In John 4:22,"Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: FOR SAlVATION IS OF THE JEWS."
---mima on 3/29/11

"0F". Not through.
Judah inherits the scepter.
Because of this,Judah was the tribal nation Christ came through.
Because of their unbelief...salvation. Rom 11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

30 28 As "concerning gospel", they are "enemies" for your sakes: but as touching election, they are beloved for father's sakes.
---Trav on 3/30/11

mima, do you know what that verse means?
Is it talking about Judaism or is it talking about the Judaic line for which our Lord and Saviour came into this world?
---micha9344 on 3/29/11

Cluny says,"But Judaism is NOT salvific."

But the Bible says,

In John 4:22,"Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: FOR SAlVATION IS OF THE JEWS."

How interesting----
---mima on 3/29/11

Cluny, are you and Trav in cahoots? You both really dislike Jews a lot.

Christians R paid by same employer. Cluny don't dis me too much, I like his searching challenging provocations to everybody...to produce "truth" or take it downda street.
Anti-Christ? Jews? I Pray 4 the non liars.
Rev 3:9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie, behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Deut 33:29Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, shield of thy help, who is the sword of thy excellency! thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee,....
---Trav on 3/29/11

No, John.usa.

I don't dislike Jews.

But Judaism is NOT salvific.

If it were, the Incarnation, Passion, Crucifixion, and Resurrection would not have been necessary.

\\Cluny...
Purim is not a Holy Day! So don't panic, its just a simple festival.
---John on 3/27/11\\

Yes.

It's PAGAN festival. It's even preceded by a fast, in imitation of Nativity and Pascha.
---Cluny on 3/28/11

Cluny...

---John on 3/27/11

BTw, John, think about this:

Esther--a Babylonian name.

Hestia--the Greek goddess of the hearth.

See a similarity?

That means that Purim is really a pagan feast. (That's how your logic works.)

26 Make Up Your Own Holiday Day
---aka on 3/23/11

Ha...good points,funny.

Let's make it "Pray for Trish Day". She is seriously asking. I'm allergic to pain, bullets, knifes too...been there...done that.

James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

The rest are ....well....frivolity of excess blessings.
---Trav on 3/25/11

I am grateful for the prayers. The post-op pain has been horrendous, but is lessening a little each day. So grateful for God's grace and strength to get through this.

/happy Nicholas of Flue Day/

Happy National Chip and Dip Day

When : Always March 23rd

Important Note: National Potato Chip Day is on March 14th. For today's celebration, the "chip" is more generic. It could be corn chips, or tortilla chips. And, the dip is any kind that goes well with the chip of choice.

24 National Chocolate Covered Raisin Day
25 Pecan Day
25 Waffle Day
26 Make Up Your Own Holiday Day

Trav: Thank you. Those verses are comforting.

Today has been challenging. The doc says that I have swelling, and that is causing the extreme pain.,
---Trish9863 on 3/23/11

Now, I am dealing with horrific pain and would appreciate prayers for this. Toe surgery is more painful than one would think.

Thanks again for lifting me up to the Lord.

Psalm 25:18
Look upon mine affliction and my pain, and forgive all my sins.
Ezekiel 16:6
When I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live, yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

Luke 9:6
And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
---Trav on 3/23/11

Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate the peace I had going in to the surgery. God and the medical personnel took really good care of me.

Now, I am dealing with horrific pain and would appreciate prayers for this. Toe surgery is more painful than one would think.

Thanks again for lifting me up to the Lord.

\\I will be baking Hamentaschen with my daughter for this Festival Day of G-d

For those of you that follow Constantine. Purim was started by Queen Esther and can be found in The Book of Esther.\\

If you're going to be observing a non-Biblical feast, John, did you know that the Talmud gives Jews permission to get so drunk on Purim that they can't tell the difference between "Blessed be Mordechai" and "Cursed be Haman?"

Will you be keeping that custom?
---Cluny on 3/20/11

Trish, remember it's about the present doubt and anxiety you should pray, "Thy will be done." In the meantime, may God help you with that, and at the appointed time guide the hands of the surgeon.

John you can be a wannabee Jew is you like.

I'm glad I'm a Christian, myself.

