard but nothing like what you went through. My case was nothing compare to yours.
---MarkV. on 5/17/10

mich33754....I want to meet a good single man. How did you meet your new husband? It is so hard to find a good husband now days.
---Singlemother on 5/17/10

MarkV, I am glad that you did not take it personally. You earlier response just gave me a platform to shout for those silent ones who can't or just have given up.

Do you mean car or mom?
---aka_joseph on 5/17/10

I need to explain to you people that this man who's living with me is my husband. However, he ceased being my husband when I became aware of what he is. Only on paper, still my husband. I felt like I should clear this up. Thank you.
---catherine on 5/17/10

Aka, I am so sorry all this things happened to you. I believe when we think, we have it hard in our lives, we forget others, like you, Tom2, Darline, Trish and many others, have had it harder. Our own pains become less of a pain. I'm so glad that you found Christ through all this. I have prayed for you and others today, praise be to God in the highest.
Are you kids still with you? And how are they taking all this?
---MarkV. on 5/17/10

Thank you all for the prayers. I am better but still not completely over the coughing which goes with asthma and allergies in me. Please pray for my husband he has a cough which kept him awake last night,he still works at age 77 so thats hard not to sleep and get up in the morning and go to work. Trish,I think its wonderful you are sewing for the little one. I have been wishing so much I was still able to sew and could make short sets for the greatgrandchildren. Of course with the back pain and migraines I probably wouldn't get much done so I won't even try.
---Darlene_1 on 5/17/10

2. //Cars can be taken care of but humans cannot afford to lose any parts... Pray everything turns out ok for you.//

To those who claim Christ, get off your knees and keypad and visit those who are in prison. Cant you see that this world is the prison? and you do not need to go to a prison to visit those who are in prison? There are millions of prisoners locked in vicious circles.

Get out of your comfort zones and help one person in need. Whether this pays off for you in this lifetime is no matter. It will when it really matters.

The prayers are said and the cars are of no consequence, but your (pl) actions are.
---aka_joseph on 5/17/10

1. //Cars can be taken care of but humans cannot afford to lose any parts... Pray everything turns out ok for you.//

I broke my neck when I was 5. At 32, I had a benign tumor that caused a stroke. I could not see, walk, or talk. I have been in need or needy for most of my life for one reason or another. I finally started to get on my own feet at 37, and then 8 years later, I was financially destitute and was left with three small ones.

My whole life, I rejected the Gospel, not because of Jesus, but because of the people who claimed Jesus. When God finally made me realize that I was spiritually poor in every way, that's when I could see...
---aka_joseph on 5/17/10

Here is what's up in this prophets household! God has placed me now for nearly five years with a man who has a reprobate mind. God tells me that he is the craziest I Will ever come across. There has been so many times that I thought I would absolutely lose it and not make it. However, God has kept me. And God has helped me. And God has gotten me through each and everyday. So, do not be telling me what I ought to be a doing. because later on in this life I am going to do some things that will make Satan angry enough to kill me. At times, my life as a prophet of the living God, has been torture. Physically and mentally. Plus, these afflictions. I want to know what are God's people a doing out there???

Rod4him, You sound like you are having a great time there. I did not know you were going to stay that long. If I go, my trip will not be that long but maybe a week. I do not think I can be away from my bed for that long. I enjoy going places, but I love when we are ready to come home. I miss my home.
Take in all you can with your trip. I wish I lived close to where you live so that I could see the movies you are going to bring back. Blessings and be careful out there, peace

Aka, I'm glad you are ok. Cars can be taken care of but humans cannot afford to lose any parts. Praise God you are ok and that everyone else is ok. Country music is all about Rigs, on the road stuff, and people's troubles. Sorry to hear about yours. Like everything else in life, everything will pass and you will look at that accident as a part in your past. Pray everything turns out ok for you.

MarkV, yes, I just came back from a self guided tour of the Temple Mount, taking lots of videos. I saw a gate open to access the Eastern-Golden Gate area and had to get out. Oh, well, I tried.
We are staying near the Jaffa Gate and walked to the Mount and came back through the Western Wall area.
I will be taking some archeaology and geography classes starting next week through The University of the Holy Land, three weeks in Israel, two weeks in Jordan, and then five weeks on my own, with my wife.
I may stay up to three months, passports are good for 90 days.
This is my third trip here, so I am feeling more comfortable.

Hello, all

I was just in a bad wreck on the interstate, and I just got home. Nobody was injured. Please pray for us and the other driver and her family.

Thank you.

