Look on down to verse 17, God's plan. Then look at verse 18>>>Condemnation: is reserved for the one believth not---you must understand, please, you cannot have the saving type believing, without the "New Birth". There are only two kinds of people in the world, and it is not black, white, yellow, brown. Two kinds of people: [1] those who have everlasting life as a result of faith in Christ [2] and those who have not believed, because of Satan and as a result stand condemned already. They are already sentenced [condemned] and await on the execution of that sentence....Christ as the light is rejected by a dark world. Pitch dark, black world, because their deeds were evil.

Trav, very good scripture references you posted which show God's love being expressed to all who will receive him, ...
---Eloy on 6/3/10

Many does not mean All. Neither does chosen.
GOD can and will do as he wants. Whether a denom doctrine likes it or not.
There is freedom away from the seminary/cemetary. There is freedom from worry in a just GOD, that does what he says, not what the denoms would like for him to say. GOD's way is easier, his yoke is light.

Matthew 22:14
For MANY are called, but few are chosen.

Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are AFAR OFF, even AS MANY as the LORD our God shall call.
---Trav on 6/4/10

Trav, very good scripture references you posted which show God's love being expressed to all who will receive him, and there are also scriptures which profess his absolute hatred against those who oppose him. But I will add that my words are no opinion of mine, but rather they are factual truth, for Jesus says that those who reject him he rejects.
---Eloy on 6/3/10

ger.toshav, God not desiring anyone to perish does not mean the same thing as noone perishes. For God also says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." And again, "God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap." And again the Lord God says, "Depart from me, all you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. And these will go away into everlasting punishment: but the Righteous into life eternal. The Son of man will send forward his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity, and will cast them into a furnace of fire: there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
---Eloy on 6/3/10

ger.toshav:

Don't reject God just because some people who are self-appointed spokesmen for him make him out to be evil.

(There is an old saying "I have nothing againsg God - it's just his fan club I can't stand!")

Trav, God gave his ony Son to die on the cross for man in order to save man: The Lord God Jesus laid down his life for all who will receive him. ---Eloy on 6/2/10

Very good scripture you gave to back your opinions.
Matthew 22:14
For MANY are called, but few are chosen.
Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are AFAR OFF, even AS MANY as the LORD our God shall call.
Jeremiah 46:27
But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from AFAR OFF, and thy seed from the land of their captivity, and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
---Trav on 6/2/10

Everyone cna be saved.
But God came to save us from our sins, not in our sins. So he would have to change his mind to the mind of christ.
---francis on 6/2/10

Eloy, those three post of yours are very well put. There is a hell, and many will find it. We need to continue spreading the good news of the gospel. Bringing the Truth of Scripture to as many as we can. God will take care of the rest.
---MarkV. on 6/2/10

Trav, God gave his ony Son to die on the cross for man in order to save man: The Lord God Jesus laid down his life for all who will receive him. This is not a terrorism, but love: and all whom reject this Salvation do so onto their own condemnation, and these antiChrists will come to know the true terror of the Lord for their rejection of him.
---Eloy on 6/2/10

Eloy, thanks for the advice. I see your god is above all a terrorist. Not much difference between your god and the god of Islam.
---ger.toshav on 6/1/10

The GOD you mention was foundationally the same for Isamaels boys and it is Isaacs boys.
Abraham through who which both came.
It is Jacobs messiah that tilts the universe. Ishmaels...messiah...well wasn't/doesn't and is dead.
Eze 37:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones, Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
(Notice....blood is not mentioned)
---Trav on 6/2/10

ger.toshav, the idol of Islam did not become a man and die on the cross for anybody, but Jesus Christ, innocent and holy came to earth and personally died on a cross for sinuous man in order to save man from hell- that is not the mark of any terrorist, but rather the highest form of love shown to a person, for Jesus says, "greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You all are my friends, if you all do whatsoever I command you."
---Eloy on 6/2/10

