Good news on your son Trish. Now lets work on that back of yours!
Sounds very painful!
---John on 7/28/11

Trish, how is your son? I am glad to hear that he came up with the money. Any changes in your pain? That must be very difficult.
Darlene, What a blessing to have the closeness you describe for all those years. Hod is SO good to give us loved ones, both to love and be loved by. He will be with you through this. I pray that the lord will be your comfort and strength in this time, and will make Himself known to all involved, that he would be your all in all, our glorious Lord and King, the all wise God. I will be praying. Bless you and Trish too.
---chria9396 on 7/28/11

Please pray for my Brother-in-law,his wife can die at any second now. Pray for my husband too,he is keeping vigil with his brother at the bedside. The couple has been married 60+ years it will be hard for him without her. For the whole 56 years we have been married they have been not only our close relatives but best friends. She has suffered with breahing problems for years so I know she will be better off, shes been in pain and on morphine for a good while now. They have no children.
---Darlene_1 on 7/28/11

I love the way this blog is going, each day more and more are praying for each other. That is the way it should be. Everyone supporting each other in prayer. Praise God for what He is doing in believers lives and also those whom He will bring to His Kingdom in the future.
---Mark_V. on 7/23/11

John: Praise the Lord, somehow my son came up with the money.

Everyone: I would appreciate prayer for a procedure I had done today to alleviate chronic pain. The pain is excruciating, and I have had cortisone shots to help lessen it, but those shots have been limited in their effectiveness.
---Trish9863 on 7/22/11

That's pretty sad Trish. I went thrugh it. He needs to get another place quickly(within 60-days) by then it will be on the records and he will have a hard time renting a place.
---John on 7/20/11

I'm praying for my oldest son, who has a lot of anger towards his father as well as God. He dealt with abuse and abandonment. At 21, his best friend was killed in a car accident, and then his next best friend was killed almost 2 years ago in a tragic boating accident. Another good friend had extensive TBI from same accident. I've seen him grieve and become bitter, refusing comfort, prayer whatever might help. My heart breaks for him. I,d appreciate prayer for him
---chria9396 on 7/20/11

Chria9396 thank you for your prayers and yes I will let you know about how my daughter does. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 7/19/11

John: I am not sure. He and the landlord have already been in court, where the judge flat out told my son that if he is late again with the rent, the landlord has every right to evict him. He had to write a check right there in court to satisfy July's rent, but did not have the funds to cover that check, so it will bounce, and he will be evicted. The hearing was on July 11th.
---Trish9863 on 7/19/11

How late is he on the rent?
---John on 7/19/11

Thank you all who are praying for my daughter for the job. Trish I am praying for your son. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 7/19/11

Donna: Thanks. My son will probably be evicted from his home due to not being able to keep up the rent. I am worried sick about him. He has applied for assistance from the government, and receives Medical Assistance and Food Stamps. He is hard working and highly intelligent. He struggled with some drugs in the past, but does not do that anymore.
---Trish9863 on 7/19/11

Trish-- Will indeed pray for your son. There are many in the same boat (which, of course, makes it even more difficult). I'll pray that the Lord gives him favor in the eyes of prospective employers and brings opportunity his way.
---Donna66 on 7/18/11

I hacve been without a computer for close to two weeks, and am so sad to see this blog turned into another political debate.

I would appreciate prayer for my son, who has been unsuccessful in finding a job for about a year now. He also is planning on returning to college to complete his degree, which is about halfway done. My son is 28, and already has hypertension.

Thanks,
Trish
---Trish9863 on 7/18/11

Will be praying Darlene. Let us know how all turns out.
---chria9396 on 7/17/11

Thank you, John... It is what it is. The posting issue has made me think about HOW I respond, not just what I respond. I have tried to tone down some of my responses and have seen more posts. Please pray for my daughter to get the job she applied for which is located only five miles from her home,it'll save on gas. She has worked for a company which does taxes for people for 22 years and is tired of all the on the road time it requires, also not uncommon to work until 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. She is the one who sets up all the offices and programmed the computers for twenty two offices in six towns for years. In the last couple of years the company sold several offices and she no longer can make a decent living taking care of half the number she used to. She is a major contributer of support for two Grandchildren, who with their mother and her new husband, live with my daughter and husband.
---Darlene_1 on 7/17/11

Thanks Nurse! Now I understand.

