Oh dear! Even though a pedant, I cannot spell "make" properly!
---Pedant on 10/1/10

If you think you know the day, its evidence you have been deceived by a seducing spirit.
---JackB on 10/1/10

Ah Mike the web, it must be true!

There is another group of religious wing nuts who say Judgement Day is October 21, 2011. Can you two get your stories straight and get back to us?

Watchtowner Jehovah's Witness cult members are still trying to explain how they've been wrong every decade since its first prediction of Judgement Day in 1874.

Other hilariously silly predictions are of course 2012 up through 2047.

Its nice to know that though Christ does not know you do.

God help us.

2 PETER 3:2 KNOWING THIS FIRST, that there shall come scoffers, walking after there own lust.
3:4 AND SAYING Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
3:5 FOR THEY ARE WILLING IGNORANT of, that by the word of GOD the heavens were of old,and the earth. standing out of the water
3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water perished
3:8 BUT,BELOVED BE NOT IGNORANT OF THIS ONE THING that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Ignatius ... before you take krish up on his spelling, you should take care with what you write to makle sure it makes sense.

//In either case ....// ???

In either case ... that needs two cases ... what two cases are your referring to?

But on the question of the dates, Jesus told us not to try and guess the time.
---Pedant on 10/1/10

"
We have less than 8 months left on this earth. There are multi-millions of people around the world who has come to the same date by researching from the bble." (krish)

How can you expect us to take you seriously when you can't even spell "Bible" correctly?

In either case, you are a false prophet, and May God have mercy on your soul.

In IC.XC.,
---Ignatius on 10/1/10

We have less than 8 months left on this earth. There are multi-millions of people around the world who has come to the same date by researching from the bble. The Rapture and Judgement Day is on May 21, 2011 and the End of the Universe is on October 21st, 2011.

May Lord have mercy on us all

Mike: I'll make you a deal. If the world does not end on May 21, 2011, then you send me $1000 on May 22, 2011. If it does end on the 21st, then I'll send you $2000 on the 22nd.

Deal?
---jerry6593 on 9/22/10

I hope that none of you take this stuff seriously.

How many "prophets" and "elect" people have set the date in the past?

It only makes Christ and his followers look like fools when the dates are proven wrong.
I still believe people who spread such things are not working according to the Holy Ghost.

If the Lord Jesus Christ didnt even know when He would be sent back, then his followers wont know either.
---JackB on 9/22/10

although the rapture fairy tale is unsupported by Holy Scripture Judgement Day is ONLY known by The Father in Heaven

you believe the articles on the web RATHER THAN Holy Scripture???

Christ stated no one knows the day or hour and even HE did not know

Christ lied and the internet articles speak truth?

gosh darn it just toss out that old worn out book INSPIRED by The Father in Heaven and lets all go join the internet writers new-age thought process ...are they Jim Jones followers? do they have spiked kool aid too
---Rhonda on 9/21/10

Mike, I am going to be busy that day. Would you get God to cancel the judgement day until I get back?
Maybe you ought to sell your PC and get a Bible.
---Elder on 9/21/10

I think it is clear that judgment day starts 5.21.2011, but i think it is incorrect to insist that it is also the date of Christ's return-but that will be a moot point anyway.
---Joel on 9/21/10

That is the "authority"? Articles on the web??The "Rapture" is unbiblical. Christ is only going to return once, not twice. Hollywood dupes many people. It was concocted by a kook in the mid 19th century. The idea sells books and movies. By the way, Christ tells us that no one will know when He will return. Was Christ lying??? My sound advice is to always be ready, don't buy into fantasy.
---Jerald_Archer on 9/14/10

Who told you this? I'm 73 years old, and I couldn't even count the times someone has set a date for the rapture. (I've taught many Bible courses on this subject, and the conclusion I've reached is, "Just be ready"!

Cluny: "Actually, all seven Churches of Asia Minor were active Orthodox Churches until 1922."

The word "church" is nothing more than a body of christians. The names of the churches in Revelation are nothing more than the location of groups of christians to identify them. Christ's church doesn't have buildings having treasures untold. Is your church ready to sell all it has and give to the poor?

Christ's church does not belong to the government. Any time a "church" files as a non-profit, that church belongs to the government. In other words, the government says, "Do what we say or we'll take away your tax status."

\\Cluny, We are now in the Laodicean Church Age.\\

Who's WE, Kemo Sabe?