Good point, ger. Accepting Christ isn't about fire insurance and that is not God's method of drawing man. The gospel (good news) of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the good news. Who wants just fire insurance when a relationship is so much better? God is good even to the ungrateful and He causes it to rain on the just and the unjust (rain is a good thing for the very dry land). It is His goodness that leads a man to repentance (mind change about what brings us into relationship with God). As long as the law is ministered, sin is stirred up, people are condemned, and faith is shut up leaving death to reign.
---Linda on 6/1/10

Eloy, thanks for the advice. I see your god is above all a terrorist. Not much difference between your god and the god of Islam.
---ger.toshav on 6/1/10

ger.toshav, that is your choice to reject salvation and accept damnation, and to spend your eternity in the lake of fire and brimstone, in the most horrible torments along with every wicked antiChrist and antiGod person like Adolph Hitler, Charles Manson, and Satan, and all the wicked demons whom exist only to hate and destroy all people made in God's image. Truly, truly, I say to you, once you are in hell you will never have any escape but only weeping and gnashing of teeth and the smoke of your torment will ascend up for ever and ever.
---Eloy on 6/1/10

For the sake of argument, let us suppose that I truly do talk with God, and that God speaks the truth to me and I likewise speak the truth. God told me once that if people really knew what hell was, then they would be running to the altars and begging him to be saved. For truly truly the Lord God said to me: Hell is this: you take the very worse thing that has ever happened to you in your life, and whatsoever thing that is: like losing a loved one, getting a failing grade, having a horrible sickness, and the like, and multiply this worse thing that has happened to you by one thousand times, and said the Lord, This is hell, and when you are there there is no escape, for you are there for eternity.
---Eloy on 6/1/10

Larry, okay then, if what you say is true, that God is not willing that anyone should perish, then no one will perish, because God always sees to it that his will is done. So I am encouraged. Thanks!

I know I have a reprobate mind and will definitely burn in hell. It is God's will for me because God has predestined me to burn for his glory. So I must accept that with joy. It is his will for most of humanity. It's a great mystery....
---ger.toshav on 5/30/10

Please, please, please don't believe such a lie from the father of lives dear ger toshav, for God is long suffering and not willing that ANY should perish.
What advantage would there be toward the kingdom for you to burn for his glory. Humans praise God for his glory not burn.
---larry on 5/31/10

Catherine, you say that the devil will do nothing before your eyes, so either you are in Heaven or you are not in the battle, I believe that you are not in Heaven yet, but you are in the battle because your efforts are notable. But you will not be impervious. The devil needn't be as cunning with women as with men, this is why he approached Eve and not Adam, so don't be deceived, he'll be about if you continue in the battle. Remember, the devil goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour, no-one is completely out of his way, and God permits this to keep those of us in battle from pre-eminence and becoming boastful - 2 Cor. 12:7. You can expect to be buffeted if you are to become a veteran.
---John_II on 5/31/10

Eloy, thanks for your advice. But in fact I really don't want to spend eternity with you or any of the other self-righteous people here. That would be hell in itself.
---ger.toshav on 5/31/10

"Anyone who is guilty of blaspheming one of God's own thinking they are doing God a favor is in GREAT danger of hell's fires. Let it be a policeman, or a Congressman, A hypocrite or another believer". Yes, I said another believer. Now, these are the words which God has just given me. Please do not show your ignorance. Look up the word blasphemy in your Bible tools....I am a prophet of the living God. I speak only His words as He gives them to me. "As much as you, unbelievers, are causing TROUBLE in this world, lay off my people. Or you have not seen trouble, yet. I am A God who will send the wicked straight to hell, where you belong, along with all the other blasphemers". Hallelujah. God has spoken.