BTW...

I want you to know that over years we have argued or I have Bashed Obama. I am aware you have posted many excellent and great replies that were never posted, due to censureship.

It has to be very frustrating seeing me get the last word etc. When in fact you had the right answer and not me.

I get censure at time also.

It take guts to be a liberal on a Conservative site and vicsa versa and it gets really frustrating.

Just wanted you to know that I know!
---John on 7/16/11

John, I never said they were banned, but seems everyone else seems to thinks they are.

The law does NOT ban these bulbs, it simply changes standards, requiring them to use less electricity to produce the same amount of lumens (a measure of the light perceived by the human eye) They will be probably be phased out when companies find it easier to use a different type of process (i.e halogen or CFBs). Many other countries have already done this.

Yes you will be able to buy incandescent bulbs after the 1st.

There is a lot of things that cause cancer, John, (think teflon and grilled hamburgers). We are not going to see a massive increase in cancer becuase of CFBs.
---NurseRobert on 7/15/11

Right-on Donna66!

Nurse I am not familiar with the details of this law.
You say they are banned and then you say they are not illegal. So can we buy these bulbs after Jan? Please explain this law then (This is honest question, not a challenge)

The Cancer I spoke of is due to the Combination of Toxic materials and Nanotech Particles (manmade objects/machines that are submolecular and pierce the BloodBrain Barrier) these particles enter the Cells Nucleus with these toxins. So they short circuit the process.

John, nowhere does it say it will be illegal to buy these lightbulbs. Have you even read the law? The law is entitled: Energy Independence and Security Act. It was signed by President Bush in 2007.

You're an intelligent man, read the law and then make a decision. Stop listening to the right wing talking heads.

And you haven't answered the question: How is it unconstitutional?
---NurseRobert on 7/14/11

John, Yes. A bill was intoduced to recind this legislation, but just yesterday, it failed. The government has far too much power to suit me. I've met some people who left Europe or the U.K. to escape such socialistic nonsense, and they would agree.
---Donna66 on 7/14/11

Nurse, this is more blatantly unconstitional than even Bambi's attempt to force American to buy his Obamacare.

That one's arguement is it would cost other taxpayers more money etc.

This is telling Americans it illegal to buy a harmless lightbulbs that we have been using for over 100 years and effects no one. Not even the user.

It not harming anyone AT ALL!
It's not Guns or Cigarettes or fried foods.

So we live in an insane nanny Socialist state!
---John on 7/14/11

John, just HOW is this unconstitutional?
---NurseRobert on 7/14/11

Fearful democratic socialist types want their Government to make their decisions for them. Feed, protect, instruct and provide in every area. Who's acceptable as a mate, permission to kill the unborn type of light bulbs, guns etc, etc.

(In our "Republic" fantasy world) Our Government of man is always honest, fair, non bias'd made composed of 3 branches of carefully screened moral Christian value types who honor and obey everything GOD outlined.
Fantasy #2 they listen to the people who elected them.

---NurseRobert on 7/14/11

I agree with you Donna66. This is a health issue as well as a rights isuue.

Is there any group/s challenging the constitutionality of this law?

---john on 7/14/11

Darlene-1--We all comply when we have to. They may have had some good reasons for "banning" rabbit ears, I don't know. I've been stocking up on incandescent bulbs, though. I've read the OSHA regs (safety rules) for CFLs written by the same government who wants me to buy them. I don't care what CFLs look like...Incandescent bulbs are safer
Where do you take your broken or burned out CFLs?
---Donna66 on 7/13/11

In some things we don't have the means to do anything but comply.
---Darlene_1 on 7/13/11

And I thought we lived in a "Free" country.

Texas will have them. They were passing a law for that.

I checked CNN(Yes Nurse sometimes I look at their site) and a recent survey shows the majority of Americans don't want these banned.

John -- I noticed the irony, myself. Bush signed the 2007 bill...Obama will reject it's repeal. RINO and liberal.

