---Darlene_1 on 7/1/11

Darlene, I can sympathize with your pain and predicament finding a dentist. I will pray. Let us know how you're doing.
---christina on 6/29/11

MarkV thank you so much, yes I know you will be praying. Please pray for me now,i need to have all my teeth pulled and now some of them are infected and throbbing at the root. i am in terrible pain and my doctor couldn't see me today. I'll see him tomorrow and get an antibiotic shot. Please pray also I can find a dentist I can afford in my local area who will put me to sleep to pull my teeth, there are 16 and I am a sissy and don't want to be awake when they are pulled.
---Darlene_1 on 6/29/11

Christina, you and everyone who has asked for prayer, I am with all of you. Though I may not answer here much, I still read the comments that are posted. When the storms come in our lives, we can be sure that God is there to get us through them, with health, or strength, or to increase our faith. He has His well being for all of His children. Peace and love and blessings to all brothers and sisters families and friends going through many tribulations.
---Mark_V. on 6/28/11

Christina I am praying and I hope everything falls in place for you. Since we have sought God for help I feel what God appoints God anoints,God will make a way. The Bible says,Psalms 37:25 I've never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread.
---Darlene_1 on 6/28/11

Darlene, how wonderful, and what an example of love he showed, by giving so much of himself. It's sad when our parents health starts to fail, but it brings home how precious every moment with them can be.

I may have found a house to rent with my daughter, it's a little higher priced then we'd hoped, but not impossible. I'd appreciate further prayer.
---christina on 6/28/11

Christina yes he is a good husband,in fact he was taking care of her completely by himself until it ruined his health,he's 83. The doctor told him he had to put her in a nursinghome he has a weak heart and it was literally killing him to care for her. I will be praying for you and I am grateful for your prayers.
---Darlene_1 on 6/27/11

Sorry I have not been back to this blog. thank you all for your prayers.

Trish, I appreciate the "hugs". I will be keeping you in prayer.

Kathr, correct, little to no payment of child support, and yes, praise God, He is able, and will see us through. I have fought depression a lot, sad for the pain for each child as well as knowing my ex is in pain, even if of his own choosing.

Darlene, what a good husband your brother in law seems to be! May god bless him, and all of you during this time, bringing you closer to Him and each other. May He be your comfort and strength.
---Christina on 6/25/11

Trish I most certainly will be praying for you. May God cover you with his love and strength you by his power to help you and keep you. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 6/25/11

I appreciate all the prayers that have been said on my behalf. I now have to have an endoscopy to see if I have an ulcer. I have had them in the past, and have symptoms that go with them. I also need a rhizotomy, a procedure where they burn the nerve endings to relieve constant, chronic pain. These have to be scheduled two weeks apart because I am on coumadin for blood clots, and they have to give me a medication I inject into my abdomen when I go off the coumadin. So, I need to accept this side of my health as well.
---Trish on 6/24/11

Please pray for my Brother-in-law his wife is in a nursing home dying. She's been ill for years. They have been married 60+ years and she hasn't been in the home long,he will be very lonely when she goes. He's there and feeda her every day. She still knows everyone but kidneys are shuting down. Pray for her that she is ready,I'm not sure, saved when young though. MarkV yes that is always a worry when there are untamed cats around, I was a little bit concerned about that too especially when the kitten diesd but I had seen that happen to kittens before its a disease they're born with. Thank God he healed that child. Mama is fine.
---Darlene_1 on 6/20/11

Christina: I am praying for you and your little ones. I understand how addiction can affect a family on so many levels.

Sending you hugs.
Trish
---Trish on 6/19/11

christina, I think I'm beginning to see a picture here..( dad not working to pay child support either?...)

I am so sorry. My best friend went through that. The Lord is watching christina. I KNOW He will take care of you and those children.

And I will to be praying for your x.

Sister Darline, the story you mentioned about your mom reminded me of a story I read this week about a little girl in Arizona who was scratched by a cat at a school that had rabies. They did not know, so they didn't give her the rabi shots, and after two weeks she was almost dead. It was too late for the shots, but by the grace of God and the doctors who worked on her she is now doing fine. a Miracle of God that she survived. Only one of many. Supposely there is many cats around that school because the kids feed them.

Thank you Kathr! I wish to ask prayer for my ex also, who recently returned to his alcohol, maybe the crack too. He's now homeless once again, very sad for him, our kids...
---christina on 6/17/11

Christina, my heart and prayers go out to you. I know what a single Mom goes through. Been there. I know the cost of living in CT is high too.

At least I know how and what to pray for in your situation.

