Know When Christ Returns
Matthew 24 clearly states that the coming of the son of man will be like it was in Noah's day. So, if Noah knew when God was going to flood the earth, then why shouldn't we know when Christ will return and when God will destroy the world?

Steven G, since you can see sin very well, did you not sin when you called me worldly? You judged my heart and you are not even God who is the only One who can see the heart of people. Are you on the throne, proclaiming to be God, judging me and the rest of the brothers/sisters who gather in Churches who make up the spiritual church of Christ, which are baptized into One body? Are you the Christ who is knocking at the door of the church which has His name, and if anyone answers they can dine with you?
You did not like my humor, which was only humor, and answered me with judgment. Yes, what about your sin against the Church of Christ?
Notice, this were questions.

Mark_V.: "Maybe you also believe that May 21st is the day of Judgment."
You are again spreading lies and rumors. You are in the habit of lying against the Lord? Have you not read that the Lord detests lying lips? There is no truth in you when you need to lie and spread rumors about someone. You surely need to tame your thoughts and words for a person who lies will not go unpunished.

MarkV, if they take you up on your offer and you have a few buck left over, please send them my way as I am trying to put two kids through college.
I hope someone sees the humor in all this!

Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Rosalie, since you know the Lord is returning on my birthday please inform Jesus and the angels who have no idea.

Steven G, only you would find a bad thing in my answers. Not surprised at all. I really meant what I said. I can use the money, and my hope is that she does not go to the Great White Throne of Judgment. That is my hope for you too. Maybe you also believe that May 21st is the day of Judgment. If you do, I will take your motorcycle that you said you had. And since you believe I am from the world, why don't you leave me your money also. you won't need it after May 21.

SAMUEL 3/17/11 - So I'am not concern about the day of his coming. - Now the May 21 people would say your in darkness. And the reason to tell the world is.
EZEKIEL 33:6 But if the watchmen sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people not be warned and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity:his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.
Now Samuel if the may 21 study is speculation, were is it off?

Mark_V.: "Roslie, why don't you make a will for me and give me all you posses with the exception of your bills. You won't need your house or money much longer. I could use the money and put it in my 401k. peace to you and hope you don't have to go to judgment day at the Great White Throne of Judgment."
Spoken of by a worldly person even it was meant to be sarcastic.

we all know what the bible says about a date and time, we no one knows. sorry campinites.
That said, we do know the times and seasons though. Someone mentioned Noah's 7 days before the judgment came. The bible uses days in most cases signifying each day as one year.
Then Noah's 7 days become 7 years. The same number by the way as the length of tribulation. The question then is when, POST,MID, PRE tribulation for the return of Christ.
My position is Mid, so if the 7 years started in 2011 then we add 3.5 years and the rapture should take place in 2014 or 2015.
Noticed no day or date. For I don't know when tribulation will start, or weather POST,MID,PRE. or any number of dates.

I guess on May 21, 2011 we will see whther rosalie and anyone who has deceived her are false prophets, but I think most of us know already.

Yes Richard Noah knew seven days in advance after he took 120 years to build the ark.
We are to be prepared every die. For after we die the very next thing we see will be the second coming of JESUS. So we must be prepared to meet JESUS every day. For we do not know if we will be alive tomorrow.
So I am not concerned about the day of HIS coming. I am concered about am I ready and am I warning and helping those around me to be ready. That is what we are supposed to be doing insted of speculating.

RichardC: as you write, from Genesis 'For after seven more days ' - but Noah was building for many years - so he know the earth would be destroyed (as we know there will be the end of the world) but for a long time (while building) he did not know EXACTLY when
We are the same - we know there will be an end, but we are told to be 'always ready'
---Peter on 3/17/11|
I KNOW THE EXACT DAY AND TIME!!!!!
---John on 3/16/11|
RHONDA 3/13/11 Noe did not know when when the father in heaven would flood the earth.
GENESIS 7:4 For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things I have made.
Now for Knowing time --
LUKE 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man
( Noah knew the time, all eight did ,and in the end it will be as Noahs day so True believers would have to know Now Noah was a preacher of righeousness so the people of his day would have had to know too, But I would think the people of his day didn't believe him.
---RICHARDC on 3/13/11|
Noe did not know when The Father in Heaven would flood the earth
He was told to build it - it took 100 years to build
during that time he preached the destruction of earth to anyone who would listen yet not one passage implies Noe knew the time/day/hour
Christ who sits at the right hand of The Father in Heaven does not know the day or time I'm a servant of Christ not greater than HE ...my ways are not better than the ETERNALS
rest in knowing these things will be brought to pass and eternity is without Satans ruling over man