//If you breath the Nanotech particles of the CFL you would develop lung cancer within 1 yr. and it will be the most incurable type.//
That's interesting, but unsubstantiated by medical science. If true, I should probably have died years ago, I've broken so many. I never held my breath either, in fact probably abruptly inhaled...Gasp!
(I've even had them break in my hand while attempting to install directly overhead)

Elder, of course, pointed out the ultimate irony. We are responsible enough to choose life or death for our unborn children, but not what kind of light bulb to buy..
---Donna66 on 7/13/11

John just to share a thought, I didn't want to give up being able to use an antenna on TVs since thats all we could get at the Deer Camp but the Federal Government put it into effect, not even letting TV Stations broadcast on the wavelength(or whatever it is)for antennas after a certain date. I don't like the funny shapped bulbs either but I'm sure I will be just as helpless in that as I was in the TV problem. In some things we don't have the means to do anything but comply.

---John on 7/13/11

Go to the store and buy them.

Donna, the 100 watt Incandescent bulb will be illegal in Jan of 2012. They will still be available.
---Elder on 7/13/11

No, Elder, they won't. The law does not say that and you can't post a single line in the law that outlaws them.

Donna, the 100 watt Incandescent bulb will be illegal in Jan of 2012.
We have the choice to murder babies in the womb but not to use the bulb of our choice. I wonder why that is?
Our wonderful government lawmakers at work I suppose. Ya, they do whine because a company exec get to deduct travel expences on the company jet but they spend millions to send AF-1 & AF-2 with fighter jets, equiptment, staff, security and so on, so a Mrs. president can take a trip back to the homeland.
You figer it out I can't.
---Elder on 7/13/11

I hope you're right Nurse about the Incandescent bulb still being available. Because as Donna66 said The CFL are highly toxic. If you breath the Nanotech particles of the CFL you would develop lung cancer within 1 yr. and it will be the most incurable type.

I heard that LED bulbs are now available ($50 each). They are virtually non-toxic and are 100-200 times more energy efficient than CFL.

BUT..

The point is freedom of choice and lost of rights.
In this case Nurse we can blame this one on the Republicans who wrote the orginal bill and passed it.

How ironic!(RINOs)
---John on 7/13/11

Nurse--True. The word "ban" isn't there, just standards for making light bulbs phased in after 2012. Most CFL's still don't qualify. And they are far more hazardous than what they sought to replace. For something made ONLY in China, they are expensive.

What householder will follow OSHA's instructions for cleanup after breakage. (if you lack hazmat clothing you should open all windows...take the remains sealed in plastic to a special disposal site). Presumably, there, they will be disposed of in a way that doesn't contaminate soil or water.

Why not stick with incandescent bulbs until more affordable and safer halogens are developed.
What mundane American preferences will Uncle Sam try to legislate next?

---KarenD on 7/12/11

Donna, the other blog was closed but I needed to respond to your comment about CFLs.

Nowhere in the law does it say we are REQUIRED to use CFLs. Incandescent bulbs will still be available. The law simply sets standards for power usage of these bulbs. In fact, bulbs that meet these new standards are available now.

Furthermore, the EPA is not requiring "special disposal sites" but encourages consumers to "take advantage of local recycling options." There are states that are requiring more stringent disposal means, but that is being left to the state governments (isn't that what the repubs want?)

You can find this information on multiple sites, including the EPA site.

We do have an obligation to speak up when we see wrong, and political dissension is vital to keeping this country strong.

Unfortunately, it does turn nasty at times, from both sides of the isle.

Being told to "love it or leave it" is an insult to everything this country was founded on.

CAI #303> YWHW

The Symbols YWHW are the Reflection of G-ds Proper Name which is unpronounceable/cannot be uttered. It's blasphemous to speak it, since you can't!

It's NOT the same as "Descriptive" names used for G-d(Elohim, Adonai). THIS IS HIS NAME represented by these Letters/Symbols.

Jews would substitute the descriptive names for YWHW since they had no other name. YWHW IS NOT A NAME!
Only symbols!

Some Christian decided to add vowels so you can pronounce it (Blasphemy). Theres PURPOSELY NO pronunciation for these symbols. So you do NOT speak it!

Merely attempting to speak it is VAIN. So speaking it, is using G-ds name in vain since you're only guessing.

YWHW DOESN'T EXIST IN THE LXX!

Thank you all for your prayers. NurseRobert thanks for that information you see I had never heard of it in humans as a common thing, and especially children. The only thing I've heard in Texas is cattle and maybe a very few times a cowboy.