Keep us informed. If you do decide to re-locate, homes here are going for dirt.
---kathr4453 on 6/16/11

Kathr, lol! Glad to hear you don't bite, even from Hotlanta! Thank you for your kind words and offer. That's very sweet of you. I live in Connecticut, rent, but the house up for sale. I still have 3 children at home, a 13 year old boy, and 14 and 17 year old girls. They're pretty good kids, though they've been througha lot. As a single mom, it's not easy, financially or otherwise, but God has been good to us, and is doing so much in their lives. My 2 girls in high school desire to stay in the same town, but it's beyond my financial means. of course it's not impossible with God. I'm excited for a change for many reasons. I'm not sure what else you might like to know, but I really appreciate your prayers!
---Christina on 6/15/11

Christine I am praying for you.

christina, where do you live? And can you share more? I live in HOTlanta. My kids are grown and out or married. However the economy is horrible here. Horrible but not impossible.

Anyway, just reading your posts I KNOW you are a godly woman. My home is always open to my Sisters in Christ.

Actually I am very different in person than online here. And, No I don't bite.
---kathr4453 on 6/15/11

I could use prayer about finding a place to live asap. I have
limited funds to work with. I'd like to stay in the same town if possible, but I'm willing to go wherever God sends me.
---christina on 6/14/11

Trish oh my goodness yes,Mom does exactly the same thing when its hot,but does open the front and back door. She does know when I'm there she has to turn on the airconditioner or I won't stay. She is cold natured too so she never relizes its so hot but like your Mom mine has a heart condition. God Bless ya'll its hard to try to make tham understand some things just aren't good for them.
---Darlene_1 on 6/14/11

Darlene, I understand about your Mom's insistence that she be entitled to do what she wants. My Mom has that same attitude as well. We had 99 degree heat one day last week, and she refused to turn on her air conditioner. She has a heart condition, and does not open her windows. Argh!!!!! My sister called her and told her to mail her the electric bills and turn the air conditioner on when the temps are high.

Trish thanks I know you prayed. It can be serious,Mom had a horrible infection before on her face because of a cat scratch,I took her to a doctor and he put her on antibiotics, shes doing ok so far. I think we need to pray about her stubborness. I told her time and again not to handle those untamed kittens. Her answer I like to do it and I will do what I like. She is inconsiderate too,I reminded her that then when they bite her I am the one who has to take her to the doctor. I don't mind taking her to a doctor when its an illness but frankly I am not physically able to keep up with her rebelliouness getting her into trouble. I now may have to have a knee replacement its almost bone on bone and painful. I just pray for God's strength and patience.

Cluny: We have proof in the Scriptures that there are distinct differences between the 10 commandments ad the Ceremonial law/statutes.
10 C: are of a permnant nature
CL: came to an end when Jesus died.
In DEUT 4:13-14 God declared they were to keep the 10 commamdments which He wrote on tablets of stone,in contrast with the statutes and judgment which he (Moses) was
to teach them and which he wote in a book.
Different as to content:
1O Commandments: there are no curses recorded in them.
CL: contains an abundance of curses and judgments.
10 Commandments written by God
by his own finger.
CL: written b Moses using a
BIC pen.

10 commandments stored in the arc
CL: stored on the side of the arc.
---Pierre on 6/10/11

\\What are some key differeces between the decalogue and the ceremonial law/ordinances\\

Those who know that the Bible does not make the distinction that you have made--the Bible knows only ONE law, called "The Law--know that this is a non-question.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 6/9/11

Darlene, I hope your Mom is having a doctor look at that. My son-in-law had a cut on his finger that got so infected it had to be operated on multiple times. The infection got down to the bone. Please take Mom to the doctor.

Please pray for Mom. She picked up an outside kitten of a free roaming mamacat and it bit her. The next day it died. It had an infection in its eyes and she was trying to doctor them like the Vet told her to do. I've seen the same condition in kittens before so i don't think it had rabies but the bite is now swollen, red, and hurting badly. Trish I'm so happy your son is better ,you and your family are in my prayers.
---Darlene_1 on 6/9/11

Praise the Lord, my son was discharged from the hospital. It turns out that he had a cyst on his chin that developed into a staph infection. He is on a very strong antibiotic for it, and is feeling fine now. God is so good.
---Trish on 6/8/11

Sean is 28 years old and lives six hours away. I asked if I should drive out to see him, and he said, "No." Thanks for praying.

KarenD praise the Lord for that good report of the man being cancer free, thats wonderful. As for the Christian who was buried and gone home to the Lord,he had the ultimate healing as the Lord has taken him home to make him whole and free from sickness. I prayed for my elderly Granny, years ago,who was in Intensive Care, and shortly afterwaed she died. I prayed for healing and God took that old saint home and I thanked him for his ultimate haealing for her.
---Darlene_1 on 6/6/11

Last week we buried a man of God who had suffered from an illness caused by "agent orange" in Viet Nam. Yesterday we spent the day with another Godly man who was having the last surgery for cancer after months of chemo and radiation. Cancer is all clear now. Praise the Lord!!!!!

leej: You refer to "the Sabbath" as "Jewish Sabbath" Nowhere do I find such an expression
in the Bible. I can
find "the Sabbath of the Lord" but never "the Sabbath of the Jews."
The fact is that Adam was the only man (Jesus used the term 'man' in the generic sense) living when God made the Sabbath. There were no Jews in the world for at least 2.000 years after
creation so it could not have been made for them. Jesus made the Sabbathin in the first week of time. It is the only day
claimed by God in he Bible. In writing the decalogue , God called it "the sabbath of the Lord Ex.20:10 and in Isaiah He is quoted speaking of "the sabbath (as) my holy day" Isa 58:13.

