bill, to reply to your 1/12/12 post: each president recieves hundreds of these "so-and-so is determined to attack us" reports every day. Bin ladon was one of dozens of high ranking threats each day. Ahmadinejad has been saying the same thing since he became president in 2005 - and we definately know where he is.
As for Bush Jr., he went after Saddam Hussein on the premise that we needed to cut the funding of suicide bombers - a good strategic move. Saddam offered $30,000 to each family of suicide bombers.

george w bush was decisive on 911
ON 8/2001 PRESIDENTIAL DAILY BRIEF TITLED
BINLADEN DETERMINED TO ATTACK US
is given to george w bush.
he ignored it. is that decisive?
bush said 'i don't know where osama is '
the mastermind of 911
is that decisive
bush went after saddam instead of the mastermind of 911.
is that decisive?
bush said 'i am protecting US' after 911
is that decisive?

Christians can be some of the nuttiest people in the world and being a christian is not a sufficient reason to be president anymore than a nutty person in a congregation deserves to be pastor.
Obama IMO is a very confused Christian and doesn't deserve another bite at the apple, while Romney is a believer in a doctrine of demons. You won't find holiness as a reason to vote for either man, and there is no biblical mandate for vote for a bad king.
We're in bad shape brethren.
---larry on 1/6/12|
I didn't mock his job as president, he did very well, but I question his christianity. No true christian would bow dow to a false god.
---Steveng on 1/6/12|
As for George Bush Jr., he is not a christian.
---Steveng on 1/5/12
I cannot make that decision about another person. Frankly, I can only know about myself.
I believe that God raises up rulers/authorities for certain times and for His own purposes.
George W. did a lot monitarily in his second term that angered me. However, when I look at what happened on 9-11, I am so grateful to God that George W. was in office instead of Al Gore.
Like him or not, George W. was decisive about 9-11, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He did not wait and take polls about public and congressional opinion, he went full speed ahead which was needed at the time.
---Mark_Eaton on 1/6/12|
I don't think a president being Christian or not makes a huge difference. However, a president who follows his convictions, wants best for the country, a smaller gov't, and personal responsiblity is good. Then I can decide if i like them or not. I can say this because change does not happen with gov't but me and we. How can we blame our gov't for being irresponsible when we cannot be responsible for ourselves. So STOP complaining and start doing what God tells you to do. Get out of debt, Find a church and serve it, Love your spouse, etc.
---Scott1 on 1/6/12|
People all throughout the world are crying out for good leaders. They will find non in today's world. That's why the people are protesting in almost every country. The Antichrist has a good change right now to emerge.
The last time people rallied together was during World War II. Today is different. People are going in their own separate, selfish ways. It's difficult to get people to rally together on anything anymore (except maybe for keeping their pensions).
As for George Bush Jr., he is not a christian. Twice did he visit Japan and twice did he bow down to their gods.
---Steveng on 1/5/12|
bill, you said,
"W. bush & HIS righteousness, his 'christianity' but for 8 years of his presidency did people rejoice?"
Yes, many rejoice on what he did, maybe not you and all the liberals depending what it was you wanted and didn't get. When Carter was in, not many rejoiced but many others did. The same holds true for everyone who has been in office. When you get what you want you rejoice, when you don't, you don't rejoice. What you forget is that everyone in office is a sinner. To what extent only God knows. We only do what we see as righteous, and so we vote. Some complain and do not vote. All claim to be Christian, just like all who go to church claim to be Christian but few are.
---Mark_V. on 1/5/12|
Bill, "righteousness" means, "full of right", "not wrong", "obeying or doing God's Two Commands": 1. Love the Lord Jesus Almighty first and completely. 2. Love others as you equally love yourself: this is the Golden Rule found in both testaments. Do and say to others exactly what you desire others to do and say to you. For the way of righteousnesds, Please Read- Ezekiel 18:5-32.
---Eloy on 1/5/12|
define righteousness? anybody can define & justify 'righteousness'. many believed in W. bush & HIS righteousness, his 'christianity' but for 8 years of his presidency did people rejoice? people suffered bec. of HIS war, torture, unemployment, homelessness.
and pat robertson even JUSTIFIED bush 'righteousness'. now that US is a mess, christians blame the liberal democrats.

