Josef, very good points you again gave. Since Jesus Spirit resides in all believers, and Jesus is in the heavenly places in Christ, then heaven is within each believer.
I always thought about heaven and where it was, then when I begin to read about the Kingdom of heaven and the Kingdom of God, I also thought about it that way. Some passages have a different context and give a location as the New Jerusalem, and paths of gold. But on some of the context it does seem to indicate heaven is within us.

Heaven can be thought of as another dimension those in Christ will go to. It is unseen but will be seen when Christ returns.

Heaven is not the academic world, lots of knowledge, material wealth, or being under the tutelage of great spiritual leader.

When believers die their spirit will be with Christ (Php. 1:20f) and upon His return will be united with a resurrected and immortal body (1 Cor. 15:53)and dwell in the glory that is heaven. 1 th. 4:17

If our mind has been elevated above ones senses, If our perceptions reaches beyond the tangible, If we believe heaven is where the Father resides, and believe the Father dwells within us. Then heaven is within, as the channel through which His Divine Inspiration flows.
As His called and chosen we will experience heaven tangibly, here on earth during the millennial reign of Jesus. Afterwards we will enjoy the beauty and comfort of His bride, the new Jerusalem, where there will be no more sorrow, pain, or death.
The only other Heaven man will experience is the visual space above us. Perhaps after the Father has established the new heaven and earth we will be permitted to travel and enjoy the galaxy beyond that.

Cluny, I also agree with you. Just because we have no clue the location of heaven, we know Christ is there, and does not mean it is not real. The same goes for hell. We are given many images and discriptions but no locations for either, heaven or hell. We are told what will be in heaven and what will not be in heaven. We know it will be everlasting, and we will have a glorious experience of glazing at the face of God, which is not possible in this life.
---Mark_V. on 10/20/11

Like hell, I don't believe it's in this physical universe. That does not prevent its being real.

Jesus said, "The Kingdom of God does not come by observation, and people will not say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' for the Kingdom of God is within you."

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Leon, very good answer you gave. While "everywhere" is content with living the best way he can, believers are to live a life worthy of their salvation in this ungoldy world. And you are right when you said this is the only hell we will see this life. After, It will all be awesome after that. Seating on the same train to heaven. God knows where it is at. Peace brother.
---Mark_V. on 10/19/11

Leon, you may be right. But my aim is to live the best I can on earth, only because that's the right thing to do, not because I expect a reward in an afterlife. :)

"Heaven and hell are located right here on earth. They are what you make of life right now.

Hell? People have been raising hell on earth SINce Adam's fall. The hellish, unrepentant multitude's reserve for themselves a life of torment in the pits of hell after they "permanently" die.

Heaven? Believers in Jesus do have heavenly experiences while living on earth. But, make no mistake, earth isn't heaven! In heaven there will be no crying, no dying, no pain & suffering... (Rev. 21:4)

Life on earth is the only heaven unbelievers will ever know. For believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, this is the only hell we'll ever know.

1Jn_4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
1Jn_4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Rev_21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Rev_21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Heaven is in God!
You're only in heaven, if you're in God.
You're going to heaven, because God sent his Son.
For us!

Jesus came in the "fulness of time" (the completion/end of "time") and ushered in "the age of eternity" (in Jesus, we no longer 'EXIST' IN TIME, but have "LIFE" eternal). Daily, we live the present part of ETERNITY. The DESTINY part will be a CONTINUATION.

Satan doesn't want us to know this. He doesn't want us to fully realize what The Lord has done.

2 Thessalonians 2:6 "And you know WHAT is restraining him now"(if OUR SPIRIT is aligned with the SPIRIT OF PEACE AND TRUTH, we need not acknowledge satan's existence).

Instead of handing all of God's deep truths to us on a 'silver platter', Jesus leaves pleasant little mysteries for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.
---more_excellent_way on 10/11/11

In the afterlife, our DESTINY will be either the "city of God" or the "lake of fire" (a continuation of how we have chosen to live). It does not come with "signs" that can be seen...

Luke 17:21
"The kingdom of God is NOT coming with signs to be observed,...the kingdom is in the midst of YOU" (the KJV says "the kingdom is WITHIN").

If you have a heavenly mind, it is possible (even probable) that you will sometimes encounter trials of faith that you may 'OVERCOME' and grow, or 'trials of humility' that you may stumble and know that HE is God.

Every day, live with Him inside you, that is where His kingdom is right now, not in books or buildings (if you truly wish it to be).