I would appreciate prayer for surgery I am scheduled to have on Tuesday, the 22nd. I will be having three hammertoes corrected. I have to go off my blood thinners, and I will be immobile for several days.
---Trish9863 on 3/18/11

Rarely see it asked for here. You may not want me praying for you....but, I'd like to see you stop me. Ha.

Be at peace Trish....he's gotcha in the palm of his hand anyway.
Luke 9:11
the people, when they knew it, followed him: he received them, spake unto them of the kingdom of God, healed them that had need of healing.

Done.
Suggestion: Quit hammering those toes. (Joking...take it easy)

I would appreciate prayer for surgery I am scheduled to have on Tuesday, the 22nd. I will be having three hammertoes corrected. I have to go off my blood thinners, and I will be immobile for several days. That is a perfect situation for clots to form.

Please pray for my healing and peace of mind. I am not concerned about the pain, as I had the same surgery done on other toes years ago, before I formed the blood clots.

aka:

I am not sure. My faith is not built upon the foundation of believing the literal truth of every verse in the Bible, so it doesn't affect my faith either way (Many of Jesus's teachings, were plainly NOT literally true - for example, he is The Vine, but not literally made of wood and grapes).

As I have often pointed out futilely to Warwick, even if one accepts the 7 creation days as literal days, we don't know the length of the first two days, since a day in the Bible has always been defined as from sunset to sunset (NOT 24 hours) - and in the first two days there was no sun to measure by.
---StrongAxe on 3/13/11

sorry, i meant strongaxe and not steveng.
---aka on 3/12/11

steveng, i have a habit of adding a side thought to my main point. my main point is that if you look around, the "mark" has been all around and and is getting more and more prevalent.

but, anyway, to you, are the 7 days of creation specific or general? (btw-i don't argue either way, but the time frame does seem pretty specific to me.)
---aka on 3/10/11

aka:

Not only is 3.5 mentioned as "half of seven years", or "a time, two times, and half a time (Daniel 12:6-7), it is also mentioned in Daniel as a very specific number of days:

Daniel 12:11-12
From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.

which in terms of the Biblical 360-day years are 3 years and 7 months, and 3 years 8 months and 15 days. These are not nice, round, archetypes (like "40 days" or "a thousand years"). They is very concrete and specific. There is probably a very good reason for that.
---StrongAxe on 3/10/11

Read These Insightful Articles About Auto Insurance

i hope one day you realize that the "mark" is a procession just like our walk with the Lord. The "mark" won't be forced and has been in process the A & E days. it is and will be easily accepted.

Recently, it was education in the 70s, farmland in the 80s, ma & pa small retail & grocery in the 90s, real estate in the 00s, and now the sole proprietor contractors and health...the attack on small industry started in the 70s...the govy is grabbing every sector of life that they can. The middleman and the middleclass...once they are gone, man will easily accept the "mark"

if most everything is symbolic in Rev and in other apocalyptic scripture, why is 3.5 years so literal?

Ruben, I am NOT a Pagan and I do NOT take the MARK OF THE BEAST on my forehead.
---John on 3/9/11

John,

Are you married? Do you have a ring on your finger? If you do, throw it away that is PAGAN!!!!
---Ruben on 3/10/11

John the examples you site are not what the Bible teaches. There is no mark used or required today. It is only during the Tribulation that anti-christ will demand a mark. I do agree with you about the RCC. We are in the Age of Grace. Even though, there is a lot happening Satan is not in charge of this earth.
---Elder on 3/10/11

John:

Can you go grocery shopping? If so, the Beast has not yet been revealed, nor has his Mark been revealed, nor have people accepted it.

Because when all that DOES happen, you will NOT be able to buy nor sell without accepting his Mark. And it will be VERY obvious to EVERYONE just what that mark will be, since it will be required for commerce. It won't be something that "catches us unawares".

Unless something earth-shattering has happened in the last 24 hours that I seem to have missed, that hasn't happened yet.

Thats is odd Alan, I'll check that blog.

I'll keep trying to find an empty post.
---John on 3/6/11

alan8566_of_uk:

There is yet another possibility, one that I have seen on some other sites, but not verified whether it is the case here or not. Some sites may display a post's time in the local time of the poster, but keep posts sorted in order of universal time, so posts from two different time zones might apear out of sequence, even though they are not (For example, a post from 2 AM on March 7 in London is actually chronologically earlier than one from 11 PM on March 6 in New York).

