Persecuted For Jesus' Sake
Are you aware that in Pakistan a Christian woman is being sentenced to death because she said Jesus came back from the dead and Muhammad didn't? She's already been beaten twice, how can Muslims believe they serve the same God as Christians?

At the final judgment, there will be many who think they were serving Jesus, but in reality they were not. They will say "Lord, Lord, did we not do many wonderful works in your name?" and he will say "I never knew you!" (Matthew 25)
There are many people who worship the same God, they're just do it all wrong. This doesn't mean that the God they worship is wrong - it just means that they are.

The word of God says that we are to be in a unity of the faith and a unity of the Spirit.
We are all to believe the same thing and speak the same thing.
Muslims are no more serving the same God than the vast majority of so-called Christians.
This does bear witness though that there are some truly persecuted for Jesus' name while many in free countries are persecuted for making a mockery of Christ.
Maybe the contemporary movement should go and tell her the beatings aren't real and we can see how correct their doctrine is.
I'm sure she would appreciate the exhortation.
I myself feel sorry for her and hope the Lord helps her in this which is prophesied about the reproach of true Christianity.

Pharisee, it is for the same reason that many idolaters deceptively think that they are Christians, when in fact they are not.

It is easy for two people to have the same God, but believe mutually contradictory things about him. Jews' and Christians' faiths are founded on the Old Testament, but they believe different things about Jesus. Christian culs believe in the Bible (but flawed translations and interpretations of it).
Much of the Qur'an reads like an imperfect reconstruction from memory of many stories from the Bible (and thus describe the same God we all know and love).
Unfortunately, as I pointed out above, believe in the same God is no guarantee of "common ground". I would certainly not want any fellowship with followers of David Koresh or Jim Jones.

\\WOW, I'm shocked, Cluny is admitting I'm a Christian.\\
Unlike some others here who shall not be named, you have never given any reason to question it, Donna.
The REAL question is how can Christians believe the mahometan deity is the same as ours.

Well, we do not know the full story. I did hear about it, and it sickens me. I can't help but to wonder why these stories don't make it on prime time news. I heard about this on the "Seven Hundred Club". And why are not the media making a big deal over the persecutions of God's people, like they do on so much other stuff, a lot of it don't mount to a row of pens....It is a fact that the Muslims do not worship the one true God. Why do they get so upset over it? And why would anyone become violent over one's god? I pray that God will do something.

WOW, I'm shocked, Cluny is admitting I'm a Christian. That's a first. Thank you Cluny. I appreciate the positive feedback.
As far as this guy goes, doesn't he realize he's in America and American men do respect their wives? And American men do respect Christian women?
Maybe I'll send him a copy of the Book titled, "Why not a Woman?" It's about all of the women of the bible that God and Jesus used and blessed. Jesus appeared to a woman first after He rose from the dead and Peter doubted her that she had seen Jesus. Men, sheesh!!! LOL

It's because they have no respect for Christians, and they have no respect for women. Since you're both, he had two reasons to treat you with contempt.

That's not all they are doing to Christians in Pakistan and other places where mahometans are in the majority.
Christian children have been beheaded, cooked, and returned to their families on beds of rice.
I could give you several sites about this that I check daily, but it's against the policy of these blogs to do so.
The price paid for being Christians in these countries, and what they suffer, make some of the debates here seem rather petty.

No, I'm not aware of that but I just met a Muslim man who flirted with me up the wazoo and I told him about Jesus and he got really angry with me.
Anyhoot...we argued about allah not being Jehovah and allah did NOT send his only begotten son to die for our sins, etc., It was a heated debate.
And guess what? He asked me out, told me I was very pretty, grabbed my hand when I was getting out of his taxi and then calls me and tells me he's married. I was like, "you liar, you asked me out and told me you weren't married, it's a good thing I said NO THANK YOU."
Why would he lie? And why are they killing a Christian woman in Pakistan?
