I like this one, Psalm 5:1-3, and it can be sung:

~ Give ear to my words O Lord,
consider my meditation.
Hearken onto the voice of my cry,
my Ki-ing and my God:
for up to you will I pray, my voice will you hear in the morning.
O Lord in the morning will I direct my prayer
up yo you and wi-ill look up...~

Reba, one of the first passages that I remember made a big impact in my Christian walk when I first committed my life to Christ and is found in Ezekiel 37:1-14. The dry bones live"

Some verses are extra meaningful.

Acts 11:26...
"and in Antioch, the disciples were first called Christians".

Acts 9:2 (who SAUL persecuted)
"that if he found any belonging to THE WAY, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem".

Acts 19:9
"but when some were stubborn and disbelieved, speaking evil of THE WAY".

Act 24:22 "But Felix, having a rather accurate knowledge of THE WAY".

Fifty years after the crucifixion, the Jews that came to Christ decided at the "Incident at Antioch" (a meeting of the Council of Jerusalem) to no longer be of "THE WAY" because they still wanted to follow MOSAIC LAW.

John 14:6

My favorite Bible verse is the beatitudes Matthew 5:3-11. especially v.5 "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." I remember then from my childhood.

This one pricks me all the time starting from ~2months ago. Malachi 1:6, "A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a Father, where is my honour? and if I be a Master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you,...".

PSALM 23
"Yhwh my shepherd, nothing will I need.
In pastures of tender grass, beside the waters of quietness,
he set me forward to feed.
My soul he converts and lightens,
he brings me to walk in righteousness for his most holy name.
When I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear none ill:
your rod, your staff does comfort me, here you with me still.
You prepare a table in front of me, in the presence of my foes:
you greatly anoint my head with oil, and my cup overflows.
All the days of my life you show lovingkindness and mercy to me,
that in your house O' Yhwh, to the length of days, my dwelling place will be."

My favourite Scripture Verses are PSALM 138:8, JOHN 14:1-6, PSALM 15, and JOHN 8:58. There are more, but, those stand out the most, right now.

:24 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

Jer 31:31 and Heb 8:8. This would be no surprise here. I'll explain why they are my favorite.
It is the declaration of the New Covenant. It is foundational to understanding both Testaments.
It gives the participants. The rest of scripture gives why.
Amos 5:4
For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

Truth may free those who search for truth...if they accept the truth when its found......but, there are exceptions.
Amos 8:12
And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

I haveta agree about the geo.'s if it wasn't for my Alexander Scourby Bible DVD I'd really struggle through those names:-} LOVE the verses on wisdom also. I need all the help I can get. The verses I mentioned are very dear to me because they, as well as thousands of others, show that God is not only our Creator, our Saviour, our LORD, but He's our Father who wants to be a part of our everyday life. He wants us to talk to Him, allow Him to help us. He calls us His sons & daughters. NOW YOU CAN'T BE MORE FAMILY THAN THAT!!! That gives me a sweet peace in my heart.

-- Reba :

Sister, "The fear of the LORD, that is Wisdom, and to depart from evil is Understanding."

Job 28:28
is a first of sorts laid as my spiritual foundation, and holds great significance since Wisdom is this principal thing we're all to get, and with all our getting we're to get Understanding : The merchandise of it is better than silver & it's gain finer than gold.

She is more precious than rubies and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand, and riches & honor in her left.

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are Peace. She is a Tree of Life to us that lay hold upon her and happy is every one that retain her !!!

Reba I have a head full of them just thinking the question over, it's not possible to narrow it down to even a top ten for me.

I'll tell you that my least favorite are the geologies as a reader, but even they have their purpose.
