Iran Not In The News Today

Have you noticed how Iran has disappeared from the news? It seemed logical to assume that the recent breakthrough by the Israelis in computer "hacking" (very similar to phone hacking) is the cause for this change in Iran's disappearance from the front page of major world newspapers.

Those who are anti-Jewish are simply ignorant of what the Bible teaches.

Funny. Ever wondered how an Actively "Anti-Christ" country and people "would" be the "Chosen" people?

Only the "intelligent", informed denom's know the secret. It must be a secret...because they cannot unify scriptures showing how this anomaly is so.
Sometimes it is better to be considered "ignorant" than wise. ha.
Acts 2:36
Therefore let all (ALL)the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

But Jews, as imperfect Christians are not saved, and so will burn in Hell, right?
*****

actually NOBODY is saved today ...it is a promise ...that is where FAITH is ...if you had faith and were "saved" today it would not be faith because you could SEE IT

the news is DRIVEN by those who make WAR ...war is not something that happens between governments it HAPPENS to make MONEY ...the media DELIVER whatever they want the MASSES to believe they SELL ideas not real events ..."news" is simply a means to divert the simple-minded to believe group THINK TANK ideas ...media is OWNED by those who create wars for money ...the name of a country is NOT where the interest lies ..."news" is not truth

donna66, i too am subject to 125...economy of words. i wasn't really referring to the events in hindsight, i was really referring to the reactions our reactions to the inevitable. they are going to create catastrophe for their own purpose.. but, if we carry on with foresight, our reactions do not have to sway to and fro. you do not have "to be there" to have the proper insight. there is nothing new under the Son.
---aka on 8/5/11

aka-- Sorry for the sarcasm. I could have gone on and on about how I think people were justified in having the concerns they had at THAT time....yada, yada, yada.
About how hard it is to understand peoples reactions if you were not there at the time...blah, blah, blah. About how hindsight is always 20/20
etc, etc, etc.

Do you like that better? I don't imagine so. I didn't take the time to write this way the first time because I like economy of words... and it wasn't my main point. But I didn't intend to be unkind. Sorry. (Sarcasm comes so easily to me..have to watch it...afraid it often hurts more than I realize)

But does this mean the earthly "Jerusalem that now is and is in bondage with her children [Jews]" as St. Paul called it--or does it mean "the Jerusalem which is above is free and is the mother of us all [Christians]"?

Many arguments over time have been presented, including those before they actually happened, therefore they are arguable. There are some agreements that I agree with and some that I do not.

yes...man-made situations to create disruption, take away our personal freedoms creating power, and to get our money.

Donna66, where is the sarcasm coming from? (is it coincidence that when i post an opinion that is opposite yours that you seem to start attacking my posts after that? history seems to indicate this pattern.)

The American media reports what they believe to be the major concern (or sometimes what they think SHOULD be the major concern) of the American people. There are important things happening all over the world, .
Try reading online versions of foreign newspapers, if you want to know more.

The "hoopla" about "Global Warming" was too political to ever be taken entirely seriously. The experts who disagreed (and there were many) were summarily discounted.

I remember when Al Gore was worried about the hole in the ozone layer in the 90's. He's been quiet about that lately, especially since it closed up.

He's been silent about that lately, but has one of the biggest carbon footprints any individual can have.

Did you notice that about for the past few years no "expert" has brought up global warming, which would make sense right now.

it seems as people stop listening to the "experts" that they have to sound a new alarm to raise tax revenue and break down individual freedoms. now, it is the budget in america.

terrorism (00s), global warming (90s), star wars (80s), man in space (70s), cold war (50s and 60s), WWII (40s), Great Depression (30s), WWI (10-20S)

I am not debating the legitimacy of some of those, but the ones that are legitimate were arguably preventable.

mima, i know that you and other dispensationalists think that Israel is God's pet nation and everything it does its wonderful, but it's made up of people who would be called "lost" if they lived anywhere else and who do exactly the same things we criticize our own government for doing.

mima:

The news agencies will publish anything they deem "newsworthy", which in this day and age means "anything that will keep viewers' attention despite their microscopic attention spans, and thus increase sales and/or advertising revenues". Lately, we have had bigger fish to fry in the U.S. (such as the debt ceiling).

Despite large use of computers, news agencies are run by human beings, and reporters are human too. SOMEONE would notice if stories were filed and not printed, and if that happened, you can BET they would be furious about whoever did that, and make THAT a big story in itself.
---StrongAxe on 8/3/11

We watch Aljazeera most days. Iran is often mentioned. American news only concentrates on what gets the most viewers. It's all about revenue.
---John.usa on 8/3/11

Could it be more likely that the media has been paying more attention lately to the battle over the debt ceiling?

And there are more places than the news to find out what Iran is up to.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 8/2/11

Mima,

So you are saying that Iran has disappeared from the news because the Israelis have hacked the computers of the news agencies?

Do you have scripture to back that up?