Catherine, if someone were to ask me if I have ever had a supernatural experience, I might say to them, 'if you've never had one, then I've had a tad more than you'. But then I must stop this boasting, for it profits nothing. For it's about proclamation not proof: we believe and we want others to but we do more to dissuade than persuade, and those who are quasi-persuaded will fall away when nothing obviously supernatural happens to them. This is what Paul elaborates on in 2 Cor. 12. Heed not Cluny, who shuts the door to the Kingdom and then tells you to seek the counsel of the ungodly. He's the Pharisee leaning back on the altar being thankful he's not you who are trembling on the back pew with bowed head - and he talks of repentance!
---John_II on 5/31/10

Catherine, as I was sharing my supernatural experiences with my pastor, I reached a point where I realised I was on the threshold, and that maybe I'd put a few things on the wrong side, so I stopped. Another time there was this fellow (at the church we both attended) who shared his experiences with the whole congregation, I marvelled at the similarities in our endurances. But then he crossed that threshold and began to ascribed any and every little thing to being a supernatural experience! I asked God a question out loud once and I actually heard a one-word answer, but it proved misleading, so it wasn't God I heard. For you to receive God's answer with Him not knowing something is misleading you, God knows everything. Test the spirits 1 John 4:1
---John_II on 5/31/10

There's more than adequate proof that the God of the Bible is not giving you things to say, as many of these locutions go against the plain words of Scripture.

And why are you not touching things on this blog (not "bloc"), catherine? You are the one who started it!

\\ I have done blocs on here about how helpless I feel at times in this.\\

This constant feeling of helpless and weariness you're always mentioning COULD be a sign of clinical depression, catherine.

Or there could be a medical reason causing it.

In either case, catherine, you need professional medical help.

PLEASE get it.

Catherine ... Why did you pray to God the save this reprobate man?

Mostly you seem to rejoice in Hell, and in the fact that unsaved people will go to its etrnal flames and torture.

You have praised God that hell exists, and you did not even seem to be sad that you father (or was it your mother) is there.

Just more proof you've been listening to an impostor, catherine.

Either it's a voice in your own head, in which case you need medicine, or it's a deluding religious spirit, in which case you need to repent.

ger.toshav,

thanks for the verse. It amazes me how many times I can read a verse, and it is just words. But, when the timing is right, the HS through someone else sheds the light that I need for me to soak it up.

Also, thanks for the idea of the period in btween aka and joseph instead of _. it was getting on my nerves.

Linda, thank you for a very good summation for my verbosity.

---catherine on 5/26/10

Paul says that people are reconciled to God while they are still his enemies (Rom.5:10). So of course reprobate people are saved.
---ger.toshav on 5/26/10

Thank you, aka_Joseph. There is a principle there: you don't see things they really are when you judge. You see things the way you are. It's the mirror effect.
---Linda on 5/26/10

I totally agree with Mima. God doesn't have to give anyone a second, third, or more chances. God can't make anyone come to him. But when God gives a person chances after chances and they still don't come to him for salvation, then God won't knock at their hearts door any longer, he'll work one someone else.

The definition of reprobate come from the Lord. Our assessment in not necessary for Him to judge.

Many who do great things in His name will be turned away, a few who ask to be remembered even though they did little for Him accept acknowledge Him in front of another are saved.

With that said, I ask, can a woman with an unforgiving heart who is not willing to see the truth despite the Truth be saved? And, if God talked to me so much, why would I waste my time asking for man's opinion?

Try applying what you read and judge others on and I think you will not see a reprobate man or mean church people.

Show him the love of God that's resident in you Catherine (not condemnation) & see what God is able to do in the man's life.
---Leon on 5/26/10

I do not believe so. The Bible says that it's God that turns a man over to a reprobate mind and once turned over I do not believe the Holy Spirit will ever again witness(or quicken the man's spirit) to that man and therefore salvation is impossible for the man to obtain.

Catherine, your understanding of salvation is wanting. You can't get any one saved, God had to chooses them that was done prior to creation. Go read the first chapter of Ephesians again. Reprobation means they were rejected by God. I is a done deal no one but no one can change their status with God he had total foreknowledge of who would select and reject him [it's you free will in advance]. All evangelism can accomplish is making people aware of their salvation by grace at an earlier stage of their life and that only applies to God's chosen elect.

If God did not want you is just tough cookies.