P.S. That is my only car, my insurance is not comprehensive, and I do not have much money. Any leave that I take now is leave-without-pay because the flood and single parent issues. (Are there any country writers here? :~)

P.P.S. God is great! He is constantly showing me how far he has brought me along with His Righteousness and with the Strength and Comfort of His Spirit.

Miche, I will pray for you and others. I remember when I first heard of a child abducted in Fairfield Ca., her name was Nicky. I begin to pray for her return, then there was another and another and pretty soon they turned out to be five that I knew about. I prayed for them for ten years with no results. I kind of gave up on them and I felt so bad later when I remembered them again. I knew the parents needed closure and I prayed that God would bring closure to the families, and that those murderers would get caught or die. Only God knows what is going on but we need to bring them again to prayer. Many children all over are been taken. Please pray for them everytime you think of praying for someone.

Please be praying for me.
My last day at my current job is Friday(tomorrow). I know that God has already opened another door for me since he knew this one would shut. Please pray that I find it.
I am also lifting All of you up in pray.
Markv, I pray God just blesses you for the work you are doing with women who have breast cancer!
Darlene, I pray God takes control of that cough and it won't plague you anymore.
Trish, praying that you won't be another with that horrible cancer that took my grandmother.
Tom2, praying for you too, brother.
And you, Catherine!
---miche3754 on 5/13/10

I know there is many others who need prayer and its ok to ask for prayer. I have been praying for 14 sisters who have breast cancer and have kept them in prayer for over 15 years. Only one sister past away two years ago. Once every six months I prayed together with a sister who had breast cancer at my work, and every time she had to go for her test she was always worried so we prayed before she went for the test. I understand it is very hard to not know how the test will show and they all need our support and our prayers. Please join any group, so many need our help. Thanks.

There is a whole lot of growling going on around here! You see, I have three cats. Two girls and one boy. The third darling cat has just joined us. The boy cat, he is pretty big, well, he is doing a lot of spitting at the new-comer. I have named her,"Little One"....I like cats. Man, God is surely a helping me. In-fact it was God who coached into allowing this long-haired beautiful cat entrance into my home. "Try it and seeee", He said. I said, "Okay".

I am also under the weather today...my stomach is upset for some reason. I could use prayer as well.

MarkV thank you for thinking of me and for your prayers. You are right about alergies right now,I usually have trouble Spring and Fall Texas is bad for allergies. Sorry to hear you do too,my prayers are with you. I saw the doctor and he believes the cough is a result of the asthma, and allergies and the sore throat may be a viral infection. He gave me a shot of cortisone and said I should gargle salt water or over-the-counter mouthwash with antibacterial properties. Now I wait and see if the treatment worked. I am very glad it isn't something more seious. Thanks again. God Bless ,PS I thank anyone else who prayed for me too.

Darline, I am always thinking of you. For a long time I have prayed for you, and will continue to pray for you. This cough you have for about three years is similar to what I have. It just doesn't seem to go away permentently. It goes and comes back. I believe right now the alergies are very high and they are bothering the breathing of so many. I never use to have alergy problems but I do now. I pray the doctrors can do something to help you. Thinking of you,

Please pray for me today I am sick. I have an appointment at 12:40 with my doctor to get help. I have a sore throat, coughing, and pain in my upper chest when I cough. I've had a cough which comes and goes for about three years and never gave it much thought since I have asthma which does that to me. My asthma inhaler doesn't do much good for opening up my breathing right now either. God Bless

Trish --- Been there, done that, praying never again. It's maddening to be left hanging when there is a possibility you have cancer.
No matter the results, you will be grateful for these tests in the long run. (I'm a 6 year breast cancer survivor)
I'll pray there is nothing seriously wrong and that you have God's peace while you are waiting.

Thanks Alan,

I hope all goes well for your new government and Great Britain will remains Great!
---John on 5/7/10

John ... Our "Government" is usually just one party, with the others forming the Opposition.

All the parties together sit in Parliament.

We only have two viable parties, Labour & Conservative, That is usually ... but now, Labour, having fewer seats that the Conservatives, are trying to form a Coalition with the LibDems.

That means that the samll of the three main parties, the LibDems, with a fraction of the MPS, can in fact call the tune!
---alan8566_of_uk on 5/7/10

Thanks Alan, sometimes it hard to get it right across the pond here.
It's seems good you have many viable parties in your government. We have really just two and most Americans say it is really just ONE party system, since the Democrats and Republicans are becoming indistinguishable.

