There has been 3.6 million acres burn in Texas,600 homes now in Bastrop, there have been 1000 homes in all in Texas burned. The fire in Bastrop is 30% contained and they say it is the result of changed weather. Even though it hasn't rained I am still believing it will but what has happened the high winds 30 or more miles an hour, have layed, plus the temperatures have been in the 80s and 90s instead of up to 107 degrees here and that has helped firefighters a lot. I believe God is answering our prayers and the lowered wind levels and temperatures is one way he is doing it and it will rain. Laura I am praying for all of Texas and other States too who are suffering drought.

Please also pray for the people in Montgomery, Waller, and Grimes county. The wildfires in this part of Texas have burned over 20,000 acres of land and more and more people are having to evacuate as we speak. Please continue to pray for rain for all of Texas.

\\i think your supposed to go outside and Praise God for the rain and say its raining
---karen on 9/9/11\\
Surely this is a joke.
Faith does not demand we say things that have no basis in reality.
Glory to Jesus Christ!

Darline, all the people of Texas are in my prayers. I hope all is well close to you and your families. There is just so much stuff going on in the world. I have been keeping up with the news in Texas because I have so many friends that live there. Some of my relatives have been calling me. God is the only One that can change the weather.

The reasons we don't know, and perhaps can't know
But prayer is what we can ALL do for this, and God knows what the best answer is for this disaster

Father God, You are Almighty God, our protector, may you manifest your protection and love to the people of Texas impacted by this tragedy. May you meet the many needs of these people in ways that will bring you honor and glory. Raise up your church to pray, to give, to comfort and love, to be your hands and feet. May the Lord Jesus be made known and be lifted up in countless lifes. In Jesus name
Although it does not compare, where I live we have been dealing with the effects of hurricane Irene. The blessings that have come about are awesome, I've had multiple opportunities to bless and be blessed. Difficulties, even tragedies, have a way of humbling many, making a way for God's blessings.

God grant there be no further loss of property or life.
We've having drought and fires a couple of states away ourselves.
However, I hope this is will be a lesson to those who think that natural disasters are God's punishment on the people in that region. (As if Luke 13 wasn't enough to teach otherwise.)
After all, would God be punishing CN's webmaster were his house lost?
Think about it.
Glory to Jesus Christ.
