EPHESSIAN 1:4 According as he hath CHOSEN US BEFORE the foundation of the world ( God new who was going to save at the beginnng that includes the OT.

...OT saints are the friends of the Bride. NT saints are the Bride/Church. Tribulation Saints are the invited.
wow so cute although unsupported by Holy Scripture
OT Saints are "friends" - THAT IS A FIRST - then either you are liar or Christ is - Christ STATES He is NOT divided
Abraham THE FATHER OF ALL is a "friend" NOT the Bride?
OT Saints CALLED with NT Saints of which are Israel and Gentiles all GRAFTED into future promise - ALL ARE THE CHURCH who the called out ones and Bride of Christ UNITED not divided ...why religious christianity cannot comprehend pledging allegiance to their BRAND a "church" their building with a street address
there is ONLY ONE resurrection of ALL

If God pre-determined beforehand everyone who will be saved, and everyone who will not be, then all our actions are futile, and will not have any influence on that. So, we might as well "live, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die" (Isaiah 22:13, 1 Corinthians 15:32).
On the other hand, we are constantly seeing God not forcing people to believe, or to be goo, but always giving them the choice (and then holding them accountable for that choice).

People before the physical sacrifice of Jesus got saved the same way we do today. They trusted in the shed blood of Christ. The only difference is they looked forward to the coming sacrifice and we look back at what has been done.
The blood of bulls and goats did not save. They did however point towards the coming perfect sacrifice. Jesus was crucified from the foundation of the world.
There is no difference in the salvation just the dispensation. OT saints are the friends of the Bride. NT saints are the Bride/Church. Tribulation Saints are the invited.
It all occurs because of the Blood of The Lamb. One sacrifice one time forever for the sin of the world.

If God determined from the get-go that some people should never be saved, then Paul is deceiving us when he writes in 1.Tim.2:4 that God wants everyone to be saved. If he does, how do, say, Chinese people get saved who lived before Christ?

Why do you say that The Law means only the 10 Commandments and not the rest of the law of Moses?
And what about gentiles who had never heard of The Ten Commandments nor the rest of the Jewish law?

---earl my inability to answer this question with certainty leads me to accept your answer as given.

God chose all of his elect prior to creation. Jesus just paid for the atonement for the sins of the elect. So it makes no difference if the person lived prior, during, or after Chris,t their atonement has been paid for and YHWH has chosen them to be in the family of God.
Salvation was by invitation only and if you did not make God's list there is nothing you can do about it now.

This is discussed in Hebrews 11.

They All will come before God at the white Throne judgment. Those that did do & those did not do what was expected for them to do under the law. God knows.

The bible says those who lived by the law will be judged by the law, doesn't it?
I'll have to find that scripture.
They will be judged according to the law, the law being the 10 Commandments.

These people lived with a lesser revelation than what we have today.Jesus had not yet revealed himself or revealed his Father in greater illumination prior to his human birth. As man slowly develops in God consciousness he also develops the capacity to understand greater truths of God.There is no punishment for not knowing revelation-greater truth of God before it is presented .
There is a prophecy that states-all men shall be taught by God.Well it happened.Jesus is our personal minister sent by God who he has begotten to perform this task.In addition to God revealing himself God revealed his only begotten son.