Speak for yourself and your own congregation.

\\ The Laodicean Church was an actual Church which existed during the early Church years\\

You're telling me nothing I don't know, but your time frame is wrong.

Actually, all seven Churches of Asia Minor were active Orthodox Churches until 1922.

At that time a population exchange was forced by the League of Nations. All the Orthodox were forced out of Turkey (except for Constantinople, later called Istanbul) and all the mahometans were forced out of Greece.

However, this last has been reversed in recent years.
---Cluny on 9/4/10

Cluny, We are now in the Laodicean Church Age. The Laodicean Church was an actual Church which existed during the early Church years. But, the last Church of the Church Age is also prophecied as a type of Laodicean Church existing during the End-Times. It's the compromising Church, that is, the believers within the Church who are in compromise who are LUKEWARM. These Lukewarm will be the ones that the LORD will vomit out of His Mouth. This is the Church which the Lord had nothing good to say about. This Laodicean Church is GROWING by the day. The true uncompromising followers of GOD are becoming fewer and fewer IN COMPARISON. The raptured Saints will be Remnants in and of themselves. With more Remnants to follow during the Great Tribulation.
---Gordon on 9/4/10

\\Ignatius, In what way is Orthodoxy "clear about" there being no Pre-Trib Rapture?
---Gordon on 9/4/10\\

Orthodoxy clearly and unambiguously teaches that the Church (by which we mean the Orthodox Church) will go through the Tribulation, THEN Jesus comes to gather His flock as He descends at the end to execute judgement.

Now do you get it, Gordon?

THIS is what was believed by ALL Christians, including non-Orthodox ones, until Margaret MacDonald and Darby in the 1830's came up with their novelty.
---Cluny on 9/4/10

Cluny, Richard brought up a good point! There were things prophecied during Old Testament times, regarding the End-Times, which were SEALED UP until the End-Times. We are NOW in the End-Times. GOD is sending His modern Prophets and Teachers to share with the rest of the Church, the things earlier sealed up, and the Holy Spirit is giving Understanding of these Prophecies to those of the Church who are OPEN to learn of these "new" formerly sealed up Revelations. We must be open to these "new/ yet not new" Revelations, instead on calling them "false Prophecies, because they're not written about in the Bible". Of course they're not in the Bible, they were sealed up and kept secret until the End-Times, that is TODAY.

DANIEL 12:8 AND I Heard, but I understand not, I ,O my LORD, what shall be the end of these things.
12:9 AND he said , GO thy way Daniel for the WORDS are closed up and seal TILL the TIME OF THE END.
12:10 MANY shall purified, and made white, and tried, but the wicked shall do wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
( The church - body of Christ will understand - IF this is were where at, the churches will not understand - FALLEN AWAY - apostate has happen - 2 THESSALONAINS 2:3

"Did you mean "God has revealed,2,000 years ago,to His Church & to a degree, what will occur at the end times" " (alan)

Jesus Christ, the Holy Apostles, and the Early Fathers spoke about the End Times. But it is a Mystery, nonetheless. We do not have a full knowledge of the end times, only that which has been revealed by God to his Church.

In any case, Pre-Tribulational Rapture is NOT a Apostolic doctrine. Orthodoxy is very clear about this.

In IC.XC.,
---Ignatius on 9/3/10

Cluny, The true believers of the Church are spiritual Jews. We are spiritual children of Abraham. Abraham is the father of all of those who follow GOD IN FAITH. We are in the Great Apostasy prophecied about in the Scriptures, that great Falling Away (from the Faith). We are in the Laodicean Church Age, where the Lord will VOMIT the Lukewarm from His Holy Mouth. Not everyone in the Church is walking, or at least, TRYING to walk, the Narrow Path required to enter the Kingdom. YAHUSHUA said that the End Times, which we are NOW IN, will be as in the days of Noah. That Analogy applies in many different respects! Few Saints, in comparison, will be rescued by the Ark of Safety (Bridal Rapture) before the coming Flood (of the Tribulation).

