25 years ago I always made sure to have time to watch Fred Price on Sunday morning before leaving for church. As his popularity and wealth grew his gospel changed. As to his being an apostle, from my study of the Bible, an apostle is a believer that was with Christ and called directly by him. Paul meets the bill for he met Christ on the road to Damascus. Fred Price may have been called to preach, as are all believers, but I will state without hesitation that to this point in time he has not met or been directly called by the appearance of the living God. He is not an apostle.
---Harold on 10/19/10

"Word of Faith" Apostle OR "Word of Fake" Teacher? Fred Price is a wealthy Founder of a Mega Church in Urban L.A. CA. He's the Spiritual Son of Kenneth Hagin Sr. Dad Hagin was called the Father of the modern Word of Faith-Prosperity Movement. His questionable teaching came from E.W. Kenyon.

The premise is: Faith is a Force to use to obtain Prosperity & Health.
Prosperity is a Covenant right of believers, esp. those who sow financially to WOF Ministries.

Can they Control the Almighty Sovereign God by positive confessions?
Were we made little gods?
Just made in God's image?
Is this biblical or Metaphysical?
Is this ritualism or relationship w/God?
---Susie on 10/17/10

No, Price is a liar and the truth is not in him. He denies the sovereignty of God and teaches people that man can control and manipulate God and get Him to do what we want Him to do.
---Diakonos on 9/5/10

An Apostle would have to fulfill several qualifications. Obviously, he would have to be a Christian, and in good order within the Church, not a Heretic *1. He would then have meet the standards for a Bishop *2. Mr. Price having violated the rules concerning good behavior, not even having sufficient knowledge of the Lord to be able to teach, is qualified for neither pulpit - nor pew. He like most of the Faith preachers has been properly rebuked, but refuses the Lords discipline, 1Timothy 5:19-22. Just as a note, He believes that God gave him several of his false and gnostic doctrines, which makes him a false prophet!

Glenn, I did not see Frederick K.C. Price's Ordination Ceremony about his becoming a so called APOSTLE OF CHRIST JESUS.

I did read about it. It was totally SICKENING and DISGUSTING.

If people would take the time and study what SCRIPTURE has to say about THE TRUE APOSTLES OF CHRIST JESUS, they would know Frderick K.C. Price is not an APOSTLE OF CHRIST JESUS, but is a FALSE APOSTLE and a SERVANT OF SATAN, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
---Rob on 8/31/10

The spiritually apostemate pseudo-apostle of apostasy. A.k.a. the 'Prophet of Prosperity', and 'Apostle of Faith' (successive - whose Judas?), M.Div., D.Min, PhD. Religious Studies - FICU diploma mill, and a junk honorary D.Div. - Oral Roberts University, Ezekiel 16:24-25.
His installation ceremony seemed odd using such things as the arched great swords, the rank insignia on his vestment, the snake handlers crozier, the key and double dragons tail crook on his badge. They pulled Ephesians 4:11 out of 8-16, oddly forgetting 12-13. He, the consecrators, and those in the audience, should have read 1Timothy 5:22 and disqualified each other. And Clarence McClendon?
---Glenn on 8/31/10

Glenn, there are many false teachers on the market today, themselves unsaved they lead others astray. I have seen this particular TV speaker, and he mixes scripture with worldly philosophies, and you cannot be a pure Christian and also have mongrel truth. For whenever the gospel is mixed with other ideology you no longer have the Christian gospel, but instead you have false doctrine and false religion.

Beware! The Lies of Satan p. 48-49, re Job 1:20-21, "However, what Job said is not a statement of truth. It is truly stated, because it is recorded in the Bible, but it should not be construed as a statement of truth." > Mr. Price, please read verse 22.

Glenn, what you are sharing is the typical FALSE TEACHING of those Word of Faith Teachers/Preachers. These people are "tag teams" who deceive and con people out of their money, Romans 1:18-32.

