Maybe its those who only know and believe the forgiveness of, God!
But then maybe only those who know they are guilty of all!
And by this, cannot accuse another, because they themselves are guilty of it.
And they know it!

But, Cluny it is safe to say that some will stand.
For God is able to make them stand!

1Co 7:16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach,

You did say here!
There is none righteous, no, not one!

//Read with your heart not with your eyes.//

I will be the first to admit that my head is still fifty feet from my heart. and, i will admit that based upon what you wrote in this thread and many others, i was a little surprised by you calling me a fool.

However, regarding the last thing that you wrote i understand now, and i realize that we are on the flip side of the same coin. At the point of true repentance, he is no sinner yet Jesus calls him a repentant sinner. so, our opinion seems to be the same, but an eye blink difference in time.

Which of us here is NOT a sinner?
---Cluny on 9/6/10

AKA hi
Ok, I did not call you a fool!
Anyone who believes there is a God is NO FOOL!
Read with your heart not with your eyes.

But this I do say!
If a sinner prays to God and believes he is!
Luk 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

So than, he is no sinner!
You have the lord word on this!

But anyone who believes God is not. Is a fool!
Till he believes!

//What it be like?...Bro!

when i was a sinner, God heard because He listens for His will no matter how foolish I was. i did not believe when i first prayed... it took me a while, but He drew me in.

the only difference between a saint and a sinner is that the saint has truly decided that He needs a Savior and Lord.

there are many who say "Lord, Lord" who are positive that they are heard, and they are. it's too bad it does not work out well for them. they want the savior part but not a Master. You have the freedom to call me a fool.

Its not that he doesnt hear, its they dont speak.
How can one hear, what is not spoken?
Will a man, who does not believe in God, PRAY TO HIM? NO!

So then, if you pray, well!
You must believe in what you are praying too.
Or you are not praying, but talking to the air!
Is this not so?

And you (is) a fool!
What it be like?

i may hear a person say something, but I may not give audience or heed to it or understand it. Since God is omnipresent, He "hears" everything and everyone, but does not necessarily give audience or heed to it. How do we (sinner or saint) account for everything that we utter if He does not hear everything?

it is good that God does not give audience to foolish statements from sinners or saints. atheist never said anything in this thread to provoke an uppercut from you. however, since we have to account for everything that proceeds from our mouth (or fingertips), i would get my fists under control if I were you...

please don't mistake a saint for a sinner that says "Lord, Lord..."

True, it is sad! Do we listen to God or men.
Joh 9:30 The MAN answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

He sounds more like this.

And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Just words right

//I wonder why so many people refuse to trust and understand the written Word of God and then make such foolish statements.//

to whom are you speaking?
---aka on 9/3/10

I wonder why so many people refuse to trust and understand the written Word of God and then make such foolish statements.
John 9:31- Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Any person that has changed his will (repented of his sin and done his ABCs) has became a worshipper of God.
A= Admit
B= Believe
C= Confess
God has not promised to hear the prayers of those who are in rebellion against Him.

Didn't you tell us that before blood flowed up your veins, that you said the sinner's prayer? So, if believe that God does not hear the prayers of sinners, then who/what was the source of that sensation?

Thank God He hears the prayers of sinners, the saints, and the righteous. May God have mercy on the self-righteous and self-deluded.

"How do we know that GOD is with us during our prayers?" We have His word.
"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." 1Jo 5:14,15
"in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous." Refs. Eph 3:12>Hbr 10:35>Psa 34:17>Pro 15:29

Do you have any problem believing God hears you when you curse, even if it was when you were an unbeliever? No? Then why would you even think He doesn't hear your prayers as a child of His?
---Linda on 9/2/10

Why are you looking for signs and wonders? Did not our Lord said "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe" (Jn. 20:29). They are blessed, for they did not seek logical proofs, but the fire which God places in peoples hearts.

It is by faith that we pray. It is by faith that we celebrate the Divine Liturgy. It is by faith that we partake of the Holy Eucharist, for the forgiveness of sins and Life everlasting. It is by faith...........

Here again, let just say someone only knows the Our Father or whatever!
Every night prays it over and over again. You are saying God will not hear this.

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Which cannot be uttered!
Dont you think?

Faith. If we give sincere prayers instead of repeitive babbiling he hears us.Otherwise he does not give attention to babbiling.

It is safe to say some will never cease to amaze me.

Luk 15:1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

If God hear not sinners, then who on earth can he hear?

Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good,
no, not one.

And the way of peace have they not known:

Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

His name is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and He is the Living Word of God, made flesh and came and dwelt amongst us. When you are gathered together in the Living Word, and claiming the promises from that Living Word, and having faith in Him, God will be with you by the dwelling of His Holy Spirit. When you are gathered together in His name