Some other sites, on the other hand, keep messages in order by the local time of the poster, but display them either by universal time or by the local time of the reader, so messages could get out of sequence that way too.
---StrongAxe on 3/7/11

John ...yes
---aka on 3/6/11

John There are many new blogs which have no response yet. I suppose it depends which territory they come from

But the other mystery remains

If you look at the Church Position on salvation blog, you will find posts which are published out of order.

The latest post is dated 5/5, but already one dated 5/6 had been published. And two dated 3/4/ were sandwiched between others dated 3/5

Maybe some get delayed due to moderation

//There might be other methods too.//

the movement of the Holy Spirit has not been mentioned.

because of the posting anomalies, the Lord has refined and redefined spiritual fruit like patience.

the Lord made me realize in between posts to seek righteousness instead of being 'right'.

the Lord helped me step back and see what people were really getting at.

the Lord has made me see my sarcasm and "know-it-allness" in me, and how it isn't mine.

the Lord is teaching me how to stand despite me and despite the evil one.

Praise The Father, The Word, and The Holy Spirit for completing their One Purpose in and through all of us.
---aka on 3/5/11

John:

Blog responses and new blogs require moderator approval. If there are two or more moderators, it would be quite easy for messages to get approved in a different order than originally posted.

Also, sometimes I see a response listed under my comments, but not actually posted to the blog in question (or maybe it was the other way around)? I have seen this kind of "same information is different when viewed from two different places" on many web sites - it is common if two different databases hold the same information, and both are not updated simultaneously. (Just try looking at your own bank statement online sometime. The bank website often is not up-to-date compared to your actual balance.)

I think they call these oddities, electronic hic-ups, which are something like brain farts: a lapse in continuity. You know, like when your phone gives a half of a ring: or else your phone does not ring at all, but you simply pick up the phone and start talking to the person you were thinking about, and they are on the other end and you both talk.
---Eloy on 3/4/11

I suspect that happens when there is one person pretending to be two ... so person "b" answers person "a"'s point, and gets published first!!
---alan8566_of_uk on 3/3/11

I think that ChristiaNet is similar to an Accounting system.

The order in which blog answers get posted "depends" upon the "order in which received" and the "method" used. Popular Accounting methods:

FIFO - First In, First Out.

LIFO - Last In, First Out.

There might be other methods too.

Trish, I will be praying for you and everyone else, I have not forgotten that at all.

John, I believe in the cases where answers come out before the question is posted is due to time that it was posted, who the mod was posting one question compared to another mod, and many times there is people who use different names to cover their identity answer something they said before that has not been posted yet. Only they knew what it said. Other times blogs don't get posted because of what is said in the post. I really don't know how its done but it really does not bother me in any way. Another thing when a person post many post for one answer some times only one goes through.

I have never seen a new posting without an answer already on it (Usually Cluny). So maybe he knows something.

As AlwaysOn said, I have seen some reponses to someone who is not even posting on the blog. Almost like there is a sidebar dialague going on.

I never ever seen a new post blank.

john,

do you mean responses to a question or the questions themselves?

90% of my responses get posted. the 10% that doesn't are made up of marginal responses and seemingly innocuous replies.

even though i do not like to name names, the moderator usually allows a 125 word response to each individual that you name. i have found out that two names are usually honored. the secret is to lead with the name.

as far as questions, good luck and godspeed. i have posed some very good questions, i thought. i try to pose it so it is 'educational'. but, mostly the same questions make it. they are just in a different form.

(Another hint-DO NOT USE SO MANY CAPS AND TERSE ANSWERS. :~)
---aka on 3/3/11

Blogs are posted in the order received, and may take up to two hours for approval. If you use an odd character in your posting like an asterics, the auto-webcrawler may interpret this as an unusual string and will filter your posting out, that is one reason it is good to spell check before you click the [ submit ] button (which I admit that I frequently forget to spell check mine). And I think if two postings are received at the exact same time, then either both are cancelled out by the electronic conflict, or else only one of them will get through. And there was one time that none of my postings were getting posted for a few days in a row, for whatever reason- perhaps electronic technology, or else human error.
---Eloy on 3/3/11

How do Blogs get posted. I noticed they've already received an answer before they are listed here.

Is there a process that occurs first before it is listed here. I tried to post Blogs of my own, but some do not get posted and they are non-controversial.