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36
Be more concern as to whether you are like Noah and his family who were the only people that God put into the ark (which was a type of Christ) to be saved from His wrath. What's the point of knowing the Day (which Christ have already declared that no one knows) and you are left outside of the ark, only to perish?
Be sure to know that Day will definitely come as prophesied by God, and it will come like a thief in the night for the unsaved like in the day of the great flood.
---christan on 3/12/11|
I think you are arguing apples and oranges here.
Jesus clearly said NO ONE can know the day or the hour of his return. However, Christians (who remain alert) will definately know the SEASON of his return. For it will be just as clear as the signs of Summer coming.
When Jesus mentions Noah... he is saying that the UNBELIEVERS at the time of his second coming, will be just as clueless as the UNBELIEVERS of Noah's Day.
As for Noah... he could not have cared less about when the rains would start. God had already told him that he and his family would be safe inside the ark.
A more accurate comparison would be... Did Noah know on which day God would suddenly tell him to get into the ark?

Richard, the number 7 is very meaningful in Scripture as the number 6 is. What I was asking though was why an extended 7 days, and where is that information found? Extended means there was a time already set, and was extended to seven more days, that was the interpretations I found, but could not find where that information in Scripture its at.
I was wondering if you knew. Peace brother.
---Mark_V. on 3/11/11|
MARKV - I don't know why seven days but the number seven in the Bible means - spiritual perfection - perfect fulfullment - Seventh Day GOD Rest - color of spectrum in rainbow seven - Christ Born 7 BC - Seven Miracles in John Gospel - There's alot more of this.
Now the thing I fine interesting about this May 21 2011 date - They have Noah Flood 4490 BC - 2011 AD = 7000 years,
There is about 7 Billion people on plant earth right now.
Noah flood was the 17 day of 2 month of the Biblical ceremonial calender, May 21 falls on the 17 day of 2 month.
So if there right, may be that seven days of Noah time was just a part of the end time plan.

Thank GOD JESUS is coming soon.
There are two different reactions to the coming of JESUS. Those who have mourned because of sin and the loss of loved ones will be comforted. Those who love sin will face vengence.
JESUS bring peace to His followers. But sin stirs up hatred against them.

We don't know and don't need to know or even more yahoos would be headed to mountain tops as if they would intercept Christ or get to heaven any quicker by not being in the valley.
We have signs about generations and the rebuilding of Temple Mount which is routinely ignored by the 2012 wing nuts, but not much more.
The folks over at Watchtower/Jehovah's Witness break all records for silliness with predictions of the second coming in 1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975 and 1994. Oops!

Richard, thank you for correcting me. You are right. God did tell Noah after telling him to begin filling the Ark that in seven days He would bring the flood. So Noah did know seven days in advance that it was coming. The use of the number Seven is unusual in verse two, and verse three, and the third when He used seven days with Noah.
After reading many of the interpretations I find that many say God allowed one more week for sinners to repent. But I could not find the reason for that. Do you know the reason?
---Mark_V. on 3/7/11|
MARKV - Noah didn't Know the Day?
GENESIS 7:4 For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth on the earth forty days and forty nights,------- ( NOAH had to know the day)
NEXT - Know one knows the day - What do you do with a verse like
ISAIAH 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And day of vengeance of our GOD , To comfort all that morn. ( With this verse you have a contradiction in your Gospel and that can not be,)
And that Trumpet that sounds is the word of God - Maybe refer ISAIAH 58:1 -
---RICHARDC on 3/6/11|
Cluny, you are correct again. Noah knew the flood was coming just did not know the day, or hour. The people knew it was going to come because of the preaching of Noah, and also the building of the Ark itself. Noah wanted them to prepare but they were to busy with other things that when it came they were surprised and swept away unexpectedly in the midst of their daily activities. Even today, we know the Lord is Coming, and we should be prepared, but no one knows the day or the hour. His coming will be after the heavens are shaken, for it will not be a quiet moment, but a loud one. Trumpets will sound.
---Mark_V. on 3/6/11|
I agree with Donna & Cluny. God did not tell Noah when. He only told him to build the ark because the flood was coming. Don't worry about when, just be prepared to meet God - no matter when.
---Reba on 3/5/11|
Did Noah know when God was going to flood the earth--month, day, year, and hour?
Or was Noah simply warned that it was going to happen at some point?

Didn't Jesus say in the Gospels that an evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign? or no?
carlos, I believe Jesus gave us enough clues to notice when His return is near, don't you? Just be ready at all times, don't worry about the WHEN, worry about if you are ready or not. Is your lamp filled with oil?
