i just want to say that divorce is not unpardonable, ...but consider, you are marrying the spiritual ramifications of that divorce...good or bad.

in effect, when you marry someone you are marrying the past, present, and future of that person. you are marrying his family (in-laws) and divorcee (or at least what part he has not worked out).

Well Said!

Why is it your husband's second marriage?

If you feel any hesitancy for any reason--and you apparently do--do NOT get married!

LUKE 16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery:and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

1 CORINTHAIN 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband:AND LET NOT the Husband put away his Wife

( Think you got ask your self are you save or not, One of the signs of a true believer is they want to do the will of GOD.Your husband to be been married Twice before. he sounds like a unbeliever or unsaved , And another law is your not to be Yoke with a unbeliever.CORINTHIANS 6:14)

The general idea is that Jesus says no to divorce and remarriage, especially if he divorced a woman who is a Christian . . . 1 Corinthians 7:10-11.

I consider that Jesus is our Groom, and Jesus does not dump us when we cheat on Him by having arguments and complaining which are not being faithful to our Groom Jesus.

Personally, you can pray and see if he is relating with you the way the Bible says for a man and his lady to relate. Ephesians 5:22-33. Is he your "head" like Jesus is, so you are sharing "in everything" with him, like with Jesus?

Have you asked your Pastor? That is the best person to discuss this matter with.

Question is was adultry comitted in his previous relationship & by whom? also, was he a chrisitan in his 2nd marriage or a Chrisitan now? If adultry was commited & he didn't do it, & was a christian yes this marriage could be blessed and work. If he wasn't a chrisitan the rules donot apply, but once he commits his life to God then it does.

Your marriage will be blessed as much as the world permits.

Marriages that involve a divorced person are always more challenging than marriages that the the FIRST for both husband and wife.

Both of you will just need to buckle down and work harder to make this marriage successful. It can be done.

Based on the Bible teaching, marrying a divorced person is not a marriage that will be blessed on God. But, from a personal view, I've seen some divorced marriages be very successful, but limited on what the church will allow them to do. For example: it's not likely either of you can teach Sunday School, or hold a place of leadership in the church, (which I'm not totally happy with, since it's like "throwing out the baby with the bath water" in my opinion.) But, the Bible says a divorced person is NOT to get remarried. It might be wise to ask the advice of your pastor.
