The trees of life is>>>the fruits of their piety and charity, their instruction, reproofs, examples, and prayers, and their interest in heaven, and their influence upon earth are like the fruit of that tree. There is your answer right there. God is speaking of His very own people>>>they are the ornaments of paradise, GOD'S CHURCH ON EARTH.....The wise are the tree of knowledge. He who is wise wins souls by communicating His wisdom. Those that would win souls have need of wisdom to know how to deal with them.

Legend,
-Jesus is the tree of Life-
I second that-in agreement.
Amen.

The reward, payoff or outcome for a person found righteous is to eat from the tree of life. The tree of life is just that,a tree of life.

The verse says FRUIT of Righteousness correct. Are WE not to bear FRUIT? Only those IN CHRIST can bear FRUIT. It also says is A tree of life..not THE tree of Life.

Souls won are also FRUIT..the fruit that comes from the WISDOM given us In Christ.

Tree of apples would be a tree that produces apples. Tree of plums... plums.
Tree of Life is the tree that produces Life.
1st Adam's family tree produced death from Adam downward.
Jesus' family tree produces Life. Jesus said, "I... am the Life."
The apostles taught that JESUS, who knew no sin, was made sin so that we could become the "righteousness" of God in Him(Christ).
Jesus was the only "righteous". Scripture states, "There is none righteous... not one".
He won our souls through the cross.
Pardon if I'm wrong. But I say JESUS is the answer. JESUS is the TREE!

'The' Tree of Life represents the foundational firmness of the eternal position granted the faithful in Christ. Having the Spirit of the Father as The Root, and Jesus as The vine or supporting trunk of the tree.
"What is this tree of life refered to here?"
Wisdom received via Father's Direct Divine Inspiration, The solid foundation and source by which the "fruit of the righteous" is produced and brought forth.
For wisdom Is " 'a' tree of life to those who take hold of her." And a "wholesome tongue" is her offshoot.

There are two things in the text, and these are laid out in its two parts. The first is the life of the believer, which ought to be full of soul blessing "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life." In the second part, the pursuit of the believer ought always to be soul winning. The second is much the same as the first, only the first part sets forth our unconscious influence, and the second our efforts in winning souls for Christ.

Forgive me: I wrote righteousness begets righteousness but neglected to mention that righteousness is only possible through Jesus Christ. See, I'm not perfect. Sorry!

"I think the tree of life is the tree of eternal life."

This statement by---aka.joseph I believe is the answer.

I think the tree of life is the tree of eternal life. The reason why it had to be guarded was so that Adam and Eve could not enter into eternity in a sinful condition.

Then, Jesus had to come to us in flesh, and die on a tree, rise above eternal death, so that you and I could have life eternal not in a sinful condition.

(An aside - Isn't that why there are some "christian" groups that argue against the deity of Jesus, also deny Him as Savior, and try to insist that he died on a stake instead of being nailed to a tree?)

This post."The term is a metaphor for a person who spends life showing Christ to a non-believing world, drawing sinners to salvation. The righteous man or woman produces works and deeds that draw the lost unto Christ, like a lighthouse on a dark night. Thus, his life produces the fruit that results in the winning of souls."
---Jonathan on 6/10/10

Is very very enlightening.

The righteous>>>man is a source of life to many. I love wisdom, I don't like fools. Oh my God, Oh my God. By the power of His holy Spirit and example. The wise man gains many souls for wisdom's battle against fools. The company of the wise shall be recompensed by God for their mis-deeds. How much more shall the wicked and the sinner. How much more, this is the hypocrites: "Now, now, you know God loves you, you know Jesus loves you. I think I AM gonna be sick. I preach because my mom is in hell, I blame the false preachers. Receive a deserve retribution for their sins.

John 15 v 5. Jesus Christ Is the vine & like the tree (even the roots, tree-trunk.) We are the branches & without Him we can do nothing.

The tree of Life is Jesus Christ and it is through Him that we are righteous
---Haz27 on 6/10/10

The result of a righteous life is LIFE. Righteousness begets righteousness & righteousness is life.

And yet, no forks have ever been found.
If a person would erase anywhere there is a question mark on an evolutionary chart, it would look curoiusly like living creatures were made in 'kinds'. Interesting isn't it?
And people are asking for 'proof' of God. How ironic.

Proverbs 11:30 "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, What is this tree of life refered to here?

Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

I would have to say that those who obey God are called by God righteous and just, it is those who will eat from the tree of life / be saved.

The concept of the tree of life is a many-branched tree illustrating the idea that all life on earth is related and is a metaphor for common descent in the evolutionary sense.
