Slept With Two Married Men

I have slept with 3 guys two were married and the third one was single. It feels like God will never forgive me for this. I prayed so many times that God would forgive me. What do I do?

Alex why would you incessantly punish yourself if you have already ASKED forgiveness?

If it "feels" like The Father in Heaven will never forgive you than that is YOUR believe it is not taught in Holy Scripture - as someone already stated Christ simply said to the adulteress women GO AND SIN NO MORE

what you should do is understand why your beliefs allow you to have NO self-esteem, little value and NO respect for yourself - deadly poisons to possess and make you an easy prey for men to take advantage of you ...find out why you would lower yourself to seek out men who are unavailable and only use you ...when you value and respect yourself you become more attractive to men who will in turn appreciate an honor you

I agree with Elena. Condemnation is the root that keeps you going in a circle. Before Jesus ever told the woman caught in adultery to go and sin no more, He got rid of her accusers and said, "Neither do I condemn thee." You are forgiven because of what Jesus did that removed the accusation against you. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus.

If you are truly repentant with your sins with a desire to make it right with God believe in this-"as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."-Psalm 103:12.
Rest assured that you are now clean in the eyes of God and making it new with God

I truly take joy n my salvation,Guess what? sister as long as the devil keeps you n that spirit of condemnation he knows you will move faraway from God! He works on the mind, guessing how can God forgive me? Deep down the devil knows he can toy with you cuz you are wrapped up by your feelings! So let me tell you I was the same way n so tapes from JMM help me so much & gettn back n prayer! You need to trust God again! He is the only faithfull and just to forgive sins ! You have feelings and your feelings are human not divine!Christ died for you n folks that have done even worse! Start trust n God and know he loves you and let the past go!

For one thing-Do as Christ told the woman taken in adultery,"Go and sin no more"

You have to forgive yourself, God has forgiven you already. Be strong. "Look to the hills for whence cometh your help your help cometh from the Lord."

True cluny

Psalm 51 is a very good one to read. It is the Psalm David wrote after being convicted of the sin of adulery and murder. Yet GOD forgave.
---Samuel on 5/27/11

\\God can't forgive sins unless there are sins to forgive, so if one repents and asks for forgiveness it's all okay again?\\

BTW, forgiveness of sins does NOT change the past into a record of achievement.

Christ is risen!

Why does it feel like God will never forgive you?

What are you expecting to feel? Are you wanting to forget the experiences and cannot? Are you wanting to feel the love of God move over you?

I do not know what forgiveness feels like. Forgiveness is a fact. It cannot be felt, it must be known. If you do not know in your heart that you are forgiven, then perhaps you should revisit your relationship with God. God's Word says you should know.

Turn to Psalm 51 in your bible. If you don't have one,go buy yourself one.Turn off the tv,telephones and all other distractions. Get down on your knees and begin to read this psalm out loud.Cry out to the Lord. Use these words written in the psalm. Let them get down in your spirit and really mean it. Ask God to sincerely, forgive you. Pray the words over and over, if you have to. But once you are through, get up and believe you are forgiven. Don't keep holding the guilt. And resolve to never do this evil again. Stay away from the guys you did this with. You have to forgive yourself, too. God forgives but we must believe it and let it go. something to consider:

If you are not a believer in Christ, then God will not forgive you.

Forgiveness is relational, as between a Father and His children. Only children can be forgiven.

Do you believe in Christ? Are you fully confident that Jesus has paid the penalty for all your sins? That He took all your sins upon Himself when He died? That only by His death can we be righteous in God's sight?

There seems to be some doubt about this on your part. But that's what it means to believe in Him. That would lead me to believe that you may not be a believer, and that God will not forgive you.

If you are a believer in Jesus, then that relational forgiveness is for you if you confess your sins.

No, becoming a new person in Jesus does not mean we can start sinning again. So, we do not get forgiven so we can do it, again.

And Jesus does not use some hell threat to get us not to sin. But God wants love to be our new reason for not sinning.

And it won't work to punish ourselves and guilt-trip ourselves so we can use our self-inflicted pain to pay God off so we can do some pleasure thing again!

And Jesus wants us to forgive others > "'And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.'" (Mark 11:25)

\\God can't forgive sins unless there are sins to forgive, so if one repents and asks for forgiveness it's all okay again?\\

Et reliqua.

The tone and order of your questions sound like you're not seeking information, but are trying to start an argument.

With all respect, it's pointless to talk about God offering forgiveness of sins with someone who doesn't even believe that He exists.

Christ is risen!
---Cluny on 5/26/11

G-d forgives us of our sins, however, we still have to pay the consequences. Go, and sin no more.
---Gophylann on 5/26/11

Alex - If you have confessed this as a sin, then God has forgiven you and washed it away as if it never happened (1 John 1:9). Now it is the devil condemning you, NOT God - and the devil is a LIAR.
---Leslie on 5/26/11

Alex, You do need to really repent of this activity. Because you were sexually intimate with these 3 men, the bond will be that much harder to break. It could lead you to want to repeat this with some other man or men later on, as the Devil knows your weakness in this area, and he will try to use it against you. So, you must truly decide to repent of it before the LORD. Ask GOD to forgive you (see I JOHN 1:9 and PSALM 51). In His great Love and Mercy, He will forgive you in His Son YAHUSHUA's Name and by His Blood. But, staying Pure and Holy is needed to keep yourself out of Hell and the ensuing Lake of Fire.

God LOVES to forgive sins. Haven't you heard?

Christ is risen!
---Cluny on 5/26/11

God can't forgive sins unless there are sins to forgive, so if one repents and asks for forgiveness it's all okay again? And you can start all over? So you believe you can sin constantly, ask forgiveness, and then sin again? I guess it's important not to die between sinning and die. Then you would have a Hellish problem, right?

God LOVES to forgive sins. Haven't you heard?

That's why there's Jesus!

John 8:1-11

Go And Sin No More

YOU need to make a decision to Turn Away from your sin and NOT Repeat it.

GOD will forgive you for truly repenting of your sin. HIS forgiveness is immediate. That is the easy part.

The more difficult part is that YOU need to forgive yourself. ALL of us -- if we're truly sorry about sinning against GOD -- will feel Bad / Upset / Depressed about what we did. Prayer, Bible Study, Talking With A Trustworthy Friend, etc. are some ways to help with forgiving yourself.

Everyone has a sinful nature and we struggle constantly against that. Ephesians 6:12. I believe that GOD wants us to recognize that.
We ALL need Jesus Christ the Savior! John 3:3-6
