Darlene, been praying for you. Keep us posted on Debbie's condition.

I would appreciate prayer this week, as I am packing to move to the apartment downstairs. I developed some type of virus this evening which has me sidelined when I should be packing. Thanks.

Please pray for my daughter,Debbie, she had supper with her uncle and was still at his house when she got chest pains. They took her to the Emergency room in an ambulance. My husband just left to go over there about 25 minutes away. She is a Christian and baptized. She does have diabetes and high blood pressure which isn't good. I am praying its not her heart, she has pains like that which are caused by indigestion. Thanks

Please continue to pray for Mom. The niece and nephew of her boyfriend of 20+ years didn't even give him a burial service. They had him creamated and he will be placed on an indoor wall at the Veterns Cemetary in Killeen TX. Mom really needed the closure a funeral would have given her.

The doctor said I'm ok.I really thought I was but the old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" still holds true.
---Darlene_1 on 8/26/11

Praise God I made it through the night with the bump on my head. I am going to the doctor this morning and get an X-Ray just to be safe since it does hurt today. Thanks for your prayers.

If anyone sees this tonight please pray for me about 1 1/2 hrs ago a small lamp with a heavy metal base fell on my head and make a knot the size of a large egg. It is burning and hurting, some sharp pains once in a while and otherwise throbbing. Pray I don't have a concussion or bleeding in the brain. Not throwing up which is a symptom of concussion. I'm praying i don't have to go to the emergency room it is sometimes 5 hours before anyone see you. Thamks

Tina maybe the man isn't the one you would pick for your Mom,my Moms friend wasn't one I would have picked for her. I had to look at the positive impact he made on her life, the fact he was always there for her if she got sick, talking on the phone and visiting which made some happiness for Mom. I wouldn't have denied her that for anything in the world. What you need to pray for is that God give you the faith enough to let God take care of your mother. Pray for her and the man but remember, the Bible says bless those who curse you and pray for those who dispitefully use you. The man isn't doing either to you but that is a good guide to show what we must do for others. Live your life for God,the prayers of a righteous man avails much.

Tina: I understand your concerns for your Mom. I am not sure if my Mom's friend is a believer. We have discussed the Gospel, and I have explained the way of salvation, but they are both so old, and easily confused, it is sad to see them not sure if they are saved.

Mom is 85, and Sam, her beau, is 86. All I can do is pray.
---Trish9863 on 8/24/11

Tina, my answer has only good intentions. Your mom is old enough to make decisions. And you are right, to ask for prayer for her. I'm sure you think of your dad alot and disagree with what she is doing for several reasons, one that he is younger and two, because you don't think he is good. It looks like she is living in sin right now, so I would suggest for everyone to pray for her salvation if she is not saved. Her soul is more important then any actions she is taking. Lets pray that she comes to a close relationship with Christ for her and for the glory of God. That He works a supernatural miracle in her life. Let God take care of her path, and walk worthy of your own faith.

We lost my dad six years ago and today is his 62nd Birthday. My mother has been dating a local guy for five years, he is 13 years younger then her and isn't good for her, so.. I guess What we need is prayer that either God. Change him or my mother finds a good Christian. Partner.

Trish thank you,yes it is hard for our moms like that. Its great yours found another. Mom has no one now and she is too old and disabled,to find someone else, most men her age are dead and younger men usually want younger women. Moms boyfriend was 8 years younger than her. Mom will get very lonely she was just like your mom talking on the phone every day and seeing him several times a week. Shes having a hard time realizing she isn't next of kin so she can do nothing for him now. She was all he had for over 20 years. His heirs are coming to make arangementds for the funeral. Please pray she will quit feeling responsible for him and wanting to do things which are out of her hands.

Darlene, your poor mother. I understand your concern about your Mom. My Mom dated a gentleman for five years, and he passed away from congestive heart failure. Now, she is dating his widowed brother. They see each other a few times a week, call each other daily, and have a garden every summer where they plant a bumper crop of vegetables and then can and freeze things in August and September. But, she gets lonely at times, which is understandable. I will pray for your Mom.
---Trish9863 on 8/22/11

Please pray for my Mother. She is 93 and her boyfriend died,he was 85. She didn't hear from him for 24 hours so called police and they broke in his house and found him dead. He has heart trouble a long time. Mom is devasted he would come to see her several days a week, they were very close. She needs strength to get through this she is a Christian.

Christina thank you. The day after Velma died my Brothr-in-law and one of his nieces was cleaning house for the dinner when they took a break in the double garage, him on the car,her in a chair. He looked out in time to see a White-wing Dove flying down the street, turn in at his drive, come straight to the garage, fly around my Brothers head and fly back out and away. My husband told him that was God sending Velma to say goodby. My Brother got peace and relief from his grief right away,as did my husband who was also having a hard time, when he heard it. The preacher who preached the funeral said the same thing,God works in mysterious ways.

Attending Assembly of God General Council in Phoenix this week. Enjoying a wonderful week of no driving. They have an awesome lite rail system. Takes us 10 minutes to get to the convention from our hotel. Lots of great fellowship with old friends.

Candice: Happy Early Birthday. You are my children's age, now I feel old. My daughter just turned 35 in July, and my older son is 33.

Monday was my grandson's 2nd birthday. I finally got to talk to him on the phone. Barely understood a word he said, but it was cute. Then, I got to talk to my granddaughter, Isabel, who had turned 4 in June. She is so precious. They both are. She reminds me of her Mom when she was that age.

God is so gracious in bringing those angels into my life when He did.

That's a good idea, Darlene. My sis-in-law's wedding was held in a very old church, with no air conditioning. She had a basket of fans at the back of the church for any guest that wanted one. There was also a case of water for anyone who needed it. The weather was very mild that day, so nobody got too hot.