\\Michele Bachmann will!!!!
---John on 12/29/11\\
Bachmann has suspended her campaign.
Now what, John?
---Cluny on 1/4/12|
Eloy has it right.
Prov 29:2 "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice,
But when a wicked man rules, people groan".
We must remember we are the righteous, not just the President of the US.
If we, the believers in Christ, become many or increase in number, then the people will rejoice. We need to take this to heart and be "large" in our influence.
However, it is very much true that when a wicked man rules, most people suffer.
---Mark_Eaton on 1/4/12|
Michele Bachmann will!!!!

6th place in the Iowa caucus.. less than 8% of the vote...
hitch your cart to the wrong horse John ,)
Im sorry your candidate did so poorly..
---NurseRobert on 1/4/12|
Mike, of course Christian presidents make our country better. While there are many things people don't like, not everything will be as they like it to be. People are only looking for what is good for them. If something is not the way they like it, they are mad. No one is going to do everything the way you like, there is too many different views and needs. What we do know is that everyone who comes to power, does it by the will of God. Only by His permission are they in power. No one is in power against the will of God. If they have more power then God, then God is not God.
---Mark_V. on 1/3/12|
I love conspiracy theories. They're entertaining. I found different websites claiming that Roosevelt, Stalin, Hitler, the pope, Bin Laden, and Mother Teresa were all part of an ongoing masonic plot to rule the world. Yes, very entertaining! :)
---John.usa on 1/2/12|
Not by himself.
Not if he is Christian in name only and only in reputation of certain Bible-claiming people who are just using him as a political puppet to get religious people's votes.
We who obey God are His one nation. And consider that the obedience of Abraham has gotten "all nations of the earth" "blessed" > see Genesis chapter 22, especially verse 18. So, we who are Jesus people love all others as ourselves, and so we do not have favoritism for one country, but care about getting "all the nations of the earth" "blessed" (c:
And no nation is great while it does not effectively defend its own unborn citizens.

they are just puppets of the cfr. now, it seems, they are mocking us. why gw at that time? gw was willing to do what he had to do to let the hidden powers play. two questionable elections...do you think it came down to the truth? no. it came down to the most willing bidder.
btw-educated or not...do you really think our higher ups have any clue or cares about us? you can call them predsidents, govenors, congressmen...i will call them kings, overlords, and princes.

"When the righteous increase, the people rejoice: but when the wicked rule, the people groan. Blessed is the nation whose God Yhwh, the people he has chosen for his own inheritance." Pv.29:2+ Ps.33:12.
---Eloy on 1/1/12|
George W. Bush was the first presidents (republican or otherwise0 I can remember whose disconnects with reality I found really disturbing. But Michelle Bachman puts him to shame in that regard.
I'm not talking about opinions on policies, or politics, or economics, or religion, or world views. I am talking about plain knowledge of simple facts that anyone familiar with the political scene should know (and ESPECIALLY anyone who is running to be the chief executive of one of the most powerful countries on the planet). If she gets elected, I will be extremely afraid, not only for the country, but for the similar information disconnect that must also be rampant among the majority of voters.

Good Christians make a nation great:
2Ch7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Note: The Lord is speaking to his people not the wicked.
---trey on 12/31/11|
John.usa: You ask the salient question. What is greatness?
Present and past definitions are linked to how many countries have been invaded, how many people have been slaughtered, and how much material wealth has been plundered? By the that barbaric standard, we have still have a few great nations.
The notion of greatness could be extended to people.
And using the same kind of definition, history has referred to a number of people as great. Yet, each of us knows people who are truly great, but the the world does not know.
Greatness, in terms of nations or individuals, is
not a reflection of God's approval. Rather, it is a privilege of powerful.
Greatness is defined by Jesus in Matthew 20:26.

We live in age where industry runs governments.I think it is far more the case of can a leader hold on to his belief?
How many times is his moral standing compromised? How many times are his good intentions or his pledges stifled by his government or his backers?
In this day and age even the best intentioned leader is compromised by the wills of those around him. I think the days of any western leader having true control of his country's destiny are gone.

The British were Christian and apparently God gave them a world empire. But, how do we define 'great'?
---John.usa on 12/29/11|
i know christians that smoke, drink to excess, do drugs, fornicate, adulter, lie, covet, cheat, slander, gossip, serve money, do not show love of God or others, murder with tongue and weapon)....
God makes a nation great. it was God that made David great, it was David that started the events that tore a great nation down.
the only great nation from now on will be the Messiah's.

Jesus Christ mission was not that of a politician but to save His people from their sins. You can rest assure that God's mission for His people called Christians is not that of being a politician but,
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19,20