Ignatius, GOD can do anything He wants. He is revealing things concerning the End-Times through HIS modern Prophets. Read EPHESIANS 4:11-12. It tells us that GOD has Prophets set up in the Church. No time limit given, therefore we can believe it's for the entire Church Age. Well, it IS for the whole Church Age, because, again, His modern Prophets are out and about TODAY. GOD can reveal things ANYTIME HE wants. He isn't bound by anyone's perception of when they think Prophecies are to be given, or in any certain period of time. Sorry if that gets in the crosshairs of what you believe, but, it's just the Truth. :-)

Cluny, For Heaven's sake, READ MY COMMENTS THOROUGHLY!!! I, myself, never once said anything about believing and agreeing with the "May 2011 Rapture 'prophecy'". In fact, I just said the OPPOSITE. The first thing I said was that the "May 2011 'prophecy'" was NOT TRUE. You need to pay better attention to what you read and how you comment, because it just stirs up UNECESSARY trouble and confusion for other people around when you don't!
---Gordon on 9/3/10

Ignatius God has revealed, to a degree, to His Church what will occur at the end times 2,000 years ago."

If what you say is true, we shouldn't listen to the last two prophets as written in Revelation. In fact, what you are teaching is for christians not to listen to the last two prophets. Shame on you. Today's prophets (yes, there are prophets today) are proclaiming that the end is very near, but, unfortunately, not many people, including christians, are listening. Most, if not all, prophets today, including the two prophets in Revelation, will not be invited into a denominational church because they do not adhere to their denominational doctrines.

\\GOD is now revealing things through HIS prophets of today, and through others in HIS End-Times Church details of the End-Times that were not DETAILED in the Scriptures because these details pertain ONLY to this End-Time generation.\\

You don't actually think you're a prophet, do you?

God has NOT revealed that there's a rapture on 21 May 2011 or a last judgement in October of the same year.

Harold Camping is deluded.
---Cluny on 9/2/10

"GOD is now revealing things through HIS prophets of today," (Gordon)

1) Pre-Tribulation Rapture is not taught in Holy Scriptures, and the Early Christians (if you read early Christian texts) only believe in the Second Coming of Christ (which they received through Apostolic Tradition). Rapturists believe Christ will come back two more times, despite the fact that Scriptures only teach a Second Coming of Christ.

2) God has revealed, to a degree, to His Church what will occur at the end times 2,000 years ago. Thus, any person today who claims to be a Prophet and teach a Pre-Tribulation Rapture is a false prophet and shame on you for accept 21st century traditions..

Gordon,I didn't say no one would warn Gods people there'll be a Judgement Day or Rapture nor Christs return. I didn't say there are no Prophets, what I did was share the Bible verse which says no one but God knows the time. God's Ministers of the Gospel,no matter, teachers, preachers, prophets have been warning people to be ready over 2000 years and you don't have to know the exact year, month, day, hour,or moment to do that. That is just what I did at the end of what I wrote. Warn Christians to stay ready. Prophets will not go against the Word of God,what they say must line up with the Bible and if they give dates for the end, they are speaking from their own mind not God's. Thats a false Prophet. I stick to the Bible,no one knows endtime but God.

Cluny, GOD's Mercy endures forever for those who FOLLOW HIM! The Scriptures say that GOD is angry with the wicked every day! Yes, GOD is merciful and willing that none perish, but, each individual human being must actively CHOOSE GOD and follow HIM, or else GOD's Everlasting Mercy will not apply to them! Once a person who has rejected Salvation dies, then that's it for them. No more Mercy will be shown them, only GOD's Wrath will they see from then on. The exceptions have been the ones GOD brought back from Hell to give testimony of Hell. But, for the general populace who die in their sins, it will be Hell and the Lake of Fire. If you don't believe in BOTH GOD's Love AND Wrath, then, you aren't really believing in the ONE True GOD.

Ah, so you agree that God takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked - he would rather see them redeemed (Ezekiel 18:23-24, 33:11 etc.). Yet yourself chortle with glee about it. There is someone in the Bible who also delights in the destruction of those whom God would rather see redeemed... Be careful that you do not follow his example.

Believe It or Not,

I actually read an article written by a Jewish Messianic believer who says the phrase that Jesus uses "no one knows the hour except My Father in Heaven" was a common phrase used at the time of Christ by betrothed men. The betrothed man would use the phrase to communicate the fact that only his father knew he was going to go and get the bride, and that the son never knew.

This article went on to say that the phrase really does not mean that we cannot know the hour, just that Jesus was responding like any other jewish groom would at the time.

Harold Camping's followers will still follow him on May 22. Jehovah's Witnesses incorrectly predicted the Apocalypse many times and are still here.

When Prophecy Fails is a book documenting a 1954 UFO cult's end-of-the-world prophecy, and how they rationalized its failure.

