They promote the Christians are little gods as equal to God. Made in HIS image does not mean made His equal like WOF teachers teach.
Also, Faith in Positive Confessions is the same as Mind control and pagan Metaphysical witchcraft!

Jesus came IN the flesh, not just as a spirit.-Cluny

Yes true. But
What part was cut off at the Cross, Cluny, Spirit or flesh?
Flesh.
What was Left? The Spirit/The Holy Ghost.

Since we are fleshly beings with the Spirit of Christ in us.
The Bible tells us to ....

WALK in the SPIRIT so the we do NOT fulfill the lust of the flesh.
So, we are NOT to do things that feed our flesh-Lust of the eyes, of the flesh and the pride of life.
We are to feed the Spirit of Christ in us.
Romans 13:14 Galatians ch.5, 1 Peter 2:11, 4:2, 1 John 2:16

I believe that people who write these "extra" bibles are adding to the word of God and falling prey to the pride of life.

Kath4453, I agree with you.

That is why I also use a Strong's to do word studies in the original languages of Hebrew, Armaic, and Greek.

One thing I have learned about the WOF is they do not want people to study, 2 Timothy 2:14-19, and they do not want people to follow the example found in Acts 17:11.

\\Cluny, i am sorry if that offends you but Jesus came to establish a new covenant with the spirit not the flesh.\\

Jesus came IN the flesh, not just as a spirit.

The Church is NOT just a "spiritual" entity, because WE are not just spirits.
---Cluny on 7/27/10

Any one who really desires to know the truth should obtain a copy of the original Hebrew, Aramaic(Syriac), and Greek scriptures to read and compare with their English Bible, for not every Bible written is Holy. The English translation for the Old and New Testaments which I prefer is the 1560 A.D. Geneva Bible.

The proof for the invisible church is Hebrews 12:22-24. "But ye are come( PRESENT TENSE) unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly AND church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, ......"

Jesus said MY KINGDOM is NOT of this world...

Col1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: PRESENT TENSE!!!

Col 3: 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. THE INVISIBLE CHURCH..His BODY!!!

Cluny, i am sorry if that offends you but Jesus came to establish a new covenant with the spirit not the flesh. Yes, I believe all of Gods word. Just not the orthodox or rcc view of it. These churches deal in the flesh. Christ does not. He deals with Spirit and putting the flesh under the subjection and obedience of the Spirit.

Rob, what a mess! I think many are doing this, not just WOF people. I know Kay Arthur did, and I was really shocked with that too.

We have so many versions now, and you really need to be so careful even with those. Words not in the original Greek or Hebrew are thrown in.

I always use a Strongs, and study ALL WORDS we use as the same word, but were not all the same word in Greek or Hebrew.

I even caught Kay Arthur in her first book completely destroy a verse not found in any version to base her book and false beliefs( Legalism) on.

I was a baby Christian too. The Holy Spirit is so awesome to let us know truth from lie!

\\I don't believe Christ ever established we were supposed to have one fleshly church....\\

In other words, you don't believe Christ. The whole idea of an invisible/spiritual church is a novelty of the Reformation, as this is the only leg they had to stand on.

\\Do you think we need human commentary or opinion on the Bible, Cluny?\\

St. Paul said, "Keep the traditions you have been taught whether by our word or epistle."

St. Peter said, "NO prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation."

And what means did God used to make clear just what WAS Scripture and what was not? You don't think it dropped down out of heaven already written with a table of contents, do you?
---Cluny on 7/27/10

No.
Cluny, they won't.

I just feel that we as humans have a tendency to inject what we think and feel to our words.

And I know what you are getting at.
But I am not like you or any of the Rcc or orthodox.
I don't believe Christ ever established we were supposed to have one fleshly church but ONE SPIRITUAL church with HIM as the Head.

Do you think we need human commentary or opinion on the Bible, Cluny?
Or should we rely on what God tells us in his word, that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things?

\\Is your faith so frail, miche?
---Cluny on 7/26/10

Nope, I believe in the one true word of God.. THE BIBLE.
I have great faith\\

Then comments made by other people won't lead you astray, will they?

Is your faith so frail, miche?
---Cluny on 7/26/10

Nope, I believe in the one true word of God.. THE BIBLE.
I have great faith.
I believe that the Holy Ghost will teach me ALL things like the word of God says, brother. He says he gives gifts for the perfecting of the church. I have faith that God does this for all of us. I believe that if they are not teaching from the word of God, then they may be false.
The Bible says for us to test the spirits to see if they be true.
I believe God, brother, 100%.

My thoughts: Risky Risky Business that I wouldn't encourage anybody to take lightly: the consequences are GREAT and Eternal for anyone who purposes to "re-write" or/and "change" God's word. It is a Holy Ghost inspired authorship: co-Authors be warned...
(supported by verses: proverbs 30: 5,6
Revelation 22: 18, 19)

\\ think anyone who is selling anything for profit that is selling the Word of God will have to answer on judgment day. This includes self-proclaiming Bible versions, music, books, etc. The Word of God is free.
---KarenD\\

The same Bible you appeal to says that the laborer in the vineyard is worthy of his wages.

Furthermore, paper, ink, binding materials, recording studio time, and the stuff to make CDs do not come free.

So all these materials would have to be paid for, even if the writer/artist didn't charge for his own intellectual work.

\\I was shocked and very surprised to find that one of the founding fathers Thomas Jefferson wrote his own Bible. I discovered this during a trip to his home "Mount Vernon".\\

1. Thomas Jefferson's home is not Mt. Vernon, but Monticello.

2. All TJ did was produce his own censored version of the Bible, removing all references to miracles.

But we've discussed this already on these blogs.

**Some of the old scams were sell common vegetable oil as blessed holy oil**

The selling of sacred objects and offices is called simony, and it's considered a serious sin.

I doubt they are writing their own Bibles.

More likely, they are printing collections of Bible verses (ripped from their contexts) to prove the points they are trying to make.

It could be some are having their own editions of Bibles with study notes THEY have written--or probaby had ghost-written or out-and-out plagiarized, as I doubt that any of them have the insight or even time to do their own notes.

As one person said about the Schofield Bible, the Biblical text throws great light on the notes.

Don't worry about it.

I don't believe in any preacher telling Christians they need to buy that preachers special product. If what the preachers are doing is finding all the verses about faith and puting them all together, then I doubt much harm will be done. If,however, they are putting their own comments and own spin on what those verses mean with them, then I say no. You get knowledge by steadfast study and reference work on that same old Bible you've always had by sticking with the familar things are easier to find. Stay with what you have and study it. Find your answer to faith right there in that precious Word of God in your own Bible. The Holy Ghost or Spirit of truth will lead us to all truth.

Some of the old scams were sell common vegetable oil as blessed holy oil that you applied to areas of pain in in your body and special prayer clothes that you put on your radio while listing to their radio broadcast.

Are they allegedly translating a new Bible translation or just taking a stock AV text and adding their own commentary and margin notes, this is not new either.

Until you want to provide specific names and versions no one can really help you because we are just making will guesses and that is just a wast of time.
