Lemonade you can have for free. Do I serve a great God, or what! Hallelujah....Take a lemon cut it, slice it, or whatever, and place it in ice in a bowl put it in the refrigerator. You can use it for fish or ice tea. When you get down to a couple of slices, you have lemonade. Put sugar in it. Americans just loves free stuff. Salvation is free.

Sorry for Shira's loss of a good friend. It's hard to take.
My tip would be if you have a cat, use the heel of your hand or your fist to hit all 4 wheel-wells of your vehicle, before you drive away. Hopefully you will startle a snoozing kitty if one is hiding there.
---Donna66 on 10/6/10

i thank God for my companion Babygirl(cat) she is a lot of company to me, she gets me up in the morning at 7:00 AM and at night she herds me to bed or tries to at 11:00 i think she must be on a timer lol. Tip of the day don't underestimate pets they own us we don't own them.
---Lea on 10/6/10

Well, my cat got run over by a family member. I don't have to buy food or liter. I really miss my cat. I had her for 18 years.

We had Four-o-clock flowers come up in our yard, just a few the first year and we nurterd them, watered, and enjoyed the pretty pink flowers they display late in the day. The first year was a small patch, now they have spread over a big part of the front yard and we don't have to mow there anymore. That is the tip, plant a yard full of flowers and you wont have to mow your yard all summer and have beautiful flowers blooming brightly to please the eyes.

You think we are the trouble-makers? God is the real trouble-maker!
---catherine on 10/3/10

Well, that would constitute animal abuse, Elder! Ha.
---catherine on 8/19/10

Would it work if we didn't feed the cats at all? Then the litter would last forever.
---Elder on 8/19/10

John 3:5 Jesus Christ said, "Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."

We must have the baptism of water and receive the Holy Spirit. If we have water baptism only, it is not enough. We need to pray for the Holy Spirit until He reveals Himself to us and leads us from now on.
---Betty on 8/19/10

If you have cats, feed them less. Your litter will last longer. Less cleaning, too. Also, Turn off hot-water heater until you are ready for a bath. Only takes a couple of minutes to heat up. In cleaning house, pick-up as you go through your house. It is amazing how neat it will stay.

Try placing ice tea in coke bottles and freezing them. You will have a very tasty icy. Drinking from a straw makes even water taste better. Freeze water in bottles, cure from the summer heat.

OUR LOVING FATHER....You may not know. So many times answers to my prayers amazes me, man. His answer is, "they will be punished", or "you hang aloof". Those are the answers that I get from my loving Father, Jesus Christ....When it comes to my enemies. He is real big on "wait and see what I do". Sometimes, I'll ask Him what are you gonna do? Sometimes I'll SAY, NOOOO I WANT HIM OR HER SAVED. I know enough about God's wrath, you see. Sometimes I'll say "When". It all depends on God's moods and mine. "Save them, what are you gonna do, or when". My God is always on my side and not my enemies.
---catherine on 8/16/10

Lets all pray for somebody today. Especially, someone, who has hurt, wounded or harmed us in some way. Try to release the hurt, pain and/or anger. Resolve to show love/forgiveness as Our father requires us to do. A hard lesson, indeed. But one that can be done with Jesus' help.
---Robyn on 8/16/10

My tip of the day is: A soft answer turns away wrath. How many of us live by that scripture?

Take care not to be taken in with others views of what the Bible says and means. Study to show yourself approved. Study the Bible for yourself, rightly dividing the Word of Truth for yourself. See if opinions line up with the Bible, all of it not just a few verses. God's way, will, and wants for his people are in the Bible and you need to follow God not man. Matthew 7:7 & 8 Ask and it shall be given you, knock and it shall be opened unto you, seek and you shall find. For everyone who asks receives,he that seeks, finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. Always look to God for all your answers, not man.

cliff, That was really funny. I like that.

Sometimes demonstrations help, sometimes not: IE
Pastor brought 4 jars to church with 4 worms.
1st bottle he put a worm in alcohol
2nd bottle he put a worm in tobacco smoke.
3rd bottle he put a worm in chocolate syrup
4th bottle he put a worm in soil!
1st,2nd 3rd bottles the worms were dead.
4th bottle worm was alive.
"What lesson do we learn from this",he asked.
Older lady in the back answers "If you drink, smoke and eat chocolate you'll never get worms"??

Please bear with me and let me explain more about this yard-work! Do you realize how much you might pay for a cactus, well God gave me one for free. Cut down what may cause you hay fever. God has also given me some pine trees which has just sprung up. Cut the grass around all of it you can have a very nice yard and not pay a fortune to have it. MY GOD IS GOOD MY GOD IS GREAT. Try Him and try His goodness and it's all free. Hallelujah. The more stuff that you can leave alone the less work you will have to do. No special care. God will do it.

Tip of the day -- "God is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers." 1.Tim.4:10
---ger.toshav on 8/15/10

Well, I need to make a correction. It's not pine trees but cedar trees. I do no have to worry with the pine needles.
---catherine on 8/15/10

Catherine, Some of our neighbors have "natural" lawns (same as you describe) but it makes their property look "abandoned" and some of those pretty yellow flowers cause hay fever ,and becomes the home of a myriad of unwanted little creatures!
My advice....do the yard work! Neat and tidy's better IMHO.
Not a criticism just a suggestion!

Say Thank you Jesus for something today. He really likes it when we thank him, and we really mean it.
---Eloy on 8/15/10

Here's one: To cut back on yard-work, Allow the free flowers to come out, which God provides. And let bushes grow, some are very beautiful. I'm serious. Every morning when I sit out on my deck I enjoy the pretty blue flowers up against my home. You will be amazed at how little yard-work you will have to do, if you will only leave God's beautiful stuff alone.

If you want to make large posters for kids to color for VBS or Children's Church, etc., use an overhead projector and project the imagine that you want on butcher paper hung on the wall. You can outline the picture and the kids can color it.