Cognitive Dissonance happens when one holds two contradictory beliefs (like "Prophecy says X will happen" and "X didn't happen"). People cope by rationalizing one away (e.g. "we interpreted prophecy wrong", or "Jesus DID return - just invisibly").

See Aesop's fable of the Fox and the Grapes. Unable to reach some grapes on a tree, a fox leaves, saying "they probably would have been too sour anyway".

Darlene1, GOD sent His servant Noah to warn the people for 120 years that a great Flood was coming in Judgment against sinful mankind. Most of the people only mocked him and GOD's PROPHECIED Judgment. Only eight measily people believed the Report. THAT IS NOT VERY MANY. Seven days right before the Flood, GOD revealed the timing of the Flood to Noah. "Come thou and all thy house into the Ark,...For yet seven days and I will cause it to rain upon the Earth...". The LORD is doing the same NOW. As in the Parable of the 10 Virgins, There is a one who is designated by GOD to make the cry at Midnight of "Behold, the Bridegroom cometh, Go ye out to meet Him!". GOD has HIS Prophet(s) today, to do that. EPHESIANS 4:11-12 and AMOS 3:7.

I would think all the Virgins represented the Bride Matthew 25:1-11 but only five were ready for the Bridegroom and went in with him. As for the End of Time,Rapture, and the Judgement Day the Bible says this Matthew 24:1-36 (Specifically) 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man,no not the angels in Heaven, but my Father only. This is the truth, that makes every prediction a lie. No human on earth, spirit, angel or anything else is going to tell anyone on earth when the Rapture and Judgement Day will be. There can be so much talk about "when" Jesus comes. But how about "how" to become ready? There may be so much effort to get our *attention* to "when", so we are decoyed away from dealing with how we need to become, in order to be ready. One scripture I think of is 1 Peter 3:4 > "rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of god." So, are we giving at least as much attention to having "the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit" which is so precious to our Father, and makes us compatible with our Groom Jesus so we are ready to spend all eternity with Him and each other?

The "problem" with the information you have shown interest in is that it is based on "calculations" done by one Harold Camping who us the founder and president of Family Radio and who also wrote a book titled "1994" wherein he proclaimed without reservation that Jesus Christ would return in September or October of 1994(I don't remember which month it was). The BAD news is that he was wrong then and he will be wrong this time. Harold Camping has also said that the "church age" has already ended, which cannot be true because Jesus told His followers to work until HE returns.

\\88 reasons WHY Jesus will return in 1988. Didn't Happen.\\

Two of his more interesting proofs:

1. On a certain day there was going to be a "solar eclipse of the sun"--as opposed to a solar eclipse of the moon, I suppose.

2. He used the 13 day difference (presently) between Julian and Gregorian calendar in his figuring, but got it backwards. He ADDED 13 to the Gregorian date to get the Julian date, instead of SUBTRACTING 13 days.

The Bible clearly states that only GOD -- not the Internet, not Articles, and especially not Earthly human minds, knows the "exact" Date and Time.

May 21, 2011 sounds like one of the "numerous" claims we've heard, but didn't work out:

88 reasons WHY Jesus will return in 1988. Didn't Happen.

12/31/1999 was supposed to be the end of he world. Didn't Happen.

June 9, 2000 is MY sister's B-Day and was supposed to be the day of a world-wide revival. Didn't Happen.

And now comes May 21, 2011. We Shall Just Wait & See.

FOR ANYBODY that take the BIBLE serious, they should take a hole hearted look at this study.the study is a well thought out piece of work. Now as far as Know the Churches are standing on MARK 13:32 - MATTHEW 24:42
BUT REVELATION 3:3 2 THESSALONIANS 5:4 ECCLESIATES 8:5 - HEBREWS 10:25 MATTHEW 24:50 these verse
seem to contradict MARK and MATTHEW - FOR me any time there a conflict in verses I'am digging into it,
The study set up a scary scenario,That 2 THESSALONIANS 2,3 -- FALLEN AWAY - that this is complete, and the church age has ended, and the book of DANIEL 12:9 has been open. Now the church will not get it because the HOLY GHOST in not in the churches any more.
( all of this is on the internet highway)

Since our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ Himself said no one knows the day or the hour, but only the Father, there's no doubt that this date is NOT the right one.
---Cluny on 8/29/10

So how does this internet "proof" square with "No man knows the day or hour" which is in Scripture?
