But it is significant that the mere THREAT of burning the Coran led to riots and even killings among mahometans.

It is a shame we are not as devout....especially when we have the truth.
Rather, most live in fear of stirring up the GODless.
Christ whipped the money changers....we won't.
Leviticus 26:8
And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
Psalm 35:5
Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

Catherine:
"How would the Muslims feel if we had gone over into their country and blew up buildings and people".

It's been done.

Well, if I was trusted by God with twenty people, as their pastor, I would think caring for twenty people would keep me and my attention pretty busy with them. So, how ever could I manage to get so far away, in my mind, to where I would even think of burning a Qur'an??? What does that have to do with pastoring people? It says to pastors, "nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3) How does burning a Qur'an feed Christ's example to His sheep???

If he actually did trick himself into that, that could mean that he functions mainly on trickery. And so, then, may be the only way to get through to him would be to trick him into not doing it.

This is an easy answer. It's no. It was either self promo or understanding that his actions could cause 1 or more people to be murdered for his actions. Islam is a wrong and evil religion. It talks about how the Jewish people and the sabbath breakers, (Christians), are pigs-dogs-apes and the equivilent of old urine-feces-vomit and every other vile disgusting thing imaginable. Would the pastors actions if he had burned the quran shared the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour or would it have caused 1 muslim to except Jesus Christ as Lord and excepted the free will offering of salvation given to them by Gods grace? God is in charge so go forth and accomplish the great commission as He said to. That is Gods will for us as Christians.

I realize that this is changing the subject, a little. I have a question>>>How would the Muslims feel if we had gone over into their country and blew up buildings and people, and later wanted to build something very American on that site which we blew up? Those people would wage a war like you wouldn't believe against us, WOW! I am sure that there are other sites, why don't they go and find them? I do not understand the Muslims logic. Kinda like rubbing salt in the womb. Now, you know I hate that. Yes sir.

Even God said to me one day, "No need to antagonize them". We are not suppose to antagonize our enemies. Just hang aloof. God is BIG on that word ALOOF. Come on Jesus. Come on. Hallelujah. All of God's people get close to Him and seek His council....You don't want to tangle with a snake, do you?

\\Just the fact that he only has 20 members means that the Word of God that he is preaching/teaching isn't drawing crowds of people to His Church because Acts tells us that it's the Word of God that draws people to come to a church to hear what's being taught.\\

Large numbers mean nothing,

Jesus had most of His followers leave, and was down to only a small handful at the Crucifixion. And though 500 had seen Him after the Resurrection, there were some that doubted, even at the very moment of the Ascension. (Matt 28:17).

And there were only 125 persevering in prayer in the Upper Room 10 days later at Pentecost. Talk about attrition!

OTOH, Simon Magus attracted large crowds.

"Well, I just read that in India, rioting mahometans burnt down a Christian Church yesterday because supposedly a Coran was burned in Michigan."
Cluny
Let me tell you what you will not hear. You will not hear any outrage against it.
I may be wrong but let's wait and see what is said against that action by the posters here.

That Pastor is deceived. I don't believe God told him to burn the Koran. That was his flesh that wanted to do that.

Just the fact that he only has 20 members means that the Word of God that he is preaching/teaching isn't drawing crowds of people to His Church because Acts tells us that it's the Word of God that draws people to come to a church to hear what's being taught.

Pastor Jones, you are in rebellion to God. And since you admitted you are in financial woes, you should retire, repent, and stay with GOD until your heart is made pure again.

I sure hope it ain't so. It makes me think he could be working for them ( allah follower in disguise ) to get some of the Non - allah followers killed off.

2nd.Cor.11 v's 14 - 15 sure is running rampant in mens minds.

Some have opined he was tricking the media to get his 15 minutes of fame.

But it is significant that the mere THREAT of burning the Coran led to riots and even killings among mahometans.