It is sad so many people are caught up in their scams, but I guess they deserve it because they are getting what they want 2 Timothy 4:3-4, and they refuse to follow the instruction found in 2 Timothy 2:14-19, along with the example found in Acts 17:11.

And Luke 23:43! Mr. Price assumes that some verses that make reference to G86 Hades are to infernal Hell that are not. This means that he was a perfect and sinless substitutionary sin offering for us.
11/16/90, "if it be thy will or thy will be done - if you have to say that, then your calling God a fool." Yesterday while watching television, Frederick K.C. Price was bragging about the $18,000 watch he has.

If someone who claims to be a Christian on television and is doing something wrong, it's proper to call him to account, no matter how successful or spiritual he is. Paul called out Peter to his face when he showed preferential treatment to Jewish converts over Gentile converts.

The Bible warns that many would corrupt the gospel to make money, so when somebody makes a lot of money off the gospel, it's reasonable to take a close look at whether what they are doing is more serving the gospel, or more self-serving - and then call them to account if something seems not right (for example, Benny Hinn begging for $2 million while he lives in a mansion and has a $36 million private jet).

I guess the question in the case of Fred Price is Apostle of what?

Its been years since I've seen Price who was known for lack of humility, noting that riches is proof of great faith, and finally the claim people who got sick lacked faith (until he took very ill).

Lawrence is right, the point is not self-appointed titles, and besides influence is more important than position.

An apostle is one who moves in all Offices of the Holy Spirit. Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher, Prophet and I foget the 5th office.

I have never listened to Fred Price, so I can't answer your question. However, I will say that I have met ONE Apostle since I've been born again in 1983. He moves in all offices of the Holy Spirit and all of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, is like Jesus to the tee (humble, teaches spirit and life, not from his intellect, very compassionate, and the Lord is with him in third world countries where he ministers and performs many miracles and healings).

That to me, is a TRUE Apostle. You gotta meet him, but this month he is in Napal.

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles, and some, prophets, and some, evangelists, and some, pastors and teachers (for and until),

1. for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry
2. till we all come to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ
3. no more children tossed about with every wind of doctrine
4. grow up into Christ

If this has not taken place, there are still apostles (and all the rest of the five-fold ministry). It doesn't take long being here to discover that all the qualifications above have not been met.
---Linda on 8/15/10

part 2
Accusations of childishness, division, no knowledge of the Son of God, immature. One need only to read the Word of God to know whether there are still apostles or not. If apostles have passed away, so have the rest of those mentioned and you wouldn't find a whole hoard of folks here trying to pass themselves off as teachers.
---LindaS on 8/15/10

My spirit is troubled by people who feel they must be seen & heard by ALL people everywhere ~ people who claim exhalted status in the church by their desire to wear lofty "pharisaical" titles. Seems to me this is an issue of PRIDE & shouldn't be found in God's church. "Everyone" in Jesus' church should have a spirit of humility & exhalt HIM (God) only. (Pv. 16:18-19)

there is so much disagreement between believers, thats why we have all the denominations within the church. Bottom line is only God knows the heart, but we can discern some facts.I truly believe that signs and wonders follow true apostles of christ, very little happens today in that area because the majority arent true apostles.price is a extremely big advocate of prosperity,he beklieves we can all ask God for wealth and receive it,problem is he is speaking of wordly wealth, money ,possessions, property, etc.A true apostle knows wealth is spiritual, look at the lives of the original twelve apostles, none were wealthy, and all died for their faith in christ.

Are people who are constantly looking to find fault and then spend a lot of time spreading that fault to promote strife accusers of the brethren and thus on the side of the enemy? I haven't been here long but much of what I see amounts to nothing more than opinionated gossip and attempts to verify those opinions by taking sides. If your brother is overtaken by a fault, you go to him first and restore him in a spirit of meekness lest you also be tempted. If he doesn't listen, take him before the elders.