Happy bday Pierce. yes, the Jewish sabbath is always there and those who belong to the Old Covenant still observe it. However, those in Christ observe the Christian Sabbath - Sunday.

Clearly anyone knowledgeable of early church history should be able to see that the early Gentile church did not teach observance of the Old Jewish Sabbath.
---leej on 6/3/11

aka: The Sabbath is based on
the weekly cycle. Once a week,
as the earth rotates on its axis, the Sabbath reminder travels around the earth reaching every man, woman and child with the message of an instant creation and YES it is appropriate to wish me a HAPPY SABBATH every seven days
right into eternity when the Sabbah will still be celebrated.
My Birthday is based on a yearly cycle *June 2nd* comes
around once a year and so it is only appropriate to wish me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY once a year.
The Lord's birth/resurrecction
Q was not clear to me.
The sheep fallen into the well Q.
The Bible makes it clear that it is ok to do good on the Sabbath day.
---Pierre on 6/3/11

Pierre, what makes you think your question is better?
There are 714 bylaws. Now what is your answer about the sabbaths? How many?
---Elder on 6/3/11

i thought the Sabbath is a based on a week and not a year like birthdays and anniversaries.

(Happy Birthday, Pierre! Should I wish you another Happy Birthday every seven days from now until next year? :~)

why is the day of the Lord's birth set on a particular day and his resurrection is not? could it be that the Lord's business must fit our lifestyles and man's interpretation of God's doctrine?

If we hear a sheep that is fallen into the well on Sabbath, are we resting in the Lord if we do not retrieve the fallen until after Sabbath?

Elder: You asked me if I knew how many Sabbath there are?
Let me answer you with a better question?
How many commandments are contained in the 1o commandments?
What are some key differeces between the decalogue and the ceremonial law/ordinances
What is the difference between te 7th Day Sabbath and the yearly sabbaths?
God bless yo in your study!
Pierre
---Pierre on 6/3/11

Pierre, you say you deal in facts huh? Well the fact is that in the bygone years that you were here you proved that even you don't keep the Sabbath. By the way how many sabbaths are there? Do you know?
---Elder on 6/2/11

Elder:You asked me a "may be" question but I'd rather deal in facts.
The Sabbath memorial cannot be changed because it points
backward to an accomplished fact.
Just like July 4 is Independence Day, an established fact (it was signed on July 4,1776) it too
cannot be changed.
We CAN call another day Inependence Day, and we CAN
call another day the Sabbath, but that does not make it so!
---Pierre on 6/2/11

Tomorrow is my last day of work. I have today off. I am writing this while listening to the National Memorial day concert.

I cry for those fallen and for those hurt and for those who will fall in defence of freedom.

I thank GOD that He is still GOD and trust in Him.

"Sabbath memorial be changed? (No! Not anymore that my birthday can be changed? My birthday is tomorow and it will be so for the rest of my life!)"
Pierre
Maybe if you die and resurrect you will celebrate that date instead! Which do you think was harder to do, be born or resurrect? Would you have another birth date if you get Born Again according to Scripture?

Tomorrow is my birthday . On
that special day I would lke you to consider the following:
Which day did God bless and sanctify? (The 7th Day)
How was it to be kept holy?
(By resting)
Could any of the six days be kept holy? (No) Why? (Because
God commaded us not to rest on those days but to work.) Dooes God's blessing make a difference? (Yes!) The
7th day is differnt from all
the other days because it has God's blessing.
Why did God bless the 7th day?
(Because it is like THE BIRTHDAY of the earth and He wanted it remembered as a memorial to his creative authority.)Can the Sabbath memorial be changed? (No! Not anymore that my birthday can be changed? My birthday is tomorow and it will be so for the rest of my life!)

Trish, praise the Lord you got the job. I know how much you love ministering to the clients you will have. Thanks for the prayers. The infection hasn't gotten to my lungs, thank God,I got a Bicillian shot that lasts 10-14 days and will take it easy. My daughter is haveing a cookout the 4th and I hope to be able to go to that. I'm coughing like crazy but did get medicine although my hope is in the Lord.

I am praying for Darlene this week. She posted on May's What's Up? Blog that she is sick.

I got the per diem social work job at the psychiatric hospital I used to work at. I would appreciate prayer as I learn the skills of this particular position. I love working there, and am looking forward to this opportunity to minister Christ's love to the patients there.