That is why there's much unrest here. We don't have a party that represent us (The American People)anymore. Whether its Obama or Bush. In reality they are all the same. It is nothing more than a Power Grab, the bigger the government the more power these politicians have. Our elections are pretty much fixed, we can only vote on the candidates THEY give us.

We have becomes subjects and not citizens. Maybe we should call back King George!

---John on 5/7/10

John ... You seem to have a lot of wrong information about UK politicalo parties!

Tories are the Conservative Party ... which is Right or Cewntre/Right ... certainly not as right as your Republican Party

Labour ... and maybe they will be able to cling to power even though they have fewer seats than the Conservative ... and Socialist, but noit Communist

BNP are extreme Right wing, and have many racist views in common writing the Nazis

Lib Dems are between Conservative and Labour and don't really have a consistent policy!

Thanks Alan.

I was at a coffee house and someone said the BNP were Nazis. I didn't put weight in what he said since he was a liberal. Figure he was just name calling.

Maybe I need to read up before I endorse what I thought were Tories.

Thanks for enlightening me!

The news said it looks like we will have a deadlock Parliament with no majority. If I remember from High School that means Brown can still hold his seat and call for a confidence vote.

Is that correct?

AND my kids love him!
He has 3 kids too, and I love them so much! Now we are like one big happy family.
All that is left is for God to bless us with a vehicle big enough for all of us to travel together, LOL!

miche3794 & Tom2 I can relate to your pain. My Grandma was my Sunday school teacher when I was a child and spent the weekends with the grandparents and weeks in the summer. They took me to church with them Saturday night and Sunday morning and I loved going to the services in that little Pentecostal Church. They were very strict in their beliefs so when Grandma had Alzheimers and she began to cuss it was a hard thing for me to see. It does terrible things to people its almost like it steals their souls and removes the very essence of who they are. She lived to be 94 years old. The last few years with a feeding tube in,unable to talk or know who we were.

miche3794, I can empathise with you,my dad died 9 years ago at 87,the last 4 years or so he had alzshimers bad to the point of being violent. But I remember when it first started and he cried at a family reunion because he didn,t know who I was.I told him when he finally realized I was his son that I knew who he was,and we talked for awhile,he was sooooo upset.reassuring them that they are loved always, but who can relate?unless you have first hand experience?my keys have been hiding from me for years, and my shoes, and when I watch a movie on tcm sometimes I believe my remote is directly from hell.

Miche3754:

It is good to know that I'm not the only person who has had to confront "rude" questions from Christians. Here are some that I've had thrown at me:

What? Your parents are Catholic?

Really? You have relatives living in San Francisco?

You're a Christian and you're not a Republican?

You don't believe that God told George W. Bush to invade Iraq? You must be listening to the devil.

And so on . . .

Forgive "rude" questioners and move on. God doesn't want us to get involved in stupid arguments. And I mean STUPID ones at that. Do your "best" to ignore them.

Well Trish, the planet is angry everywhere with extreme weather phenomena, attempts to wipe out Christianity have never been stronger, Christians remain unprepared to defend the faith and rely on cultural political arguments instead of discernment.

This is why I asked the question. You say that "the feds" are taking your dad's house because he owed taxes. Yet, in the next sentence comment that he left enough money to buy a house for you. Why didn't "our government" get paid the money they were owed out of the money your dad left? You're worried about your daughter, but have time to get involved with a new man.

Miche, I can empathize with your struggles with your adolescent child. I raised a son who teetered on the edge of being locked up many times. He had his brush with the law, but did not end up incarcerated. When he was 19, he did get arrested for drug possession. It is hard. I would repeatedly tell him that there was nothing he could say or do that would make me stop loving him. I love him to pieces. Now, as a young adult, he lives on his own, and has had his share of trials. I still tell him I love him. I am trusting that he will return to a loving relationship with the Lord.

Lord willing, my wife and I will leave in 1 week for 6 weeks in Israel and 2 weeks in Jordan. Should be interesting...

Still dealing with my teenage daughter and her antics!
Wish I could get Kath's email so I can talk with her about it.
My daughter is driving me insane. She has been in county detention, Seems to be getting better but still has her times where she doesn't want to listen. ALL this while I am trying to move out of my parents house(the feds are coming to get it because dad owed taxes). Thank the Lord Dad left money enough for me to purchase a place for me and my kids.
Also, FINALLY met a great man. But that is for later.

Hi Donna. I am having a lot of nuisancey health issues that have me off the computer more than on. I appreciate you asking about me. Could use prayer for the health stuff.

Thanks,
